3rd POV: MJ could not believe what was happening.

She was on her way to pick up Romy from school after taking care of her son and by the time she got there, she was told by a teacher who was leaving for home that Spiderman, her ex had showed up at the apparent request of Romy (she made a mental note to find out how) and instead of creating a portal to her home, the 2 went web swinging.

And now she's back home, expecting to see both of them show up, but instead gets a screen in front of her face that shows her daughter and Peter in another omniverse that's embroiled in some kind of civil war from what's she heard.

Her baby is in danger...

In a world that she can't reach...

She prayed that they both made it back to her universe because if/when they do.

She's going to give both of them a piece of her mind.

(Injustice world)

Grundy tossed a nearby trash bin at harley and spidey with the opposition rolling out of the way.

The zombie decided to go for harley quinn first, seeing her as the weakest of the 2 and charged at the former psychiatrist.

Harley saw Solomon coming and quickly pulled out her pistols and opened fire at the regime member to no effect.

With a mighty swing, Solomon brought his arms down, planning to crush the member of the insurgency, but harley was quick and slid under grundy's legs.

Grundy gave Chase trying to crush her, but harley dodged his attacks with minimal difficulty, waiting for an opening, and eventually decided to create one by grabbing a little present.

"Hold it!!" Harley shouted with an arm out, and Grundy actually paused to stare down at the woman. "This is for you." She said with a smile as she shoved the present into the zombie's hands.

Grundy grunted in confusion before he used 2 of his fingers to open up the present...

And was greeted to a cupcake with a timer on top of the icing that had 2 seconds on it.

"Eh?" Was the only thing Grundy could get out before the cupcake exploded, blowing smoke and fire into the zombies face.

Solomon backed up as he tried to wave the smoke away but got a web shot to his face and was dragged into the waiting fist of Spiderman, who sent an uppercut into the regime member's chin and sending up into the air and make him smash into the edge of an old theater building before landing on the roof.

The zombie slowly got up as a portal opened behind him, and harley jumped out of it with a hammer raised in the air, but grundy heard her coming and grabbed her in moddair by the leg and smashed her into the ground before bringing her up to her feet, pulling a knife out of his back and cutting her across the stomach. Harley yelled in slight pain but was then grabbed by the arm by Solomon, who jumped into the air and thrown her to the ground again with more force before landing and slowly approaching the clown as she got up. Grundy growled as he used both of his arms to reach into his stomach and pulled out a blank tombstone and raised it above his head and, with a yell, brought it down on Harley's head, making her collapse onto the floor.

(Omniverses)

Everyone flinched at the punishment harley quinn relieved, especially her counterparts, but what many were failing to understand was how she seemed to take the hits without much of a problem.

Some like batman, Amanda waller, lex luthor, Captain America, Mr. Fantastic, valeria, Susan Storm, Chris redfield, chun Li, and Cammy remembered that before the fight started, harley quinn consumed a pill. Whatever it was, it seemed to give the user positive effects such as high durability and, from what they've observed, enhanced reflexes.

The questions now were who made it and why?

(Injustice world)

"Hey!!" Spider-man yelled, catching grundy's attention as he turned around and was greeted with a roundhouse kick to his face followed by a 4 punch combo to the body and ending with a palm strike that knocked the zombie off of his feet. "You ok?" Spidey asked his ally as he helped her up.

"Thanks for the hand, sweety." Harley smiled as she was helped up to her feet. "And I'm fine. Made from tough stuff." She replied as she knocked the side of her head for emphasis.

Spiderman's spidey sense flared out in warning and acted on instinct, opened a portal in front of him as a fist went through it with another portal opening next to grundy's face and his own fist punching across his cheek and staggering him.

"My turn!" Harley yelled as she ran towards grundy, picking up her hammer in the process and began spinning like a helicopter, hitting grundy multiple times, stunning Grundy. Harley started running, and her right fist pulled back as if she was going to punch him but right as she was about to, she slid under the zombie's legs again and placed a cake under his legs.

"This will be a blast!" She cheered as she removed the cherry on top of it to reveal sparks going off.

Spidey quickly web swung towards the former villainess and grabbed her by the waist and swung away from the building just as the cake blew up, creating a massive explosion.

Peter landed back on solid ground, releasing his hold on harley as he did.

"You really like explosions, huh?" Spidey asked as he looked back up to the roof to see smoke going up in the air.

"Ain't no kill like overkill." Harley answered as she checked the magazine in her pistols. "But it won't affect someone like him. The guy can't seem to stay dead for good."

To prove her point, a figure descended from the sky and crashed on the ground before slowly rising to reveal the partially burnt and scarred face of Solomon Grundy.

"Grundy crush puny insects to dust!!" The zombie yelled as she smashed his hands together.

"OK, I think it's time for you to go nighty night now." Peter replied as he began silently weaving incantations.

Grundy lunged at Spiderman, but the webslinger dodged at the last second, and threw a magically enhanced punch into his stomach, sending him in the air before firing a Web at the zombie's chest and yanked him back with harley jumping off of Spidey's shoulders and aiming at grundy with her pistols and shot him in the eyes, blinding him.

A portal opened in front of the former psychiatrist, allowing her to go through with another portal opening and dispelling harley out of it as she rolled on the ground.

