Mikasa felt hatred take over her body and her actions.  She took it all out on the titans, she was killing titans without any problems.  If she sees a titan, she'll kill it, without even worrying how much gas or blades she had left.  She didn't care anymore.

Right now, all she wanted to do was to carry on Eren's goal.  Kill every single titan, but Eren's not there by her side. Instead, she's fighting alone, with no one by her side.

After she sliced her last titan, she was now back to reality.  She was running out blades and gas. She had no clue where she was, she was too busy killing every titan she sees, she didn't pay much attention on where she was going.  She's much deeper into the forest.

"Shit" she mumbled as she saw more titans gathering around her, no signs of the others, completely alone.  She looked at her last blade then checked how much gas she had left. But, she sighed in relief, the gas was enough to get her into a highpoint.  

She used her gas just in time before the titan swung it's arm to get her.  Mikasa landed on a high branch, small sound was heard from her gear, she has now ran out of gas.  About 11 titans were below her feet.

She then became mad at herself for being so reckless.  She yelled in anger and later punched the tree. At that moment, she wanted to take out more anger that was stored inside her body.

But she didn't have much time.  Titans were slowly getting smarter and were making their way up the tree.  If they continue climbing, it's the end for Mikasa. "HELP!" She yelled, hoping someone would hear her.

No response.  She sighed once more, she threw her last blade since it won't be much help at this point.  She leaned on the tree and slowly sat down. Knowing this would be the end for her.

No one around to help her.  She sat there, covered in titan blood and sweat, tired.  Tears started to form in her eyes. "I'm sorry....." She cried as one teardrop fell from her eye.

This is not how she planned to be taken out, she doesn't want to die either.  But knowing there's no way out, the only thing she can do is think she'll be in a better place with her family and friends.

Half of her was ready to leave this place but half of her wasn't.  She has to find a purpose for her to keep on living without regrets.

"....Someone.....please help..." She mumbled.

"Mikasa...."

"Please live on.....live for me"

"Eren?" She questioned the echoing voice.  That's voice never left her.

Then her beautiful moment was turned upside down when she then felt a giant hand grab her.  Her eyes widen over the giant titan with a smile on its face in front of her.

She struggled on its grip, trying to free herself.  But even if she tried, it was useless at that point.  She gave up, knowing there's no escape. So, she stood calm, accepting her fate.  As she saw the titan open its mouth more wider, she closed her eyes.

Then, she heard ODM gear.  When she opened her eyes, she saw a bright flash strike in the titan's nape.  

Her eyes widen, the titan slowly lost its balance on the tree.  Soon it fell, along with Mikasa in its hand. Mikasa saw the ground coming closer, she closed her eyes, waiting for the impact.  

As she was close on hitting the hard ground, someone caught her just in time.  She opened her eyes, the ground was going further and further away. But also, she saw titans coming after them but not fast.

She looked at the person who saved her.  A silent gasp escaped her mouth, it was Levi.  

"Levi" she was glad to see him until he responded.  

"Shut it" his voice sounded very angry.  Plus, he was covered in titan blood, it disgusted him very much.

Mikasa decided to stay quiet the whole time.  She didn't want to make things worse than it already was.  So, she looked at the titans.

She stole some quick glances at Levi.  He had the same expression on his face but right now, it had more disappointment included.  

She does admit that she got carried away.  And felt thankful Levi was there just in time to save her.  

But her thoughts were interrupted by seeing light ahead, the exit.  She heard voices shouting Levi's name and later Mikasa's.

Levi then landed on ground and let go of Mikasa.  "Mikasa where the hell were you?!" Erwin asked angry over her sudden disappearance, but decided to get her answer later, they had to leave now.  Titans were beginning to come out of the forest.

"Everyone let's go!" Erwin shouted and began to run back to his horse.  Mikasa turned to Levi who was already in his horse.

Mikasa looked around for a horse but they were all taken.  "Oi!" She turned and Levi signaled her to get on the horse with him.

She quickly ran towards him and got on, wrapped her hand around him.  Levi made his horse run to the formation, heading home.

