A/N: I apologise for any spelling mistakes.

3rd POV: Spiderman, Storm, and Psylocke were standing and looking around the area they were in, noticing the multitude of warriors, staring back at them with various reactions, though Spiderman was staring at shang tsung and couldn't help but say out loud.

Spiderman: Wow, you're really laying it on thick with the whole ancient master thing, huh?

Johny Cage let out a "HA!" In the background whilst many looked at the wallcrawler with various levels of disapproval whilst shang tsung glares at spiderman.

(Omniverse)

Many couldn't help but agree with Spiderman because he seriously looked like those ancient masters in the old movies.

Kid flash (YJ): he looks like someone from those old 90s movies.

Superboy (YJ): He kind of does, doesn't he?

Meanwhile, the heroes and villains from the injustice world couldn't help but raise their eyebrows in surprise as they remember encountering some of the warriors of the mortal kombat universe such as raiden, liu kang, baraka, kitana, shang tsung and sonya Blade.

In the street fighter universe, cammy stared at sonya Blade, feeling like she met the woman from special forces. The same could be said for ryu with scorpion and thor 616 with raiden.

(MK universe)

Shang tsung: (stands up from his seat) Spiderman, (smirks) or would you prefer Peter Parker?

Spiderman's eye lenses go wide before he narrows them.

Spiderman (in head): So I guess my omniverse isn't the only one viewing this. How many are watching me?

(Omniverse)

That question made many people question it as well, unaware of the other omniverses that are watching the show.

(MK universe)

Shang tsung: you have interrupted the mortal kombat tournament, and the penalty would be death. (Smirks) However, I will offer leniency, but only if you and your companions participate in the tournament.

Storm: (narrows eyes and whispers to Peter) I do not like him.

Spiderman: (whispers) me, neither. (Out loud) Is this tournament team based or a free for all?

Raiden decides to step in.

Raiden: The tournament is a battle between 2 realms, earthrealm, and outworld. Each realm must have its champions battle in mortal kombat for the fate of their respective realm. If outworld wins, then earthrealm will be merged with it and ruled by outworld's emperor.

Johny cage leans over to sonya Blade.

Johny cage: (whispers) Who the hell writes this stuff.

Sonya Blade rolls her eyes and moves slightly to her left to give herself some space.

Shang tsung: Choose your sides. Will you join your victorious outworld? (Glares at raiden) Or will you join the failures of earthrealm?

Spiderman stares at shang tsung before turning to raiden, having a state off with the god of thunder. The wallcrawler then turns to psylocke and whispers to her.

Spiderman: (whispers) create a mental link between us, I'll drop my defences enough to let you access my head.

Psylocke nods before creating a link between herself, Storm, and Spiderman.

Spiderman: {so I think we can all agree that we join earthrealm.}

Psylocke: {I thought it was obvious. That other guy just feels evil.}

Storm: {I hope you both realise that this is dangerous territory we are entering.}

Spiderman: Yeah, well, unfortunately, that is the story of our lives.}

(Marvel omniverse)

Everyone agreed with that, more so the spidermen and women as they have always wondered into the wrong place at the wrong time and ate forced to go deeper down the rabbit hole to get out of it.

(MK universe)

Spiderman then faces to shang tsung.

Spiderman: we'll take our chances with earthrealm.

Raiden smiles, glad to have more support in the tournament.

Shang tsung: (sits back in his seat and glares) Then you are all fools.

Psylocke: (narrows her eyes) If simple insults are all you have, then we won't have to worry about outworld.

Shang tsung: we shall see.

Shang tsung then addresses the rest of the kombatants and spectators.

Shang tsung: The tournament will resume!!! Our next match. Johny cage!

Johny cage: (confidently walks back onto the arena) Oh yeah! Let's do this.

(Ominverse)

Hawkgirl (JLU): he reminds me of you, Wally.

Flash (JLU): How does that guy remind you of me?

Hawkgirl (JLU): cocky, full of himself, hitting on the ladies, he's baisicly what you were when the league first joined.

Flash (JLU): I wasn't like that. (Everyone stares at him, and he relented) OK, maybe I was. Are you happy now?

Hawkgirl (JLU): (smiles) yep.

(MK universe)

Shang tsung then turns to Spiderman.

Shang tsung: and spiderman!

Storm and psylocke turn to Spiderman, who sighs and rolls his neck around.

Spiderman: Well, here we go.

Storm: Good luck, Spiderman.

Psylocke: You'll be fine, just maybe keep an eye on him (motions to johny Cage).

Spiderman: (nods) I will, I don't think he even realises what's going on.

Spiderman then steps up onto the arena, standing next to johny Cage.