To finish it, Peter then created multiple copies of himself that ganged up on Solomon grundy, throwing punches and kicks in all directions and then ending it with the original spider totem jumping in the air and sledgehammering on grundy's back, smashing face first into the ground.

Grundy tried to get up, but Peter slammed his foot into grundy's head and made the zombie's face go back through the ground with Solomon's body going limp soon after.

"You may talk and fight like Hulk, but in my opinion, Hulk is the strongest there is." Spider-man said to the defeated Solomon grundy.

Hulk (616) smirked as his lover hummed in agreement at what the webslinger said.

"Thanks, webhead." Hulk (ultimate) thanked as he 'gently' smacked spideys back, making him fall out of his seat.

Mike haggar grunted in silent agreement as he remembered when he fought the Hulk due to a misunderstanding during the convergence.

Hulk (EMH) smirked at what Spiderman 616 said as he cracked his knuckles. No one beats Hulk.

"Not bad spidey." Harley said as she walked up to the spider totem. "The insurgency could sure use someone like you."

"I'll have to think about that." Spidey said as he moved towards the former psychiatrist. "After I get some answers on what the heck is going on in this world."

"Well, I could give you the answers you're looking for, but maybe somewhere where we won't get caught by anymore regime morons." Harley said as she looked around.

"That sounds nice, but I've got a little kid who's with the 'regime morons," as you call them, and if they're bad, I'd rather have her away from them." Peter explained. Harley stared at Peter with a wide-eyed look after hearing what he said.

"Ok, I'll give you the short version. Superman isn't what the good guy he says he is. He killed my Mr J..." Harley began to explain, a hiccup coming out of her at the mention of her former 'love'. "But he didn't stop there. He planned to kill more people, starting with people at prisons, and most of his buddies sided with him. Bats didn't want to end up a murderer and fought back with other people joining him, me included." Harley then held her arm and looked off go the side. "Supes got more brutal and started killing anyone that got in his way. Green arrow, black canary, and so many more of them. All to bring the earth under his rule." The former psychiatrist then looked back at the silent webslinger. "That's why the insurgency exists. To fight against Superman and his rule so that we can all be free.

Everyone stayed quiet as they listened to harley.

Superman (JLU) felt sick to his stomach. A while ago, he mentally thought and believed that if he ever went over the deep end, his friends would stop him, but it seemed that wasn't the case in this universe, and he instead became a tyrant and a murderer, just like his justice lord counterpart.

Batman (JLU) narrowed his eyes at the harleen quinzel on screen. unlike the one of his universe, the injustice variant seemed more concentrated and controlled in regards to her psychotic tendencies. Perhaps it had something to do with the death of the joker.

Wonder Woman and hawkgirl turned to each other in silence, reminded of the fact that their counterparts also joined the regime and followed an authoritarian Superman.

Cyborg and raven (TTG) frowned at the screen as they listened to harley whilst the team looked worryingly at them. They followed a murderer? They were supposed to be heroes.

Black canary and green arrow (JLU) wrapped their arms around each other, not believing that the other was killed, much less by Superman of all people. Green arrow prayed to anyone who could hear him that he hoped that black canary is never killed in action and that she lived a long, fulfilling life.

Barry (YJ) started going through multiple scenarios of what caused Superman to go over the edge and why his counterpart joined the regime when he would never take a life. The results became less appealing as he kept calculating.

For the Marvel omniverse, however, for those who dealt with a certain event, couldn't help but see history somewhat repeat itself but in another omniverse.

"It's like civil war all over again." Peter muttered, catching Harley's attention, who frowned.

"Happened in your world too, huh?" The clown asked, getting a nod as her answer.

"This is already getting out of hand. At least in the first omniverse, I had a bit of breathing room." The totem muttered before speaking outloud. "Alright, I'm gonna pick up Romy and find a safe place somewhere Superman and his regime can't find us."

"You 2 can stay with me and my crew." Harley suggested before she grabbed a device out of her pocket and handed it over. "This will give you coordinates to where the I'm staying at. Once you have your kid, just use this to locate the hideout."

"...thanks." Peter eventually said as he pocketed the device.

"Gotta look out for the little guy spidey." Harley said before she started pinching Peter's cheek. "Especially the cute ones." The former psychiatrist then stopped her actions and began walking away, but not before giving spidey a hard smack to his ass, making the webslinger jolt from the action. "See you around!!!" She yelled as she skipped away, humming a merry tune.

Spidey stared at the leaving clown girl before shaking her head.

"Women." Peter simply muttered as he opened a portal to the watchtower.

The hero from Queens walked through expecting to see romy and his clone waiting for him....

Instead, he was greeted with a stick and arm folded man of steel.

"Spiderman." Kal began. "Care to explain what happened down at Gotham?"

'Crap.' Peter thought as the portal behind him closed.

The atmosphere was tense as both heroes stared each other down.

It wouldn't be long before a battle would take place if the wrong words were used....

And it wouldn't be just any battle.....

It would be a battle of gods.

A/N: and done. We're getting close to a certain part of the arc I've thought heavily about. I've gone through multiple mental drafts, thinking about how to progress down a certain path, and I think we'll make it there soon.
