Chapter 29

Hours had passed. So far, nothing worked. Some ideas were close, others were not. He was only starting to get tired, but he needed a better plan that he already "formed". His original plan wasn't much of a plan. It kind of was, but not exactly.

His original plan was to have the girls go to the hospital and be safe, as he chased down the person, or whatever it was. It could have been an alien for allnhe knew, now that he saw an alien robot.

He wanted to get back to them, especially his family. Though he was afraid one of them might become injured again, if the sniper found them. He decided to cut the chase. Either way would be risky, really. He ran back to where they were before. Which took him hours to get there. He now realized that they ran farther than he had expected.

He decided to call Ariara while he thought of it. He might as well, if he wanted to know which hospital they were at.

"Hello?" Answered a young lady. "Is this you, Reyeld?"

"Yep. It's me."

"How did the chase go?"

"Not so well. I almost found out who it was, but they escaped barely. It looked male, though I could be mistaken. I'm heading to you guys right now. What hospital are you guys at?"

"We're at a hospital named Curn's Hospital. I'll see if I can track you from here. Then I can help you to get here." There was a pause for a short time, then Ariara spoke up again, "Ok. Got it! Do you see where 5789 west is?"

He stopped at a crosswalk, searching for a street sign. He then found the same exact numbers that Ariara had said to his right, "Yes. I see it. Do I go down there?"

"Yes. Then go down your first left you see."

"Roger that." He walked across the crossing walk when the sign told him to go. When he got to the other side, he ran as if he were going out for a run for fun. He then turned to his first left.

"Now turn right again. Then go all the way down the street, and then left. Then go down the street until you see the hospital. It'll be on your left."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." Ariara replied cheerfully. "Over and out." Both of them hung up.

Reyeld ran until her made it too the hospital. By the time he went in, he was out of breath. He was wheezing like crazy. Running mostly nonstop wasn't always the easiest thing to do, especially if that person wasn't always active. Reyeld was active and healthy, but not enough to run for hours on end, or even a marathon.

"There you are!" Ariara ran and hugged him when she saw him approaching.

He ran even if he was exhausted, and they braced each other with a loving hug.

"I was so worried!"

Reyeld decided this was his time to tease playfully, "Did you think I couldn't take care of myself?" He couldn't help but grin a playful grin.

Ariara couldn't help but laugh. It was hard to stay worried when laughing and smiling felt better. She knew he was only being his weird self, "'Course I didn't you silly goose!" Gently punches him on the shoulder. "Though I'm shoo glad nothing bad happened to you."

"I feel the same for you too." They embraced each other again, though they touched faces, and kissed in relief and joy.
