A Kiss in the Woods

Snap, Crack

While walking in the Wood,

I heard a gentle humming

And I knew it wasn't good...

.

The wind began to whistle

The trees began to dance

I wanted most to run away

But I didn't stand a chance

.

I felt that familiar chill

Trickling down my spine

"There is nowhere to hide" she said

"All that's yours is mine"!

.

Then at once

It all went black

I couldn't move forward

I couldn't go back

.

I fumbled in the darkness

And ran into a tree,

The branches wrapped around my neck

Until I couldn't breath

.

"You don't deserve to be here"

I heard the old lady hiss,

"But maybe I will let you stay-

If you give me a little kiss"

.

She moved her face toward me

It was gnarled and smelled of death

I turned my face the other way

And tried to hold my breath

.

I heard the Old Lady laughing

As I let out a silent scream.

The Thunder woke me in my bed,

But was it just a dream?
