I was at home minding my own
business. I live alone without a wife/girlfriend.

I have good childhood friends which are Soto, Justin and Shira. About Shira, she was the one who made the group.

Ever since we met sine cubs I realized that Soto and Justin have a crush on Shira. We would talk about it. Since two guys likes the same girl.

The rivalry between Soto and Justin is constant. They would often buy expensive gifts for Shira so Shira will choose one of them.

It was funny to watch them fighting for Shira's love. Even though adults they are still trying win her heart.

To be honest I have crush on Shira, but I wouldn't show it. I'm afraid to tell her I felt and stay at friendzone.

I would just be a good friend. I wouldn't talk much but I just hang out.

Soto is rich which he takes Shira to expensive restaurants. Justin would be a nice guy like opening her doors, giving her flowers, being funny. I'm different I'm not rich nor fun. I never took Shira to a restaurant because there was no reason. I'm just a boring saber.

What the point trying to win her heart? Shira can have Soto or Justin. Even though I don't like it I must accept it either way.

I would normally walk alone everywhere I go. Unless I meet one of my friends.

Shira would normally go Justin's or Soto's house for a visit. Shira would rarely go to my house for special occasions.

Whenever we group together. Justin and Soto would always look at Shira how beautiful she is. They would do everything for her. Like carrying items from the store.

Then one day Shira invited me to a party.

I spoke, "Alright I'll be there."

I went to Shira's house as I entered there was Soto and Justin. I could tell they were having fun.

Soto spoke, "Hey Shira what if I take you to a restaurant. Hm?"

Shira responded, "I don't know you always take me to expensive restaurants. You don't have to."

"I want you to have fun."

Then Justin spoke, "What about me Shira? "

Shira spoke smiling, "Justin you are funny that makes my day."

"Glad to hear."

I spoke, "If you guys don't mind. I have to go somewhere."

Shira frowns and spoke, "But you barely got here for a minute. Something wrong?"

I responded, "Nothing wrong Shira. I'm busy with life."

"Oh I hope you'll okay." Continue frowning.

It was just a minute ago I entered Shira's house and I started leaving. I didn't want to become a third wheel.

I drove to a store to buy groceries. As I looking at food. It brought me flashback

Flashback

"Hey softie."

I spoke, "What is it kitty?"

"Why we are in a store?"

"Oh to get you candy. I know you like them."

"Oh cool. I want to make a promise."

I spoke, "What is it?"

"I can marry you someday?"

I could myself blushing and I responded, "Sure Shira whenever you're ready."

"Thank you softie."

Then Shira hugs me tightly. And I bought her a candy.

End of flashback

I started walking out of the store with groceries. I also bought a candy for myself.

My life is normal nothing exciting. I know that Shira's promise was not real because kids make things up.

I went back home and I noticed my phone died. I forgot to charge it. When I checked my phone. I had several phone calls from Shira.

I decided to call her.

Shira spoke, "Hey Diego. I was calling you."

I spoke, "Sorry my phone died. What is it?"

"I wanted to invite you tommorow to a theater with Justin and Soto of course."

I spoke, "As much I want to, but tommorow I got plans."

I  hear Shira's voice dying down, "Oh I see you're busy. Is it because of Soto and Justin?"

"No not at all. At least you friends to go with instead alone."

"True. It doesn't feel the same when you are not there."

I spoke, "Yup that's life."

"Okay... bye."

"Bye."

I took a deep breath, what the point trying? I went to bed and tommorow will be a busy day.