Mikasa placed her head behind his back.  He was warm, she had this odd feeling, a feeling of being safe around him.

The formation ran towards the opening gates. Titans on the way lost track of them and no longer were behind them.  As the formation entered inside the walls, many cheered for being alive and safe for now.

Soon, the horses were back to where they were.  Soldiers were tired for today and went to sleep.  Mikasa was sent to the infirmary, where they'll be checking if she had any serious injuries.

While she was there, she couldn't believe that she would give up that easy.  She always thought she was strong, but sometimes, she can break into many pieces.  

When she was about to accept her fate, Levi came in and saved her.  She was speechless and wanted to say thank you but the words wouldn't come out.  She's never thanked anyone before, especially for saving her life. She's usually the one being thanked for saving their lives.  Now it was her turn to save thank you.

Then her thoughts were interrupted by hearing the nurse's voice, “Do you feel any pain right now sweety?” she asked.  Mikasa shook her head but she was emotionally hurt. “Are you sure?” Mikasa nodded and stood quiet. She was deeply hurt but showed no pain towards the nurse.

The nurse knew she wasn't going to speak, so she told her, “Well, it appears you have no injuries.  You are free to go….” Mikasa stood up, “....But right now I suggest laying down. You need some rest” she added and Mikasa slightly nodded and left.

“Mikasa come on!”

She heard, pain then visited her head.  She slowly lost her balance but managed to stay up on her two feet.  

“Hurry Mikasa!”

She heard two voices at the same.  Those two voices she missed deeply.  The two voices that belonged to two special people that ever walked into Mikasa's life.  

The ones she was proud to call family.  Eren and Armin. When they were young, they dreamed of exploring the world together, find new discoveries, end the living hell that was happening around them together.  Sadly, at the end, it didn't turn out the way they hoped to be.

Armin was killed and Eren ran out of time, leaving Mikasa alone.  She is now the last one standing.

Back to reality, Mikasa had trouble walking back to her room.  As her muscles began to turn off, she felt a hand grab her shoulder.  

Before she could turn and see who it was, it turned black.  

Few Minutes Later, Mikasa opened her eyes and found herself in her room.   She remembers trying to go to her room but never really arriving. Right now she couldn't care less.  

She moved her head facing a person sleeping peacefully in a chair.  “Levi” her voice sounded very soft and tired. He awoke by the sound of her voice.  

“You’re finally awake?” He mocked as he got more comfortable in the chair.  She chuckled, “How did I get here?”

“I carried you here.  I caught you, again, before you fell to the ground” he said, “And later brought you here, where you will rest for a couple of days” he added.

“Oh”

He looked at the time and thought it was time for him to go.  So he stood up and began walking towards the door. “Levi” she called, making him slightly turn around.

She stood quite for a few seconds, forgetting why she called him in the first place.  “Would you mind…...sleeping with me?” She asked, “I don't want to be alone”

He raised an eyebrow.  He was gonna deny the offer but he had nothing else to do and he didn't want to be bothered by that crazy scientist Hanji.  

He thought about it for a few seconds and replied, “Fine” Mikasa made some space in bed for him to lay on.  He walked over and sat next to her. After he laid down next to her, he suddenly felt warms arms wrapped around him and then felt her head laying on his chest.

He somehow felt comfortable, even more comfortable than sleeping in a chair.  It was an odd feeling he was having at that moment. A new feeling he's never felt before.  

“Thank you” She told him.  

It felt new hearing that, coming from a person who he least expected.  “Yeah” he simply responded. Then felt his shirt getting wet. Turns out, she was crying, finally releasing the sadness that was begging to come out.  

At that moment, he didn't even mind being dirty.  He was just glad that he was present to comfort her.  “Ssshhhh” he said in a soothing tone, as he gently ran his fingers through her black hair.  Then a small smile appeared on Mikasa's lips, she felt safe.

Soon after a few hours, they have fallen asleep.  

Little did they know, Eren and Armin's spirit were watching them from heaven, smiling.
