A/N: I apologise for any spelling mistakes I make.

3rd POV: across the different omniverses, people familiar with anansi gasped in surpise and joy whilst others growled in hate and envy.

Bast (616), konshu (616), zarathos (616), pheonix (616), hyppolita (JLU), infinity (616) and many more who were friends of anansi stared at the still image of the spider god in his original form.

Bast (616) laughed before raising her arms up in the air, happy tears cascading down her face.

Bast: (616): MY FRIEND!!! YOU ARE TRULY ALIVE!!! (continues to laugh before abruptly stopping and glaring at the screen) I'm gonna kick your sorry, little ass when you return to our universe, or maybe I'll find a way to come to you.

Konshu (616) hummed in amusement at seeing his old (annoying) friend.

Konshu (616): So, you are truly alive, anansi. (Looks towards the sky and the beyond) though I have no doubt that with your reveal, your enemies will come for you when you return, which is why I will be by your side when the time comes.

Zarathos (616) let out a 'HA' at seeing the spider god and his flaming skull seemingly burning brighter for a moment.

Zarathos (616): I should've expected you'd still be alive and kicking (seemingly smirking), and I will gladly watch bast kick your ass for dying on us the first time you cheeky bastard.

Pheonix (616) was within Jean Grey's mindscape, jumping for joy and screaming her fiery head off.

Pheonix (616): ANANSI!!! MY LOVE YOU LIVE!!! WHEN YOU RETURN I'LL NEVER LET YOU GO!!!

Hyppolita chuckled, seeing the image of her friend.

Hyppolita (JLU): (smiles softly with her eyes closed) I'm glad that you're still amongst the living, my friend. (Sighs) though I worry about certain beings who will not take to you being alive well and will hunt you down.

Infinity (616) smiled, and her eyes held mirth, relief, and happiness at seeing a very, very old friend being confirmed alive.

Infinity (616): How long has it been since we last spoke anansi? Since we explored the infinite cosmos together? When you do return back to the confines of our universe, I look forward to reuniting with you, my friend.

Meanwhile, those that hated the spider god...

Darkseid (JLD): (eyes glow) The Web will be mine spider god, and you will be a name lost to history for eternity.

Trigon (JLD): (growls) you.....you will pay for humiliating me!!! I will enjoy tearing your head from your body and keeping it as a trophy, and your Web of life will be mine!!!!

Mephisto (616): (narrows eyes) hmm, I will have to plan this our carefully. (Looks to the side to see a figure standing in the shadows watching the screen in silence and chuckles). Perhaps I will have to act sooner than expected once anansi returns to our universe.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Spiderman had a stare off with anansi and the other. Neither said anything to the other, and the warriors that accompanied the Web slinger said nothing as they could feel the power emanating from the 2 beings.

Other: (looks at Scarlet Spider) Well, if it isn't my old host.

Scarlet Spider: How's it going?

If it could, the other would shrug.

Other: it's a mixed bag, at least I didn't have to ressurect you unlike a certain someone.

Spiderman: oh screw off.

Anansi: it's not like we're asking to repeatedly get killed. Other.

Other: (scoffs) You could've fooled me.

Anansi sighs before bringing his focus back to his reincarnation.

Anansi: Let's bring the focus back to you coming here, Peter (looks at the others) and bringing guests as well (looks back at Spiderman). I thought you'd prefer to keep this to yourself and Scarlet Spider and the other totems.

Spiderman: Believe me, if I could, I'd keep it that way, but these ladies can be quite persistent when they wanna be. I mean, on the plus side, kang can't come into my mindscape, so at least this is a private affair.

The other and anansi glance at each other in uncertainty.

(Omniverses)

Everyone stayed quiet, unable to say anything about what Spiderman said.

Chun Li: (rubs her arm) Oh boy.

Cammy: How do you think he'll react?

Chun Li: ummmm.....loudly?

Dante let's out a cough.

Morrigan: How're they gonna break it to him?

Flash (JLU) rubs the back of his head.

Wonder Woman (JLU) tucks some hair behind her ear.

Superman sucks in air through his teeth.

Madame web (616): Oh, that's not good.

Spider UK: Glad I'm not the one telling him.

Spider Storm: Father is gonna be piiiiiiissssseeeeedddd~~~

Spiderman 2099 (EOT): Sorry, Parker, but that's far from the truth.

(Mortal kombat)

Spiderman picked up on their look and narrowed his eyes.

Spiderman: What's with the look you 2 are sharing?

Anansi: we didn't share a look.

Spiderman: Yes, you did.

Anansi: No w-

Other: Oh, for the love of everything. This whole thing is being viewed! Even this conversation!

Spiderman stiffened and stared at the both of them whilst Scarlet Spider massaged his head, already feeling a migraine.