Johny cage: hi, I'm johny Cage, I'm sure you heard of me (folds his arms, a smug smile on his face).

Spiderman: Nope.

Johny looks at Spiderman, slightly offended.

Johny Cage: Seriously? Massive strike? Ninja mime? Ring any bells?

Spiderman (in head): he's like Stark and johny Storm combined.

(Omniverse)

Johny 616, TAS and WGH (Worlds Greatest Heroes TV show [this will be connected to the spectacular Spiderman TV show]) took offence to that, they weren't anything like that. Invisible woman (WGH) saw the look on her brother's face and reminded him of the time he brought a camera crew to the baxter building for a publicity stunt.

(Mk tournament)

Shang tsung: your opponents will be the tarkatan baraka!! And the shokan Sheeva!!!

The tarkatan growls before leaping onto the arena whilst the shokan confidently walks next to baraka, cracking all 4 of her knuckles before placing her top arms on her waist and her lower arms folded.

Johny cage: mmm... ok, nice makeup, but is it really necessary? (Turns to sheeva) and how are you doing that with the four arms? Are you using animatronic arms?

Spiderman: (facepalms) Oh good god.

Baraka then unleashed his bone claws and growls.

Johny cage: Whoa!

Spiderman: Well, I'll be dammed. You wouldn't happen to be related to a certain metal clawed mutant, would you? Drinks and smokes a lot? Really hairy? Hasn't had a shower for about 3 months?

(Omniverse)

Wolverine 616: (growls) that son of a bitch.

Meanwhile, his 4 daughters chuckle.

(Mk universe)

Baraka: they will taste your flesh!

Sheeva: Come! Test your might!

Baraka charged towards johny Cage whilst sheeva rushed Spiderman, who got into his way of the spider combat stance.

(Omniverse)

The spidermen who are familiar with the way of the spider fighting style leaned forward whilst those that haven't got interested as they were curious as how this spiderman deals with combat. The same could be said for the rest, such as the batmen of dc universe, they've mastered many martial arts but it never hurt to see how this hero fought, the sentiment was shared with other warrior based heroes and villains.

Chun li: huh, using the way of the spider.

Cammy: Way of the spider?

Chun li: it's a fighting style that he developed. Ryu and I dabbled in it when we asked if he could show it to us. It's a little difficult to master.

Cammy: Did you ever master it?

Chun li: (scratches her head sheepishly) No, not really, like i said it was difficult, ryu didn't get far either.

(Mk universe)

Johny cage dodged out of the way as baraka lunged at him, aiming his claws at the actor, planning to turn him into a shish kebab. Johny cage lands a shadow kick, then bsckflips blackflip kicks him in the chin, sending baraka into the air and then tossing a green energy ball into the tarkatan, knocking him back. Angered, the tarkatan stands up and rushes at johny, and this time moves out of the way of the green energy ball and does his helicopter blade attack, slashing at the earthrealmer before stabbing him in the shoulders, lifting him up and then chomping on his neck. The actor screams in pain before double kicking baraka off and winding his fist back, the same green energy enveloping it, and then punches baraka across the face who comes back by stabbing johny in the stomach and headbutting the earthrealmer. Johny cage stumbled back but managed to regain his footing. His glasses were sideways and slightly cracked. He sighed in annoyance and tossed them to the side and bought a new pair our and put them on, using his middle finger to push them up. The earthrealmer then ran and performed a fly kick, ready to beat the shit out of baraka for ruining his expensive shades.

Meanwhile, Spiderman was caught in a bear hug and was being backhanded by sheeva's other 2 arms. Having enough, spidey rams his head back then smashes it into the shokan's nose, causing the four armed warrior of outworld to release him. Spiderman wasted no time and landed a 3 hit combo into sheeva's stomach before performing a roundhouse kick. After staggering back from the hits, sheeva raises a fist, attempts to bring it down on the wallcrawler, but he backflips out of the way, shoots a Web, and pulls the shokan towards him by spinning and then using the momentum to punch her across the face, making sheeva fall to the ground. Sheeva quickly stood up and kept trying to punch him, but the spider hero effortlessly dodged the attacks.

Sheeva: Be still!!!

Spiderman: Yeah, how about no.

Spiderman then spots johny cage on his knees, so he shoots a Web through sheevas legs and slides under them and fires another Web at baraka's raised arm, stopping him from bringing down a strike with his blades, this gives johny the opportunity to uppercut the tarkatan.

Johny: Thanks for that man, really loving the whole spider aesthetic you're going for, by the way.

Spiderman: Can you just- WHOOOAAA!!!

