Winchester
September 2nd.
"Did you hear?" Charlie questioned, as she and Castiel headed down the hallway of Lawrence High School, ready to start their sophomore years.
"Hear what?" Castiel asked.
"There's a couple new students." Castiel raised an eyebrow.
"Really?"
"Yeah, two boys. One in our grade and one in the grade below us."
"What's their story?" Charlie shrugged.
"Don't know yet. Jo knows them though. She said they were old family friends."
"Well then you should go interrogate Jo." Charlie blushed.
"No."
"Why?" Castiel said slyly. "Afraid she'll ask you out?"
"Jo is the hottest girl in school." Charlie proclaimed. "She'd never go out with me."
"Not with that attitude."
"Cassie!"
"Just stating the fac-" His sentence was cut off as someone slammed into him, causing both of them to drop their books.
Ah, yes. Always start off with a strong cliche.
"I'm so sorry!" The other person insisted.
"It's alright." Cas offered, as they both dove for their books. Cas glanced up and tried not to let his jaw drop to the floor.
The guy who had slammed into him was gorgeous. He was muscular, with blond hair and green eyes. Charlie was standing behind the mystery guy, mouthing the words 'Hot Damn'.
Mystery guy smiled at him.
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Castiel." He replied. "I'm Castiel Novak." He stammered. "What's yours?"
"I'm Dean." He insisted, as they stood back up. The hot guy had a name. "Dean Winchester."
Castiel's eyes widened. He would've replied, but there were no words. He just ended up gaping at Dean like a moron until Dean offered him another smile.
"It was nice meeting you," He declared, walking off.
"What the hell, dude!" Charlie shouted. "You could've gotten his number!" She waved her hand in front of Castiel's face, but he didn't even blink. "Dude, what the hell? Are you okay? Are you having a stroke? Do you smell toast?"
"I-"
"CASSIE!" Gabriel's familiar voice shouted. Gabe shoved Charlie aside and grabbed at his brother. "Did you hear about the new kids in school- I just met one and his name was-"
"I just met the other one and his name-" Castiel and Gabriel started talking over each other, freaking out.
"And he looked just like the-"
"And he has the SAME exact name as the-"
"And even his hair and-"
"OH MY GOD."
"I KNOW!"
"....What's going on?" Charlie asked, confused.
"Long story, don't ask." Gabe declared. "Cassie, what are we gonna do about this?"
"I don't know!" Castiel insisted. What was there to do? "It's not like we can just walk up to them and say Hey, you have the same name as my favorite childhood toy!"
"You're right, you're right." Gabe offered. "....But they are really cute."
"So cute." Castiel agreed. Gabriel's eyes lit up.
"Then let's make a bet!" He exclaimed.
"What? Why?"
"Cassie, this is a sign from the universe. These boys are OBVIOUSLY our soulmates, so let's not let them get away. Make a deal with me. By the end of the week, we'll be going out on a date with them."
"Are you insane?" Castiel declared. "I only just found out his name! I'm not gonna be able to go out with him by the end of the week!"
"Okay, then by the end of next week!"
"What about a phone number? Can we get a phone number by the end of next week?"
"Nope. Ask him out by the end of next week. You get Dean, I get Sam."
"Sam's two years younger then you!"
"So what?" Gabriel questioned. "Remus and Tonks were thirteen years apart. Some people marry their siblings. Look at Game of Thrones. A two year age difference is nothing!"
"This is insane." Castiel declared. "This is crazy. What are the odds of this?"
"I don't know, I don't care. All I know is that Sam Winchester is super cute, and I really wanna run my hands through his super long hair. So shake with me on a bet."
".....Fuck it." They shook on it. "We'll have asked them out by the end of next week."
"Yep, and whoever doesn't get a date has to do whatever the other guy wants for a whole day."
"I'm so gonna regret this."
"No you're not."