Spiderman:.................fffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkkkkk.

(Omniverse)

Spiderwoman (616): Huh.

Silk (616): What?

Spiderwoman (616): I didn't think he would have such a..... tame reaction.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Spiderman: You know what, I think I'll deal with that whole can of worm later. Right now, I want to focus on the main issue I've been having, mainly to do with you 2 constantly arguing inside my head, you (points at the other) making me give in to my spider side and your (points to anansi) power wrecking havoc with my body.

Other: (scoffs) If anything, I did you a favour, you would have lost the fight.

Spiderman: (narrows eyes) I would've killed ben.

Other: and he would've done the same to you. I did it to help you.

Spiderman: (slow claps) Well, congratulations for doing something helpful for me.

Other: (growls) In case you forgot, I brought you back to life at one point.

Scarlet spider: Didn't you also try and impregnate him?

Storm/psylocke/sonya Blade: Excuse me?!/I'm sorry, what?!/it tried to what?!

(Omniverses)

The following reactions occurred.

Susan storm (616), who was sipping some water, spat it out.

Teresa Parker choked on her own spit.

Aunt may (616) stared blankly at the screen, her mind temporarily shutting down.

Spider Storm/spider UK: what the fuck did it try and do?!

White tiger (ultimate) dropped her glass.

Nova (ultimate) stared slack jawed.

Power man (ultimate): Sweet Christmas!!!

Scarlet spider (ultimate): At least it was you and not me.

Spiderman (ultimate): the heck, Ben?!

Miles (ultimate): (whispers) Oh my god.

Mj (ultimate): I have no words.

Gwen, Liz, and MJ (spectacular) stared at Peter (spectacular) waiting for him to say something, but the spider totem was just frozen at what he heard.

The same could be said in the Parker household in the TAS universe, the residents staring at their universes Peter Parker whose face was blank.

Flash (JLU) coughed furiously.

Batman (JLU) just stared at the screen.

Superman (JLU) scratched the back of his head.

Green lantern (JLU): Judas Priest!!!

Wonder Woman (JLU): (eyes wide) by the gods!!!

Hawkgirl (JLU): How does that even work?

The other members of the league stared at their fellow league member who just shrugged in response.

Hawkgirl (JLU): What? I can't be the only one curious about it.

Chun Li:......did I hear that right?

Cammy:.......yes, yes you did.

Chun Li:....ok good, just making sure.

Chris redfield: (quietly) what the fuck?

Jill Valentine: (shivers) I don't need that image.

Dante: I did not need to hear that.

Trish: I can't get the image out of my head now.

Morrigan: (surpised) Oh my, wonder what the story behind that is?

Felicia (darkstalkers): WHAT?!?!

(Mortal kombat universe)

Spiderman glared at his brother, who just shrugged at the glare.

Other: (sighs) Can we not bring that up?

Spiderman: agreed.

Psylocke: but-

Spiderman: Moving on! (Turns to the other) Look, the next time I'm in deep and I mean deep trouble, I will go all feral on anyone face, but on MY terms and don't try and use my emotional state as a way for me to give in again.

Other: (scoffs) please, you would reject the very thing you are even if you're close to death.

Spiderman/anansi: Then that is my/his decision.

The Other stares at the spider god and his reincarnation before sighing in annoyance.

Other: very well, but let the record show that I stand firmly against this.

Spiderman: I'll keep that in mind. (Turns to anansi) Now then, why does your power keep causing me pain?

Anansi stared at his reincarnation in pity and a little sadness whilst the Other stayed quiet.

Anansi: it's because you're dying Peter.

Scarlet Spider's breath hitched whilst the 3 women showed various degrees of shock.

(Omniverses)

The same could be said for the many people across the omniverses.

Aunt May (616) and Teresa took the news the hardest, their nephew/brother was dying? How? They didn't want him to die. They couldn't except the fact. He'd been beaten, broken, and suffered almost every time he put on the mask and could never get a happy ending, and now this? It was too much for either of them.

Susan Storm (616) held her children close to her as she stated at the screen teary-eyed. Her best friend dying? No, it wasn't happening. She can't accept it.

Invisible woman (616) (in head): It's not fucking fair!!!!

Valeria and Franklin sobbed into their mother's side, they didn't want their father killed. That's right, the kids have stopped trying to see him as their uncle and now see him for the man who always cared for them, played games with them, taught them, helped them gave them the love that they should have got from their actual father. Valeria and Franklin, through the tears in their eyes, locked gazes with each other and mentally came to a conclusion. Whatever was killing their dad, they would find a way to stop it, one way or another.

Bast (616), konshu (616), and zarathos (616) stared at the screens, alarmed at the news. They just found out that their friend is alive, and now he's dying. They just got him back, and they'd be dammed if they lose him again.