Spidey is then picked up from behind by sheeva and held above her head before she slams him down on the ground. The shokan jumps high up in the air and lands feet first onto his back, causing the wallcrawler to groan in pain.

Spiderman: (wheezing) ow.....my back.

(Omniverse)

Every spider cringed in pain and sympathised with Spiderman 616, and so did the batmen to some extent, being familiar to back pains thanks to a drug addicted luchador

(MK universe)

Sheeva then turns Spiderman onto his back and sits on him, unintentionally putting her ass onto the spider totem's webshooter.

Spiderman (in head): Oh, be still my strong and beating hea- OH FUCK!!

Spiderman brought his hands up to shield his face from the barrage of punches to his person but the shokan merely grabs his arms and pins them over his head with sheeva getting ready to rain more fists down on him with her extra hands.

Spiderman: ok, normally I'd be ok with a lovely woman such as yourself taking charge but not in this situation!!!

Sheeva: (smirks) You don't have a choice earthrealmer!

Spiderman thinks of an escape and decides to activate the inbuilt taser in his webshooters by flexing his fingers in a certain pattern. The taser is activated, and an electric current envelops the shokan. The shock stuns for a moment, which is enough for Spiderman to punch her off of him and then pushes himself up by kicking up in the air and landing on his feet before yelling and sending a powerful right hook into sheeva's face, sending the shokan skidding across the arena. Sheeva slowly gets up and looks at Spiderman with blood running down the side of her mouth, her eyes brightening with bloodlust and....was the wallcrawler also seeing lust?

Sheeva: You fight well earthrealmer, very few have made my blood boil in excitement. (Wipes the blood off), but I will win this fight!

Spiderman: strong, beautiful, and confident. I like that in a woman.

Betsy raises an eyebrow and communicates with Peter.

Psylocke: {Are you seriously flirting?}

Spiderman: {A little, yeah. But I'm also being truthful.}

Before more could be said, sheeva speaks.

Sheeva: it is time to end this!

Spiderman: I couldn't agree more.

The 2 kombatants charge at each other, but Spiderman had a plan in mind. Just as sheeva threw a punch, the spider totem slides under it and fires multiple webs at her feet, holding her in place, sheeva manages to twist her upper body enough to turn and face the wallcrawler only to go get hit in the face as spiderman runs past the outworlder and gets in front of her. Sheeva then throws another punch with her low right fist, but Spiderman backhands it and ducks another attempted swing and webs the fist to her chest and then fires multiple webs until sheeva's entire body is stuck in place.

Spiderman: All or nothing!

Spiderman performs multiple backflips before firing to webs past sheeva and pulling back on them as hard as he can before jumping ever so slightly and slingshotting himself into sheeva and punching her stomach with all his strength. The hit connects, and sheeva's rib cage cracks, and she spits out blood as she skids and tumbles across the arena floor before stopping. She stays down, battered and defeated.

Spiderman: (sighs) You're one heck of a fighter sheeva.

(Omniverses)

The people of the omniverses clapped and voiced their approval of the battle and spidermans victory, however some arrogant heroes (Iron man, cyclops, hawkeye etc from 616) said they could do better but they were largely ignored.

(MK universe)

Spiderman turns around just in time to see baraka fall to the ground and johny Cage standing triumphant.

Johny cage: man! I love those blades! My producer has got to meet you! We're doing "Tommy scissorfists" and-

Spiderman: Dude, seriously?

Shang tsung: congratulations, earthrealmers. Now, finish them!

Johny cage: finish them? (Laughs) Yeah, right.

Shang tsung: (angrily) kill them!!!

(Omniverse)

Everyone stayed quiet before some began to speak out in outrage.

Superman (JLU): this is what happens to the Losers?! They die.

Wonder Woman (JLU): where is the honor?!

Cammy: disgusting.

Valeria: Uncle Peter won't do that!

Artemis (YJ): you fucking serious?!

Aunt may (TAS): good heavens no!

Luke cage (ultimate): Is he for real?!

Spiderman (spectacular): he can't be serious!

More and more people began repeating the same thing, appalled by what they're seeing and hearing.

(MK universe)

Spidey turns to sheeva, who slowly sits up and tries to stand but only gets on her knees, her head bowed, seemingly resigned to her fate.

Johny cage still thinking it's a joke looks around to see everyone's reaction but they're all stone faced, waiting for the actor to kill his oponent, this slightly puts off psylocke and storm as while they have killed before, it was done as a last resort. Johny cage, now realising it wasn't a joke, exclaims out loud.

Johny cage: Whoa, Whoa, I'm not gonna kill anyone!

Spiderman: me neither. I don't kill, not unless I'm forced to.

