"HOLY FUDGE CAKES!" I gasp while watching the Lazarus Effect trailer on Jack G's phone. "This looks horrifying!"

"Duh," Jack G smirks. "It'll be fun!"

"There are tons of pop out parts and it'll especially scare you half to death when-" Carter starts to say but Shawn elbows him and then puts his arm around me.

"Stop trying to scare Lex," Shawn scolds before turning towards me. "Just ignore him."

"I already was," I giggle, causing Carter to cross his arms and roll his eyes.

When our car pulls up to the theater, we all pile out and then sprint into the building.

"How many tickets?" the lady at the register asks. We answer her and then pay and accept our tickets.

"We should do one soda/popcorn for every two people," Cameron suggests.

"Looks like you're stuck with someone else because I have Shea," Nash smirks as Cameron glares at him.

"You're ditching me!" he pouts. "This isn't fair!"

"Just share with Matt or something," Nash shrugs. "Sorry, dude."

"Okay, whatever, but Shawn and I'll share," I speak up.

"Alright, let's go," Shawn agrees. "We'll meet you guys in the theater room we're in. Whoever gets there first though needs to save everyone seats."

He grabs my hand and then we walk over to the counter to get some food.

"What do you want, Lex? My treat," Shawn smiles.

"Are you sure?" I ask and he nods. "Okay, can I have some skittles?"

He agrees and then turns towards the worker at the counter. "Can we please have one large popcorn, two skittles, and a soda?"

When the worker hands us our stuff, I take the cup. "What kind of soda do you want me to fill our drink up with?"

"Hmm," Shawn thinks for a moment. "Let's just keep it simple and get Coke."

I nod and then fill up our cup. By the time it's filled up, Shawn is holding our food and we're ready to go.

"Ready?" he asks as we start walking to the theater room.

"Honestly, no not really. But maybe I am. I don't know," I laugh. "Maybe the movie won't be too scary."

"If it is, I'm right next to you," Shawn winks.

We walk into the room and see that it's pretty dark. Looking around, I finally see everyone in the back row. Previews for the movies just started.

I race up there and then move down so then Shawn can sit between me and Matt. That leaves me sitting by some stranger.

"Excuse me, but do you have any extra napkins?" the guy asks. He has blonde hair and bright blue eyes. He's very attractive.

"Yeah," I smile while handing him a few.

"Thanks," he responds while winking at me. "So, what's your name? I'm Liam. "

"Lexie," I explain and shake his hand which was extended.

"So you come here often?" Liam chuckles.

Out of the corner of my eye I can see Shawn immediately tense up.

"Not really. Everything is super pricey," I remind him. "I'd rather stay at home and watch a movie on Netflix and eat candy that I got from the dollar store. But it is fun to go to the movies every once in a while."

"That makes sense," Liam agrees.

"Hey, I think I left my wallet downstairs. Will you come with me to go get it?" Shawn interrupts, drawing my attention back to him.

"Yeah," I nod before leaving the room with him. "Where do you think you left it?"

"I think it might be near where we bought our goodies," he suggests.

We look around and after five minutes we still hadn't found anything.

"Are you sure you left your wallet her?" I question him.

"I think so," he frowns before putting his hands in his pockets. "Oh, wait, I found it! It's in my pocket!"

"Shawn, are you okay?" I say to him, starting to get worried. He's acting so strange.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask?"

"You're just acting... Different," I explain.

"I'm fine," he promises while grabbing my hand and lacing our fingers together. "Let's go back now."

"Alright," I sigh while walking up all the steps again.

"Gosh this is a work out," I joke.

"Not really, you're just really lazy," Shawn chuckles.

"True," I laugh.

We go back to our seats and then start talking to everyone.

"Now that Cash can't be possible, what are you going to do Cameron?" Matt asks. "You can't jump into Nash's arms when you're scared or-"

"Shut up," Cameron grumbles. "Mash is real now."

"Oh lala," Matt smirks while acting like he's flipping his hair. "Dang, you move on fast."

