Chapter 18

They continued to walk until they stopped at a place. No one had any idea why they all did, but they just did. The group found what looked like to be an old abandoned house.

"Is this where we are supposed to go?" Pat asked, confused.

No one responded. Not because they were trying to ignore her, just because they had no idea how to answer her. They had the same exact questions on their minds.

They finally decided to go into the house. But it didn't look like a house. It looked like either a house or a mansion, or even a hotel. They weren't sure until now. They looked around to find that this building wasn't ordinary. It was may be even either special, of haunted. Either way, it seemed unique.

The reason why it was unique was because of how it looked on the inside. It was outstanding in a weird way. It wasn't exactly fancy, but it seemed like it was at the same time. Why was that? They had no idea really. They wondered that question to themselves, but couldn't find a decent answer for it.

The group walked further inside until they found something so outstanding, that they couldn't even describe it in words. It seemed like they were viewing memories of their childhood. They were in thwas some sort of crystal ball type of thing.

Brooke grinned, as she found one of her favorites with her and Pat. She gave a gentle nudge on Pat's shoulder to show her hee discovery.

Pat grinned as well. She remembered too well of that precious memory. Brooke also remembered it like it was yesterday.

"Remember how much fun we had when we had that pillow fight?" Brooke asked, laughing softly.

Pat nodded, also laughing softly, "Ya, I do. Like it was yesterday. We were so innocent then..." She sighed sadly.

Brooke gently rubbed her sister's back, doing her best to comfort her, "I do too." The tone in her voice was gentle. She then continued, "But we're still innocent. Not as much as we once were, but we still are. We haven't done anything wrong to cause this. Jesus and Heavenly Father still love you no matter what."

Pat couldn't help but break into tears as she hugged her big sister. Brooke hugged Pat back to try to help comfort her.

"It's going to be ok. I promise. Mom and dad aren't truly gone. They're watching over us right now I bet."
