Diego P.O.V

Several months later. Shira and I would go out on dates. I was having good time with Shira.

Suddenly I felt I wanted to be closer to Shira. The feeling was to get married. It would be important choice to make.

I remembered back the day how I thought about it.

Flashback

I at home with my parents. My dad asked me if one day I want to get married.

I spoke, "Ew. It gross dad. I won't ever never going to married."

Dad spoke, "When you get older you will want to. You'll see."

"It will never happen dad."

"Oh until your Shira."

"What about her?"

"Don't worry son. Very soon you'll know."

Later that day I went to Shira's house. Justin and Soto was there. Her parents welcomed me.

As the four of us were there.

Shira spoke, "I got a question what do you want do you want to do when adults."

Justin and Soto spoke, "Getting married with someone." Referring to Shira.

I spoke, "Well live a life."

Shira spoke, "Don't you want to get married?"

"No way. It's gross."

"Oh... well... I guess I want to marry someone to."

Soto and Justin spoke, "Who is you are going to marry?"

Shira responded, "Well his name is Diego."

They spoke laughing, "It can't be this Diego. Sorry Diego she didn't chose you."

I spoke, "Oh well who cares who gets married."

Then we started playing board games.

My dad was right I did changed my mind. I also want to get marry.

I wanted to marry Shira. I but I would help and courage to ask her. But it be bad if ask someone but it has to come the heart.

I started to think where and how I'm going to ask her. I started remembering the advice my dad gave me when I was child.

In words of, "Son if you are going to marry someone. Take her to a beautiful place and could be anywhere. Mountain, or beach. You would want to get engagement ring. Not too expensive but must have a worth. Mostly will kneel down and ask the girl. Others will tell how they enjoy their company then asked. Is up to you son."

Is good to have dad that gives advice. I decided to go the jewelry to buy a engagement ring.

It must not too expensive that I can't afford. I decided to get quite expensive. My dad would do the same.

After buying the ring. I walked out of the store and saw Shira in front of me.

Shira spoke, "Diego what are you doing here?"

I spoke nervously, "What do you mean?"

"I mean you just got out of the jewelry store."

"Oh its nothing. I was looking at items and how they look."

Luckily I hid the ring in my pocket which Shira didn't notice.

Shira spoke, "Oh I just got out the store from groceries."

"Okay I see you."

Then Shira pulled me for a kiss. Which I kissed her back.

It was a close call or I would be busted. Then I was at home thinking where I should propose her. Then I remembered Shira enjoys looking at the view of nature.

I'm grateful for my dad told me beforehand.

One day I had to courage to ask her so brought Shira to her favorite place alone.

Shira spoke, "Diego you're acting unusual something wrong?"

I responded, "There is a reason. Beautiful isn't it."

"Yeah it been years we been here. The memories we made here."

"Yeah I remember it. The reason I brought you here alone is because I love you also..."

"Um what is it?"

I kneel down and took out the engagement ring and spoke, "Do you want to be my wife?"

Then Shira tears up and spoke, "Yes! I do. I want to be your wife. I been waiting for this moment for so long."

Then I placed the engagement ring to her finger. Then Shira pulled me for a kiss. Shira was happy that I proposed to her. She was waiting for me for so long.