"The fact that this is an actual conversation right now is making this really weird," I laugh. "Cameron, don't lie, you don't like Matt. Nash is your one and only."

"I know," he sighs while dramatically putting his hand over his heart. "I could never move on."

"This is very uncomfortable for me," Nash jokes and we all burst out in laughter.

"Me too. He's all over my man," Shea jokingly complains. "Maybe it's just Nash's bright blue eyes or his great personality or-"

"STOP RUBBING IT IN!" Cameron pouts. "Okay I'm leaving now, bye."

He stands up and walks halfway down the stairs before walking back up. "I forgot to grab my cup."

I grab his empty cup and hand it to him. Cameron takes it and then struts downstairs.

"Hey, Lexie, are all your friends like that?" Liam asks, laughing. I didn't know that he was paying attention to our whole conversation.

"Sadly," I joke. "But trust me, it makes life very interesting."

"That sounds accurate," he agrees. "Hey, could I possibly get your numb-"

"Hey, Lex, the movie is starting," Shawn butts in.

"Sweet," I grin. "I'm honestly really excited.

"Do you like scary movies?" Liam questions me.

"Not really," I blush. "They can be really scary. But I'm going to try to get through this movie and maybe I'll like it."

"And I'm right here for you," Shawn and Liam say in unison. Okay, that was really weird.

"Thanks?" I try to thank them but it sounds more like a question.

The room gets really dark and then the screen gets bigger. The little video of the soda getting poured into the cup shows up and then the person drinks all the soda. (A/N: I don't know how to explain this lol but they do a little video like that at Carmike all the time)

"That's my favorite part of going to the theater," I whisper over to Shawn.

"I like that part too," he smiles back.

The movie starts playing and so far the beginning is great! It's not too scary. They've brought a dog back to life but that's not too horrifying.

But then the movie starts to get really creepy. I move over closer to Shawn and he puts his arm around me.
A few times during the movie, the main character's eyes went black. Everytime that happened I would jump, but Shawn was always there to laugh at me and then help reassure me that the movie isn't real.

I continue to watch the movie and then I feel someone grab my hand. That person wasn't Shawn- it was Liam.

Shawn notices and then 'accidentally' bumps our cup of soda and then it spills all over the ground, luckily I only got a little bit on my jeans.

"What the crap was the for?!" I whisper yell at him before getting up and walking out of the theater room. I hear Shawn a few steps behind me.

I go to the bathroom and try to dry the soda that's on my pants. Luckily I'm wearing black skinny jeans so it's not too noticeable.

I walk out and I see Shawn pacing back and forth outside of the bathrooms. He sees that I'm here and then walks up to me. "Lexie, I am really sorry about that."

"What was that even for?" I retort. "What did I do?"

"You didn't do anything. It's just that, um, that one dude was flirting with you," he blushes while looking at the ground. "And I didn't like it."

"Did you notice that I wasn't flirting back?" I ask him. "I was being friendly and was still talking to him. I wasn't leading him on. I don't like like him at all, even though he was a little cute."

"But he obviously liked you..." Shawn trails off.

I take both of his hands and then look up at him. "I like you, Shawn, and only you. And as soon as we're done with the record deal, we'll be back together. We just have to hold on for a little while more. Okay?"

"Okay," he agrees. "But one more thing."

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Can I kiss you now?"

I grin before we both lean in and our lips touch. When we pull away, Shawn bites his lip. "Do you want to go back now?"

"Yeah," I agree. "Do you want to sit by Liam?"

"Speak of the devil," he rolls his eyes as Liam walks into the room. He's getting a refill on his drink. "And yeah, I'll sit by him so he stops hitting on my girl."

I giggle at Shawn's reaction and then we start walking back to where the movie is.

I sit in between Shawn and Matt- we only missed about ten minutes of the movie, but Matt quickly filled us in on what we missed.

I lean into Shawn's arms and continue to watch the movie. Even though everything was a mess (literally) at the start, everything turned out just fine.
