CHAPTER 14

A week has passed since I met the Adarlan siblings. The doctor visited me everyday throughout the whole week, and it turns out that my fake amnesia is getting better somehow. Probably because I somehow grew accustomed to this aristocratic life. The duke was happy by the news but Orion and Kaven both had indifferent expressions.

Though, after the incident that happened between me and Orion neither one of us talked to each other much. Orion joined me on my evening tea time everyday but didn't say a word. He reads a few academic books and only orders Veri to get chocolate cake and pastries. But he doesn't even touch those cakes after Veri gets them, so I end up finishing everything he orders.

Just like my last life, my body can't handle too much sugar and I easily get high sugar but I still finish everything on the table every evening. Like, come on! You can't waste good pastries and cake someone worked hard to make! Aside from Orion's odd behaviour which kept me on my guard everyday, I received letters from the Adarlan siblings.

Asterin informed me that they reached Sluuhwell safely, and told me to say thank you to the Duke and she sent me well wishes to get well quickly and warned me not to get tangled in any dangerous situation like last time. The perfect second princess!

Catherine was all happy and excited unlike her calm sister. She told me how much she wanted to meet and asked if there were any chances for me to just teleport myself to Adarlan duchy. I felt bad for the kid. Unfortunately for Catherine, the last two sudden spells that I managed to make work were all with the help from the mysterious voice in my head. So sadly I won't be able to teleport myself to Adarlan duchy until I learn to do magic on my own.

As I was supposed to visit the tower of magic after a week, today was finally that long awaited day. After finishing the breakfast early, I asked Emily and Veri to get me ready. I was wearing a rose pink off shoulder dress that reached my knees. The dress had a wavy skirt carved with a hard material. There was glitter lightly placed around the flower petal. While I was wearing the same rose pink heels matched with it. My hair was let down like it normally was. With a few thin braids around, while my side bangs framed my face. The same rose pink ribbon was used on my hair. Which was of course a bit too much for the tower of magic, where I am going for educational purposes but guess what? It's two against one!

I pulled on the white and gold cloak over my dress. It was something all magicians were at the tower to show that they are part of the tower. The cloak was something Evanora was given when she first attended the tower, though I had to order a bigger size recently. Thankfully it came in time. Alongside the cloak, Evanora was given another thing. It was the teleportation coin. On both sides of the coin a geometric spell circle is sealed on the coin. Once the coin is flipped it will create a holographic version of the geometric spell circle and teleport the person who flipped the coin to the selected destination. Also the teleportation is fixed between two destinations only like two sides of the coin. From the tower to the Dukedom and from the dukedom to the tower.

I walked towards the entrance of the mansion to get out. Though I could just flip the coin in my room, I decided to walk outside.

"Going to the tower?" I turned to the source of the voice to answer the question.

"Yes Dad!" I said as I smiled at Duke .

"Do you best," he said with a small smile.

I walked outside as the butlers opened the door for me. Flipping the coin, I felt the hologram fall on me and disappear in the next second. The quietness of the duchy disappeared and was replaced with loud noises of vehicles and crowds. As I looked around, I found myself standing in front of a huge castle with many towers. I was here, at Gusan.

Gusan was the city of magic. Like all the estate heads, the aristocrat who takes cake of Gusan is Marquess Reamann. For generations and generations the Reamann family had been the head of the tower of magic and for their contribution to the empire, Gusan was given to the Reamann family. And as time went by, Gusan became the most known city among the magicians. All trades of magic stone, weapons and jewellery with magic are found and done here. It was the home of mage's under the protection of the head magician.

Which was one of the reasons why none of them were shocked when I teleported there out of nowhere in broad daylight. Walking towards the gates of the castle, the magician who was guarding asked me for my name. Even if I was a noble, everyone in the tower was treated equally. After matching the information and matching the data they let me in.

Of course the castle was huge, and it was easy to get lost. But thanks to all those instructors who were guiding people around. Though Evanora was here before, this was my first time at the tower. While waiting with all the new students who are supposed to get selected today as well, this all gave me somewhat the Harry Potter sorting ceremony vibes. Among all the students, I was the only older one. I tried not to let myself get carried away by that, but this is what happens when you skip classes for 3 years! If you are not aware, Evanora left the tower 3 years ago.

"Excuse me," a small voice called from my side as I turned around and looked at the kid.

"Are you a student too?" the kid asked as I nodded and gave the kid a small smile.

"Then why are you studying when you are all grown up!" the kid asked as I just looked at the kid and smiled. I never had a good relationship with kids. They used to get scared of me whenever I met them in my previous life. Which is why I myself always avoided kids.

"Well, I used to study magic. But I didn't study for the last 3 years, so I am here to complete my studies!" I said with a smile. Perfectly explaining myself.

"That means you got kicked out!" the kid explained as I just looked at the kid shocked. He just got the opposite meaning.

"No-" before I could explain myself again, the magicians walked in alongside with the head of the tower, Zaven Réamann. He looked exactly how he was described in the book. White hair with grey eyes filled with mystery. White robes and a white and gold cloak. His hair was pushed backwards, with the small smile placed on his face as he welcomed the new students. He just looked stunning as he stood there, no wonder everyone loved the Magician Zaven even though he only appeared a few times. And I have to admit, when I read the book I simped for the Magician but now that he is in front of me I think I forgot to breathe.

After the introductions, Marquess Zaven spoke with the magicians for a few minutes as the others then talked among themselves. After all the discussion was over, the magician's called out the students they wanted to teach. One by one every student got selected by the magicians and they left the grandhall with their student. Soon everyone was selected and the whole room was empty, except for me and Marquess Zaven. At this moment I should be worried about how I didn't get selected but all I could think of was that I was all alone with Zaven Reamann. I looked over at Marquess Zaven only to find him looking over at me with a smile. I looked away and stared at the door.

What is wrong with me!? Evanora had men running after her! And here I am, cowering away.

"Lady Evanora," I heard the smooth voice of Marquess Zaven. God, it is smoother than I imagined.

"Yes," I said, as I looked at him with a closed eyed smile.

"How are you feeling today?" His smooth voice had me dazed. Who knew that handsome men were my weakness.

"Completely fine." I replied, still in my daze. Just looking at this face can heal all my injury and sickness.

"Is that so?" Marquess Reamann smiled. Ah! That smile can kill anyone! So perfect man! With a perfect smile!

"Yes," I replied basking in his beauty.

"Are you willing to be the student of the magician Reamann?" Marquess Zaven asked as I looked at him in shock.

Hold on! What student? I am planning to marry you here! What student are you talking about?!

"As the master of the tower, I choose you as my student." Marquess Zaven said.

First of all, this isn't pokemon and second of all THE TOWER OF MAGIC'S HEAD MAGICIAN'S STUDENT!? NO!
