I finally fall asleep, and in the morning, I have to go to another day of school. Why do I need it? I don't, I can be whatever I want to be! Literally!

When I get there, Ally happens to be there today. She skips more than half of the time, and I'm really unlucky when she comes.

"Well, well, well. Look who it is. You are too smart to come to school, and being smart is stupid, because you're not cool if you're smart.-" I stop listening, but I think she gave me a compliment.

"What's the catch, don't think I'm that stupid."

She giggles and everyone else does now too, having realized what she means, but I didn't. I don't pay attention still. Everyone cracks up, except me.

"Oh, real mature, Ally, real mature." I'm surprised because she wasn't as bad as normal, in fact, far from it. Even though I didn't hear much, it was short and I didn't hear my nickname. It was relieving. I walk away, not looking back, and they just laugh harder. I don't get them at all. I never will.

At lunch, I want Ally by me tonight, so I go over and say, "We need to talk."

"About what? Advice on how to be cool?"

Ugh, for once can she shut up. "No, don't you remember our project, the big science one due in two days?"

"Nope, no project. I guess-"

"Don't make fun of me. I'm serious. Meet me at my house tonight to work on it, and I'll do most of the work, too."

She smirks. "Alright, if you'll do my homework for.... three weeks."

"Make that a day."

"Done. I wasn't expecting you to say yes at all, but if you insist." She giggles a little.

"Meet me right after school, or the deal's off and I'll finish the project by myself and tell the teacher I did it on my own."

"You wouldn't dare," she scowled at me.

"Yes I would, and you know it." I'm happy with my triumph.

"Fine. At three, I'll be there," she glares at me now, enough to figuratively melt me.

There is no project. I know she won't be at school when it's "due." I do know one thing:
