A/N: I apologise for any spelling mistakes I make.

3rd POV: Spidey spent several minutes running and swinging out of the flesh pits, avoiding guards, and sometimes getting into scuffles with guards. Whilst running away, he didn't exactly think about mileena waking up right after he ran, nor the magic sensors set up by either shang tsung or quan chi to alert anyone if there was an unauthorised access to the flesh pits or if someone was trying to escape it.

The wallcrawler sighed in relief as more guards passed by him whilst he hid in a dark corner of the room with the stealth mode of his suit active. Once the guards were far enough, he dropped down and tapped his spider symbol, the suit returning to its white and black look. He then swung away and began to look for another way out, only to continuously end up going through more hallways, with guards patrolling them.

Spiderman (in head): Oh, come on. Why is it so difficult to find a way out?

Spidey suddenly felt a familiar feeling in his head and relaxed slightly, knowing what it was and sending a telepathic call.

Spiderman: {Betsy, Ororo, Sonya? Can you hear me?}

Psylocke: {Peter?!}

Storm: Oh, thank goodness you're ok!}

Sonya: {where are you?}

Spiderman: {no clue (looks around) I'm in some kind of hallway, I've been running around trying to find a way out and have had no luck yet. Where are you?}

Spidey's spider sense went off, and he ducked as a tarkatan jumped from the shadows, trying to impale him with his blades. Pete smacked both his hands on the tarkatan's ears, leaving him discombobulated before he uppercutted the outworlder minion into the ceiling and firing a batch of webs at his opponent, leaving him stuck there and immobilised Spiderman looked around his surrounding area and saw no one else and paid attention to what his allies were saying to him whilst he keeps moving.

Psylocke: {currently looking for you.}

Storm: {We have a situation, Peter. The attack on the academy was a way to capture you, sonya, and a few students from the academy as a way to force us into a new tournament that is held now held in Outworld.}

Spiderman: {(surprised) I'm in Outworld?!}

(Omniverses)

Wonder Woman (JLU): I wonder what it looks like?

Flash (JLU): I bet it's some kind of desert, with a name like outworld, it's gotta be some kind wasteland.

Martian manhunter (JLU): names can be deceiving flash.

Batman (JLU): I doubt this one is, though.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Psylocke: {yep.}

Spiderman: {are you ok sonya?}

Sonya: Yeah, I'm fine, I got set free, but we've got a bit of a problem.}

Psylocke: {what?}

Sonya: {we ran into ermac, jax tried to fight him, but.....}

Spiderman: {but what?}

Sonya: {.....the damn bastard ripped off Jax's arms}

Spidey gasped.

(Omniverse)

As did everyone else. Those with missing limbs winced in sympathy. Losing a part of yourself was never something they got over easily, and yet some people still haven't. They could only offer their prayers to the sergeant of special forces and hope he isn't dead.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Spiderman: {please don't tell me he's dead.}

Sonya: {No! No, he's not, thank god. He's unconscious, Raiden managed to seal the wounds.}

Storm: {good, we can't lose anyone else. Where are you?}

Sonya: {some creepy ass beach, scarlet spider, raiden, johny, kung Lao and liu kang took off, they sensed some kind of disturbance and went to investigate.}

Spiderman: {ok, I'm gonna keep finding a way out of here. Once I see the outside, I'll try and give a description of where I am. Hopefully, you can use that to find me.}

Storm: {understood......Good luck, Spiderman.}

Spiderman: {you too.}

Psylocke: {.....Peter, we-}

Spidey quickly cut off the connection. He had a feeling what she was gonna say, and it was most likely that storm wanted to say the same thing as well, but he wanted to push that conversation as far back as possible.

Spiderman continued to look for an exit, and as he turned a corner, he was face to face with a familiar bodyguard to an edenian princess.

Jade: (surpised) Spiderman?!

Spiderman (in head): Oh crap.

Before the wallcrawler could utter a word, Jade grabbed him by the arm and started dragging him.

Jade: we need to leave!

Spiderman: Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. (Breaks away from her grip) No offence, Jade, cause you're hot and all, but I'm not going anywhere with you. In case you forgot, our 2 sides are enemies.

Jade: circumstances have changed that! Kitana has been taken.

Spiderman; (narrows eyes) by who?

Jade: by shao Khan.

Spiderman: Why?

Jade: Because he has no use of her. He's had the sorcerers create a clone of her.

Spiderman: I know, I've met her. She's kinda crazy too.

Jade: I tried to free kitana, but I didn't have time. She told me to locate the earthrealmers and get their help into stopping him.

Spiderman: Then you're in luck, I'm looking for my friends, I've just had contact with them, we just need to find a way out of this place and we'll have a better chance of finding them.

Jade: I know the way out, follow me.

Spiderman: Or you can point me in the direction and I swing us there?

Jade:.....that's a better idea.

Spiderman: Then let's not waste anymore time.

Jade wraps her arms around the friendly neighbourhood hero who could only internally sigh as he held the edenian close to him.

Spiderman (in head): This whole thing with me carrying attractive women is definitely becoming a trend.

The spider totem fired a Web to the nearest pillar and began to Web swing across the dimly lit halls. As he swung, he couldn't help but glance at the edenian bodyguard he was holding. Whilst he couldn't see the entirety of her face, the look in her eyes held sadness, anger, and betrayal.

It was a look that he was all too familiar with, for he had seen it on others and on himself whenever he looked at himself in the mirror.

(Omniverses)

MJ (616) stared blankly at the screen, showing her former lover staring at the Outworlder in what looked to be sympathy, a frown showing on her features. She knew what he was thinking and could only let out a small sigh. She'd thought that through his little adventure in that universe, he would've gotten over what happened between them, but it would seem that she was wrong in that regard. She didn't understand why he was so hung up about it. He was never that hung up about his other failed relationships. Sure, he was a bit saddened about them, but he bounced back right after. It was the same case with their previous breakups, so their recent split should make no difference. She ignored that very tiny voice in her head that said that she cheated on Peter with another man and gave up on him.

Romy stared in sympathy before glancing at her mother and sending a harsh glare at her before looking down at her lap, hands tightly clenched and tears forming in her eyes before she took a breath.

Paul: What's the matter, sweetie?

Romy looked up at her father and offered a fake smile.

Romy: Nothing, just the emotion of what's going on is getting to me a little.

Owen: You need anything, sis?

Romy sent a glance to her brother, a fake smile still plastered on her face.

Romy: No, I'm fine, thanks, Owen.

The father and son duo stare at romy before nodding and looking back at the screen.

Romy's fake smile disappeared, and she sent a discreet glare at all 3 of her family members. She then closed her eyes and took a deep breath before exhaling.

Romy (in head): Don't lose control. Stay focused. (Stares at the screen, more specifically Spiderman) Please come back alive.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Spiderman: (fires another Web) Hey, you alright?

Jade: I'm fine. (Motions with her head) head to the left and head straight down, and the exit will be in clear view.

Spidey followed her directions, and after a while, they reached a closed gate, and the spider totem kicked the doors open, and the edenian bodyguard and wallcrawler were now out of the flesh pits and confusing Hallways.

It was silent between the 2 as they wall through a forest with-

Spiderman (in head): Why do these trees have actual faces?! (Pauses) Why am I surprised? I know Groot.

After walking through the forest of creepy trees that look like they're hungry, the duo are now on a beach that's mostly filled with dead corpses, both rotten and fresh.

(Omniverses)

At this point, everyone was desensitised with all the gore and blood. They could only question what the fuck was wrong with this universe.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Spiderman (in head): Why, like at this point, that's the only question I can ask. Why are there corpses here, and why is there so many?

Spidey ignores the bodies and turns his attention back to Jade, who's stopped moving and is glancing at the sea. Whatever she was thinking about was weighing a lot in her mind. Spiderman approached her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

Spiderman: jade. (She looks at him) Are you sure you're alright?

Jade: (nods) Yes, I'm fine, Spiderman. Come, we must keep moving.

Jade goes to continue walking, but Spiderman gently grabs her arm, stopping and turning her to face him

Spiderman: Hey, something is clearly bothering you. I know we don't know each other well enough, but you can talk to me. Sometimes, it helps to get things of your chest. (Jade contemplates) I'm a good listener.

Jade stares at the masked lenses of Spiderman, and whilst she couldn't see his face, she could feel the sincerity and the want to help.

Jade: (sighs) very well. (Starts walking with Spiderman following closely behind) it all started after I returned from the tournament.....

(With kang)

The conqueror typed on a holographic screen. A while back, he made a few extra micro drones that followed people of interest, mostly as a way to provide backstory and, if need be, change the POV.

Kang: it looks like it's time for a flashback sequence.

(Mortal kombat universe)

(Flashback)

After the Outworld team returned and shao Khan accepted shang tsung's plan for a new tournament. Jade split off from the team and her friend to see her lover, general kotal. She traversed the halls and made it to the osh-tek's room. Just as she was about to open the door, she paused at the sound of a bed creaking, and....moans?

Jade (in head): he can't be doing....(shakes head) No, he wouldn't. Please don't let it be true.

Jade put her hand on the handle, quietly twisted it, and opened the door slightly, enough to see through the gap, and a silent gasp escaped her at what she was seeing.

For it was her lover general kotal, fucking another woman in their bed, not just any woman, but a certain kytinn.

(Omniverses)

Wonder Woman (JLU): (seethe) unfaithful fool!

Superman (JLU): You can't be serious!

Green lantern (JLU) felt a little sympathy for the edenian, remembering seeing hawkgirl kiss the thanagarian general when they were together, hawkgirl saw the look and reached out and placed a hand over his and John wordlessly took it and sent a smile her way. It was in the past, and they'd have time to talk about their issues.

Aunt may (616): ungrateful man.

Susan storm (616): (muttering) filthy prick.

Trish: dirty bastard.

Morrigan: Hmm, how disappointing.

Felicia (darkstalkers): (wrinkles her nose and looks away from the screen) ew.