Shang tsung: (narrows eyes) Is that so?

Spiderman: (narrows his eyes back) Yeah, and I suggest you don't try anything, or you will not like what I will DO TO YOU!!!!

The shout echoed across the quiet arena because when Spiderman shouted, the ground cracked under him, and a faint yellow aura engulfed him before fading away. This caught shang tsung and raidens attention as the aura, while other worldly, felt like something more, it felt.....godly.

Shang tsung:.....very well. (Stands up) The tournament will resume at dawn!

Everyone begins to leave.

Johny cage: what, that's it? Seriously?

Spiderman: Just accept it, Cage. (Turns to sheeva and walks up to her and extends his hand out to her). Here, let me help you up.

Sheeva stares at spidermans masked lenses in surprise before accepting his hand. Spiderman then pulls her up.

Sheeva: You did not kill me.

Spiderman: (shrugs) there wasn't a reason to, you were already defeated, besides, it's like I said, I won't kill unless forced to, and hey, who knows, maybe the next time we fight, it'll be on more friendlier terms.

Sheeva: (smiles slightly) you're a strange one earthrealmer but I thank you for sparing me (she puts her fists together and bows, but then stands and narrows her eyes) But know this, the next time we meet, you better be prepared for I will challenge you in mortal kombat and I WILL win, my shokan blood demands it.

Spiderman: (smiles) I'll be waiting.

Sheeva smirks before turning to leave.

Sheeva; until we meet again.

Storm and psylocke soon go to Spiderman.

Storm: Are you well, Spiderman?

Spiderman: Yeah, I'm fine, (winces) though she did my back in pretty good.

???: You fought well, Spiderman.

The Marvel trio turned around to see raiden and liu kang approaching them.

Spiderman: Thanks, ummm....

Raiden: I am raiden, God of thunder (motions to liu kang), this is liu kang of the shaolin.

Liu kang: (bows) greetings.

Spiderman: It's a pleasure, we'd introduce ourselves, but I have a feeling you know who we are.

Raiden: Indeed, we do. I'd also like to offer my gratitude for siding with earthrealm in this tournament.

Psylocke: Regardless of the universe, earth is still earth.

Storm: If you could, we'd like an explanation about this tournament.

Raiden: outworlds emperor, shao Khan is a ruler who seeks to conquer all. He has claimed the former realm of edenia and has set his sights on earthrealm. An invasion is prohibited by the elder gods.

Spiderman: elder gods?

Liu kang: beings who oversee the realms and carry out judgement should certain rules be broken.

Raiden: The elder gods created the mortal kombat tournament as a way to even the odds between realms. For generations, earthrealm has been protected by it's champions. If outworld wins, they can freely invade earthrealm, and we will be powerless to stop it.

Spiderman: we'll we can't have that happen.

Psylocke: we're already in this. We will help you win this thing.

Liu kang: it is much appreciated.

Spiderman: (looks around) Where's Cage?

Liu kang: (sighs) The actor has gone to look for the blonde woman that was here earlier.

Psylocke: sonya Blade.

Spiderman: (Turns to psylocke) You read her mind.

Psylcocke: only her surface thoughts, she's here to find someone named jax and take down a criminal named kano who just so happens to be here.

Spiderman: ok, I'll go look for both of them. We could use some more help in this.

Storm: psylocke and I will explore this place and scout the other kombatants.

Spiderman: (nods) Anything happens, send me a telepathic link. (Turns to raiden and liu kang) we'll see you 2 around, hopefully.

And with that, Spiderman swings away from the group as Storm and psylocke go their own path, meanwhile raiden stares at the retreating figure of spiderman.

Liu kang: Lord raiden, you seem troubled.

Raiden: I am. Earlier, I sensed a godly force residing within spiderman, it is a power that I have never felt before, and it slightly troubles me. (Turns to liu kang) it matters not for now. Let us go.

Liu kang nods, and the 2 duo leave the arena, unknown to them, shang tsung stayed behind, also looking at the retreating form of Spiderman with intrigue.

Shang tsung: such power he possesses, if he could be turned to the side of outworld or controlled, then shao khan's victory is assured.

He turns to kitana and Jade.

Shang tsung: follow and observe him, I must know what he is hiding within him.

The edenians nod and leave shang tsung by himself to ponder about the godly power within the spider totem.

With Spiderman, he continued to swing as he now entered a jungle, looking for the actor and special forces. He then lands on a branch and sighs.

Spiderman: Just another day at the office, it seems.

He sighs one last time before getting his game face on and jumps off the branch, continuing his search for the 2 earthrealmers.

Spiderman (in head): I better keep moving. Who knows what's happening with them right now.
