Chapter 13
I dedicate this chapter to Midnightsapphire13 for writing amazing books and being so nice!

She knocks, and there's no answer.
"Um, what do we do now? " She seems confused.
"Let's just go in."
"Okay." Obviously she doesn't care about breaking rules. Wonder where she got that from.
The door is locked, but I look under the mat. There's a key. Classic spot. I almost laugh.
We walk in, and this feels like a mansion. Glossy and shiny, marble and limestone. It's beautiful.
"Hello? Anyone here? We need to do a school project!" Ally yells. Wow, nothing seems off to her yet. I hope it stays that way.
"We'll have to find them, I guess, since it's such a big place they might not even be able to hear us!"
"You're probably right. Where should we go?" She's making this too easy.
"Uh, maybe upstairs?" It makes the most sense. Why would she be hidden downstairs? I don't see any good spots.
"Okay!" She follows me up the shiny, granite stairs. There's still nothing suggesting suspicion.
"They might be in here, so get ready to interview." she says, pointing to the room in the back. That's the perfect hiding spot.
We walk down the long hallway to reach the back of the hallway, and it has many more kinds of glossy stones, and I didn't think a house could be this beautiful. It's so long it feels just as long as a walk that it took to get here.
Once we (finally) arrive at the end of it, I take the knob and twist it, wondering why I'm even doing this. I can't stop turning it because I must know.
I open it, and it's a normal room. She has to be in here!
"They must be in another room then," states Ally. That can't be. She has to be in here.
That's when I see it. I look at the chimney. Yes, there's a chimney in this bedroom, and by the looks of it, pretty much every room. Anyway, there's a brick that sticks out. Odd, because they're all together. I walk towards the brick. I push in the brick.
"What are you doing? It's just a brick in the wrong spot." Wrong. They're glued. "It's a normal ch-chiii..." She stops, and the chimney back opens to become an entrance to a dark hallway. A hallway to what, I'm not sure. But there's one thing that I'm sure about:
This is no ordinary chimney. And what lies beyond for me and Ally, can't be either.
