Special
Fall
Marten
I look around for the source of my stress.
His parents were onto my back, probing me for his whereabouts. And I spent the whole evening going around in circle, scanning through the crowd, wondering where the heck he could be, that is if he was still around. But it wasn't like him to disappear into thin air.
Thankfully Mrs Cheong finally relieves every one of the hunt as she announces that Landon had left with his bride, whatever that meant. Scoffing at myself, I too leave the crowd, hoping to get away from here.
What a waste tonight was? What could have been a good night off, ended up being a chase. Rather a hunt. I got nothing out of it, except the bulging headache.
Couldn't he have just called me? Or at least replied to my calls? My night just got squandered in sweat. I was tired. Exhausted. I was not in the mood for celebration anymore. Or anything else. I just hope that I can glide past the crowd without any more spectacle.
But who knew that in my attempt to escape, I would get trapped forever?
I walk right into her, slamming against her slender shoulder.
She stumbles, losing her balance. Her silky golden hair dances along as she spins and falls right into my arms. And my arms immediately circles around her waist, catching her as she falls.
But in all honesty, I was the one to fall. Even before my conscious knew, I had fallen deep. I had fallen hard.
Deep into the bottomless ocean. Into that grey orb of hers that invited me home. She fell straight from heavens and right into my arms. She was an angel, descended from heaven for my sake.
She was my fallen angel.
My heart hammers in my chest but my lungs forgets to breath however, my hold on her only tightens more and more. My eyes never leaving hers as I witness the rest of my life in them.
And that moment, I knew I would not be able to live without her.
And that moment, I knew that she was 'the one' for me.
