Dom is being released early for good behavior before he calls Domonique to come get him but asks her not to tell the others.

"So, what's already going on that you didn't want me telling the others?" Domonique asks as she drives away from the prison.

"Jakob killed dad," Dom answers her, causing Domonique to hit the breaks before quickly pulling over to the side of the road.

"What are you saying, Dom? That's our little brother you are accusing," Domonique says as she looks over at her twin in disbelief.

"Dad had been talking about a misfire the whole race," Dom explains which causes Domonique to nod in agreement because she remembers that. "Jakob was the last one under the hood."

"No," Domonique responds in disbelief as it all makes sense. "We have to talk to him."

"No. Just get me a car," Dom says already having a plan in mind. Domonique looks at Dom worriedly before taking Dom to Buddy's, who has a Charger saved for him.

Jesse, Vince, Letty, Eliza, and Mia look up in shock as Dom pulls up beside Domonique at a street race later that night.

"Hey," Eliza says as she makes her way over to Dom before shoving him against his car. "You had another eight months."

"Good behavior," Dom tells her with a shrug before she pulls him into a kiss.

"Oh, Dom," Mia says as he makes his way over to her, pulling his little sister into a hug. "You didn't call. I would have picked you up."

"I called Moni but I'm here now," Dom says with a smile as they pull apart before Mia looks at Domonique with a raised eyebrow since she did not mention picking Dom up.

"Welcome home, brother," Vince says as he and Dom share a quick hug.

"Come here, bro," Jesse says excitedly as he and Dom hug while he pats Dom's back.

The crowd begins to cheer as Jakob gets out of his car, soaking in the cheers from the crowd before he wraps an arm around Karlotta, Vince's sister, who had rode with him.

"Who wants next? I said, who wants next?!" Jakob questions as he looks around at all of the racers.

"I got next," Dom announces as he looks over at his brother.

"Dom," Jakob says as he looks at his brother in shock while Mia looks up at Dom confused. "Well, when'd you get out, man?"

"I said I got next," Dom says as he walks closer to his brother while Karlotta goes to stand with her brother and Letty.

"Come on, Dom. You don't want to race me in Buddy's old Charger," Jakob responds as he steps forward while motioning to Dom's car. "No, it won't even be close." Jakob points over at his car. "My mustang? With all the mods that I put in it?"

"Car don't make the driver," Domonique says as she slightly rolls her eyes while Dom walks over to their brother. "You know that."

"Here's how this goes," Dom says while speaking in a whisper so that only Jakob will hear. "You win... you come back home. You lose... you keep driving, you don't stop, you don't ever come back. Ever."

"What do you mean, Dom?" Jakob asks as he looks at his brother confused.

"I know what you did," Dom answers him, causing Jakob to frown. "The day we lost him, Dad kept talking about a misfire. Remember? You were the last one under his hood that day. A minute later, he was gone." Jakob's face turns to one of shock. "Tell me why you killed Dad." Jakob thickly swallows as he glances over at Domonique because he doesn't know what to say. "Now let's race."

An all clear of cops is given as Dom and Jakob move their cars to the on-ramp that leads to the bridge where they will be racing. Karlotta looks at the two cars worriedly as she and Eliza walk between them with a flashlight in hand.

"Ready?" Karlotta asks as she looks between the two cars before Eliza moves the flashlight to rest on her shoulder. "Set." Each brother revs their engine before Eliza turns the flashlight on. "Go."

Jakob and Dom both take off in wheelies before Dom takes the lead. Jakob quickly accelerates, getting beside Dom as they move onto the bridge. Jakob panics as he drives while Dom is calm behind the wheel of his car.

Jakob glances over at Dom, who twists the knob on his NOS bottle to get it ready. Jakob flips a switch to get his NOS ready as they near the end of the bridge where a crowd is waiting. Jesse runs across, spray painting a finish line as the crowd clears out of the way. Dom starts to get in front of Jakob, causing Jakob to hit his NOS before speeding ahead of Dom.

"Too soon," Dom says as Jakob has trouble controlling his car because of the new speed. Dom hits his NOS before speeding in front of Jakob.

"No!" Jakob yells as Dom crosses the finish line before him. Dom comes to a stop while Jakob continues to drive, causing tears to form in Mia's eyes as Domonique pulls her into a hug while Letty hugs Karlotta.

CALIFORNIA

Domonique pulls up beside the ran down racetrack where their dad used to race before making her way over to the open garage beside it. Domonique hears a baseball game being announced on the radio as she looks around the garage, causing a small smile to grace her face.

"Place still looks the same," Domonique says as she looks over at Buddy, who is working on a truck.

"Just like your dad left it," Buddy replies as he glances over at Domonique.

"I'm looking for Jakob," Domonique says as she fully turns to look at Buddy.

"Can't help you," Buddy responds as he shakes his head.

"I know you took Jakob in after our father died," Domonique explains as she continues to look at Buddy, knowing that he would know what Jakob is up to.

"The worst thing you can do to a Toretto is take away their family," Buddy says with a slight glare as he looks up at Domonique, who looks down because she knows that it's true. "That's what Dom did to Jakob. You've both got people who love you, count on you, care for you. He ain't got no one besides Karlotta. You get in his way, this ain't gonna end until one of you are in the ground."

"I know you did the best you could, Buddy," Domonique says with a small sigh as she shakes her head. "I appreciate that because you are right. I'm the oldest and I should have never let Dom handle things the way he did."

"I know you tried your best, Moni," Buddy admits with a nod of his head. "A lot was put on all of you when your father passed."

"We both know he's about to cause a lot of hurt," Domonique changes the subject back to Jakob before Buddy sighs with a small nod, setting his tool down while wiping his hands on a rag.

"I did my best to take care of Jakob. But I'm no Jack Toretto," Buddy explains as he grabs two Coronas, opening them before handing one to Domonique. "You've got to make peace with the past if you..." Buddy sighs as he sits his beer down. "If you want hope for the future. He's in London. That's all I know." Domonique sets her beer down before going to leave. "Moni." Domonique stops as Buddy stands up. "I hope you find your peace." Buddy takes a drink of his beer.

"Dom thinks the chance for peace died that day on the track," Domonique tells him with a sigh. "That's why I am handling this without him. I want peace for my family."