MJ (616) felt like this was someone's way of saying that what kotal was doing to jade, was basically what she did to Peter, and she pointedly ignored it by turning her head away.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Jade wordlessly watched it happen for a moment before wrenching her eyes away and quietly closing the door and wordlessly walking away, sobs escaping her.

(Flashback end)

Jade: (Wipes tears from her eyes) I haven't told kitana for fear of the repercussions she would face from shao Khan if she was to ever attack kotal.

Spidey stared at Jade before placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. The edenian looked at him.

Spiderman: If he cheated on you, then he didn't deserve you, Jade. You loved him, and for him to just throw that away shows how little he cared and loved you. (Puts another hand on Jade's other shoulder) But you're a fighter, Jade, you will come out of this, stronger than ever with people you can trust at your side and who knows, maybe you'll find someone else who can treat you as a queen.

Jade: (chuckles before her tone becomes teasing) like you, for example?

Spiderman: (laughs a little before shaking his head) No, not me. You, and basically every other woman, can do better than me. I have too many problems going on with me.

(Omniverses)

Wonder Woman (JLU) (in head): I don't know about that. You're quite the charming character, Peter.

Black canary (YJ) (in head): (smiles a little) I'm sure I can help out with all those problems, I'm a psychiatrist, after all.

Morrigan (in head): I beg to differ my dear spider.

Felicia (darkstalkers) (in head): I doubt that best buddy.

Chun Li (in head): I'm sure anyone would be lucky to have ya Pete..... (blushes slightly) I would.

Cammy (in head): I'm sure if we got to know each other, I'd be able to help you, and if it led somewhere, (smirks a little) then thats an added bonus.

Trish (in head): Come on, pete, stop thinking so low of yourself. I thought me and morrigan took care of that. You're a hot guy that any woman would want.

Many more women, either vocally or mentally, repeated similar phrases.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Jade noticed how his tone of voice shifted and how he slightly moved his head to the side.

Jade:....did you go through the same pain?

Spiderman:.....(sighs) Yeah. There was this woman I was deeply in love with. She was trapped in another world, and I tried to find a way to her by any means necessary. I burned a lot of bridges with some friends and allies, some were already burning but that's another matter. In the end, I managed to find a way to where she was, and when I got there, she was married to another man and had children with him. Being told that she gave up on me and believed I wouldn't come for her hurt me more than she could possibly imagine.

Jade stared in silence at the hero of Earth 616 before placing a hand on his cheek and turning him to face her.

Jade: If she cheated on you, then she didn't deserve you spiderman.

Jade then reached for the lower part of his mask and lifted it up slightly to reveal the lower half of his face before removing her own and placing a lingering kiss on his cheek before pulling his mask back down and hers back up. The edenian then embraced him and whispered in his ear.

Jade: (whispers) Thank you, Spiderman, for your soothing words.

Spiderman: (hesitantly returns the hug) You're welcome, Jade, and like I said, you'll find someone who'll treat you right. You just have to look.

Jade (in head): (tightens embrace slightly) Then I don't have to look too far, for I believe I have found him already.

???: how touching.

The edenian and spider totem break away from their embrace to see the approaching form of Tanya, soon followed by mileena teleporting in.

Mileena: others pursue, I find. (Looks at Spiderman) You're a naughty boy for running away, I will have to teach you a lesson~~

Spiderman (in head): (shivers) I'm scared and slightly aroused............ I'm slightly scaroused.

(Omniverses)

Morrigan giggled. She remembered Peter feeling the same way when they had one of their escapades. Only that time, she made it interesting by adding a third person to the party.

Morrigan: (sighs) the memories.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Mileena and Tanya walk towards the duo.

Tanya: I suggest you come with us.

Mileena: Yes! You must return with us! (Twirls around) There is to be a celebration for my sister!

Spiderman: (mutters) that doesn't sound good.

Jade: (mutters) no it does not.

Mileena: she's going away~~~~

Mileena pulls out 2 sais whilst Tanya grabs a naginata and gives it a spin before pointing it at her opponents. Jade and spiderman glance at eachother.

Spiderman: ladies first.

Jade: (smirks) such a gentleman. (Grabs her bo staff) I will take Tanya. I trust you can handle mileena?

Spiderman: I can try.

Spiderman approaches the clone whilst Jade stands in front of her fellow edenian.

Spiderman: so mileena, any chance you can let us pass?

Mileena: Oh, my apologies dear~~ but I cannot allow you to leave, I need you~~ come, let us play~~

Spiderman: (sighs and mutters) worth a shot. (Out loud) alright then, you wanna play? (Gets into a fighting stance) then play!!!

And with that, the 2 sides clash.

A/N: alright, another chapter out, not much to say on this other than I hoped you enjoyed. For those who are questioning why I went down the whole kotal cheating on Jade route with a certain kytinn, it's because of an interaction between kotal Khan and devorah in MK11 where devorah asked if Jade knew about her and kotal and he kind of told her to keep quiet. I don't know if it was ever confirmed if they screwed but that little interaction was open to interpretation so I took it down that route.