Pheonix (616): What?! No!!! You can't die!!! I won't let you!!!!

Romy was a different story. She glanced at her mother, who seemed to stiffen at the news, and then stared at her lap. Romy was in turmoil as she stared at the image of Spiderman, her hands twitching at random moments, sometimes clenching into fists.

Romy (in head): No, he can't die. He won't die. How do you know?! Because he's Spiderman!! That's not always an answer!!! Yes, it is!!! You're insufferable sometimes!!! So are you!!! He's dying, and you think that "he's Spiderman" is an answer to the problem! It is because no matter what happens, he always gets up because he's Spiderman, the best hero in the entire omniverse! You're.....not wrong.

Romy's hands stopped twitching and clenching into fists and leaning back in her seat, seemingly calming down from whatever mental turmoil she was dealing with.

Romy (in head): he can't die......we need to tell him. He needs to know.

Many more people from across the omniverses, those that knew Spiderman/anansi stared at the screen, refusing to believe they were dying or were sad at the news and wished they could go to where the spider totem is and find a way to help the airachnid.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Spiderman ignored his shocked companions and stared at anansi in the eyes, and asked the 1 question on his mind.

Spiderman: How?

Other: it's because you're not complete.

Spiderman tilted his head at the question, but it was Ororo who asked what was on his mind.

Storm: not complete?

Anansi: (nods) Yes.

Sonya Blade: How is he not complete?

Anansi stretched his left hand out before drawing a straight line in front of him and a gold spider Web following the path.

Anansi: Peter is a what is called a spider totem, and he is a part of something of great importance along with many others in our omniverse. However, Peter is no ordinary totem, for he is the only one capable of weilding my power, which you have seen him use momentarily. (Frowns) normally, it wouldn't be able to cause him pain, but it's because he's not complete that it's now destroying him.

Scarlet Spider: Thanks for telling the class that little plot point. Now tell us how he is not complete.

Anansi rolled his eyes behind his mask before grabbing two points of the Web in front of him and then pulling it upwards. The Web then breaks a part and reforms into 2 mirrors, which then behan to show certain points in spidermans life.

Anansi: it was during these 2 points. The 1st is when you died in otto's body.

Anansi: And the 2nd being when morlun killed you.

(Omniverses)

Seeing the set of memories and what followed after it sent a lot of shock and anger.

It was understandable for the Avengers to check if it was a shape-shifter impersonating spiderman, but to not check his mind annoyed them. However, when they saw how almost all of the heroes treated Spiderman when he regained, his body angered them greatly.

Superman (JLU): Are you kidding me?!

Wonder Woman (JLU): disgusting.

Dante: (look of disbelief) What the hell?!

Morrigan: fools, the lot of them!

Teresa: ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!

Johny Storm (616): (shocked) he....he was telling the truth?

Thor (616): I knew the man of spiders wasn't himself!!!!

Aunt may (616): (hands to mouth) Oh, Peter....

Ryu: (shakes head in disappointment) How cruel.

Hope summers: I knew it!!! I was right!!!

Spider UK: (clenches fist) fucking bastards.

Spider Storm: (lightning dancing across her fingers) I'll make them pay.

Spiderman 2099 (EOT): How goddamn stupid are they?

Many more sparks of outrage occurred, but when it came to the memories of Spiderman fighting morlun, many admired how, despite his tired state, his injuries and how scared he was, he still fought with everything he had.

But it all changed for the worst.

Watching as morlun gauge Spiderman's eye and eat it in front of him made many stare horrified shock and most either almost or did puke at the gory scene, and many flinched at the slaughter of spiderman and they either mentally or vocally begged for it to stop and to leave spiderman alone and when they finally saw the broken and dead body of spiderman, many close to the wallcrawler silently cried, cursed at morlun and wishing they were there to provide aid to him.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Psylocke, Storm, and Sonya Blade stared in muted shock at the memories. What they were witnessing was beyond cruel.

Psylocke: Did the Avengers not think of using a device to check a person's mind or have a telepath search?!

Spiderman merely says nothing, but the silence was telling. Kaine stared at his brother before placing a hand on his template's shoulder, who tensed before relaxing. Spiderman took a breath and stared at the spider god.

Spiderman: So those 2 deaths are the reason I'm not whole?

Other: not exactly. You've died on numerous occasions in the past and have come back whole, but the reason these 2 are important is because of the 3rd party involved.

Spiderman narrowed his eyes, trying to think who the 3rd party could be before suddenly coming to one possible conclusion and looking at anansi for confirmation who nodded.

Anansi: That's right, Peter, the 3rd party was mephisto.

(Omniverses)

Mephisto grunts. He'd done well to keep his little actions hidden, but it seems that wasn't the case.

