Besties
"What is it?" Castiel asked immediately as he spotted Charlie trying to keep a large smile off her face.
"Nothing," She said slyly, heading towards the girl's bathroom.
"It's not nothing," Cas grinned slightly. "Tell me!" He poked at his friend and Charlie paused in front of the door to the girl's bathroom.
"I've got a date," She declared, darting into the restroom.
"WHAT!" Castiel's voice yelled out as the door swung shut behind her. Charlie laughed, heading for the sinks, and then Castiel burst into the restroom.
"You can't be in here!" Meg called from one of the sinks, looking horrified.
"Oh, shut up Meg, Cassie's more of a woman than you are," Charlie declared, digging through her backpack to retrieve a makeup bag. "He can be in here."
"Besides, I've got two sisters," Castiel rolled his eyes. "I know how girls and their bathrooms work." Charlie paused.
"I should totally put eyeliner on you." She commented.
"Oh please no," Castiel insisted. "My brothers would never let me live that one down."
"True." Meg rolled her eyes and stormed out of the bathroom, leaving them alone.
"So who's your date with?" Castiel demanded the second the door swung shut.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you," Charlie smirked.
"Try me." The redhead grinned deviously.
"Jo." She offered. Castiel's eyes widened.
"Jo?" He echoed. "As in Jo Harvelle?"
"Yep."
"You've got a date with THE Jo Harvelle?"
"Yep."
"SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. How did you do that? She's smoking hot!"
"Careful, Cassie, your straight is showing."
"I didn't even know Jo was into girls." Charlie grinned.
"Bisexuality is a beautiful thing, Castiel. One day you'll understand."
"Still though! You got a date with Jo Harvelle, I'm so proud."
"What about you?"
"What about me?"
"Mister Never-Gets-A-Date. What about you? Any progress with GI Joe or somebody else?" An image of Dean Winchester popped into Castiel's head and he shoved it aside.
"Uh, no, not really," He offered. "And besides, at this point my siblings have slept with every gay guy in town."
"Which one- Balthazar or Gabriel?"
"Both. Hell, I can name at least six guys who changed their sexuality after Balthazar."
"Dude, your sibling's a sex magnet, what can I say? Everybody's thought about sleeping with him."
"Surely not EVERYONE-"
"Honey, I'm gayer then a rainbow, and even I'd let him in my Chamber of Secrets." Castiel cringed.
"That was not a mental image I wanted."
"Yeah, well neither are half the things I see on Tumblr, deal with it." Castiel shook his head.
"You're so weird."
"I know," Charlie agreed, grinning at him. "That's why we're best friends."

Jo and Dean laid on the soccer field, totally NOT avoiding the laps they were supposed to be running for gym class at all.
"Jo, you've been at this school for awhile, right?" Dean asked.
"Uh, only my whole life buddy. Why?"
"Well.... What can you tell me about Castiel Novak?"
"Ooooo, does someone have a crush?" Dean shoved at her.
"Shut up! Just lay the facts on me."
"Alright," Jo grinned. "Well for starters, it's Cas. Nobody calls him Castiel except the teachers. He's got a stupid amount of siblings, and they're all loud and sweet. Cas is the quiet one out of the bunch, and he's a nerd just like you. Doesn't have many friends outside his siblings, but he's really smart, and that's all I really know....OH! He's best friends with Charlie!"
"As in the Charlie that's in love with you?"
"NO, as in the Charlie I'm going on a date with on Friday."
"Seriously?"
"Yep! She asked me out this morning. It was adorable, she was so nervous."
"Well, well. I didn't think she had the guts."
"Oh, but she does. I can't wait."
"Is it too early to start shipping you?"
"No, actually, it's the perfect time."
"Wonderful. You're Jarlie now."
"Why Jarlie?
"It's either that or Co."
"Yeah, Jarlie's better. But what about you? Are you gonna ask out little old Cas Novak?" Dean's face went red.
"I don't know... What if he's not interested?"
"He's hella gay if that's what you're worried about."
"No, it's just... I haven't really dated a boy before-"
"It's no different from a girl, trust me."
"Really?"
"Well, obviously SOME things are different, and honestly I think boys are easier, but still. Not that complicated at all. You should go for it."
"Maybe I will."
"YES. Then I hereby pronounce you Destiel."
"Geez Jo, let me get a date with the guy first, will ya?"
"Never. You're new, you gotta move faster on these things."