Mephisto: No matter, I will still win.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Spiderman: What the hell did he do in those 2 scenarios?

Anansi: he fears us Peter and any children you have. He fears that you will defeat him when he attempts to control the world. Taking away your daughter was a way to stop it, but when you died in those 2 occasions, he found the opportunity to fracture your soul.

Peter's hand went to his chest, a shiver going down his spine. Anansi continues to speak.

Anansi: Fracturing your soul gave him the opportunity to neutralise your chance of stopping him, and without those missing pieces, you're practically a body that's being barely held together because your memories fused to recreate your persona.

Other: and your continuous use of anansi's power without a complete soul is beginning the process of shattering you, and soon you'll be nothing a husk.

No one said anything.

(Omniverses)

The same could be said for everyone else. Spiderman was on a timer because of a demon claiming portions of Spiderman's soul and doing who knows what with it, and it didn't sit well with those close to Spiderman.

(Mortal kombat universe)

Spiderman stared at the floor, unresponsive after hearing those words.

Spiderman: (mutters) just a body with a bunch of memories of a dead man keeping me alive, huh? (Chuckles a little before sighing) fuck my life.

After a moment, Sonya Blade spoke up.

Sonya Blade: So what, that's it? Is there no way to fix the damage?

Anansi: Unless we find a way to reclaim the missing portions of Peter's soul from mephisto's domain, there is nothing that can be done.

Psylocke: You said that Spiderman is practically memories fused to recreate his persona, and that's the only thing keeping him alive. What if a telepath were to strengthen the bonds of the memories to keep the persona alive and by extension (points to Spiderman) Peter alive?

The Other and the Spider god glance at each other.

Anansi: it....could work, but there's no way of fully knowing it can-PSYLOCKE WAIT!!!!

The British telepath wasted no time and rushed to an unresponsive spiderman and put her hands on each side of the spider's head, and began using her powers to try and fix whatever damage she can find.

But she could not prepare for whatever followed.

The area around them began to change, the golden spider webs changed to a purple, and began to glitch eratically and the X woman felt searing pain shoot into her mind making both her and spiderman shout out in pain.

Storm: NO!!!

Storm placed a hand on psylocke's shoulder to try and pull her away but only going through the same problem as her mind was hit with the same pain. The web's suddenly got electrified, and multiple lightning bolts were crashing into the ground and gusts wind pushing the others away.

The 2 x women, through the painful experience, got glimpses of something, 2 lives that they both lived and didn't live, all flying by them in a flash.

Spiderman holding their hand.

Peter Parker in a nice suit on one knee, a wedding ring presented to them.

Dancing to a slow song.

Their honeymoon.

The good.

The bad.

And finally....

Psylocke and storm holding their respective child in their arms.

Psylocke/Storm: Hello Billy/Aurora.

Anansi, seeing the area around them, was slowly breaking apart did the only thing he could think of. He opened his right hand and a spider Web appeared and with a yell, slammed his hand into the ground and everything exploded in a blinding light.

(Real world)

Spiderman awoke with a gasp followed by everyone else. The wallcrawler put a hand to the side of his head, not feeling any different than before entering his own head he then turned to look at his fellow awoken warriors, more specifically, betsy and Ororo, he knew that they saw something through his connection to the web of life when psylocke tried to strengthen the bond of his memories and knew that there was gonna be a talk about what was seen.

Before anyone could say or do anything, an explosion erupted from afar and the sounds of kombat and screams echoed.

Spiderman (in head): Oh look, literally anything else. (Stands up and rolls his shoulders and neck) I could use the distraction.

The airachnid hero looked behind him and saw his clone, the 2 X women and Special Forces standing up and at the ready. Spidey turned back around and led his small team to where the chaos was.

Spiderman (in head): I should thank whoever is causing this chaos for temporarily preventing me discussing alternate earths and potential future children of mine.

A/N: Right, I hope you all enjoyed, I apologise if somethings don't make sense or if it's not explained properly, I tried to put what I thought into words and it might've not come out properly.

A/N: on another note, I've heard that in a recent spiderman comic, spidey was stabbed with a spear that contained the madness of Norman osborn and its made him angry and resentful and getting revenge on the people that wronged him, including MJ and Paul. I'm actually ok with this because I personally feel like that people that screwed him over never got any karma and it's interesting to see spiderman this way. We've only ever got glimpses of this version of Spiderman when he was bonded with venom, wore the black suit in civil war and spider punisher. I also manage to see an image of what looks like spiderman (in hid black suit) accusing MJ of betraying him and the 2 look like they're about to fight. I swear to god if they make MJ when the fight against a man who's been a hero since he was teen, fought alongside and against vigilantes, gods, super soldiers aliens, etc. I'm gonna be passed because there's no way she should be able to bloody win.
