*Emily's POV* I was sitting in soda's lap pony kept looking at me the whole time. I think he's jealous but pony doesn't ever get jealous but I could tell that he was mad he wasn't mad at me he was mad at the situation I can only hope that I'm right, I could tell that by the smile pony gave me after the kiss and the look that he's giving me now he expected me to have the same feeling as he did but I can't I just can't I don't know how to tell pony that I don't have any relationship affection for him. He's best friend material for me but he wants me to be girlfriend material, everybody is watching TV Two-Bit is drinking a beer and Dally went outside to smoke and that left me,pony,Darry, soda, and Johnny. Johnny and Ponyboy kept looking at me I didn't understand what they were looking at luckily Darry broke the awkwardness and yelled dinner is ready we all raced to the kitchen table I started laughing when we got there "what are you laughing about?huh?" Two-Bit said with a smile on his face he was laughing a little to "cause were like little kids still I mean we don't realize that a table isn't that big of a deal" I said with a smile on my face everyone started saying I'm right and they started laughing except for pony. I understand pony is mad at either me or the problem which isn't really a problem if you ask me but still that was pretty funny I'm just glad he stopped looking at me,everybody was eating it was soup with bread and butter "hey Darry can I spend the night tonight?" I said only looking at him pony stopped eating and looked at me "yeah sure you can either sleep on the couch or in ponyboy's room" Darry said looking at soda to give the idea that soda was moving to the couch if I choose the room."uh yeah and I'll move to the couch if you choose our room,its not a big deal" soda said kind of confused it was almost like he was confused on why he had to give up 'his' room for a girl like me "I'll just sleep on the couch I mean its just for one night and you don't have to give up your room for me soda" I said kind of looking at pony "I don't really mind" soda said now I feel like soda is trying to help Ponyboy out like for us to sleep together or something. "Nah its fine" I said smiling "well I sure do like this friction that's happening we never talk at the table" Two-Bit said popping open another beer bottle "don't you think one bottle is enough" I said nervously "well no its not I'm known for drinking I could drink 7 bottles and one time I did" Two-Bit said trying to show off to me "yeah but doesn't make your breathe-" I got cut off by pony "Darry am I doing the dishes tonight?" Pony said looking at me with a look like yeah I just did that "no pony soda will do it tonight" Darry said looking at soda. Everybody got up from the table except me I was still in the schock that pony did that I mean I wasn't shocked at the moment but now I am because who interuppets someone just to ask about chores but whatever. I finally got from the table and sat on the couch next to Two-Bit I was laughing really loud and as I was laughing I was looking at pony the whole time with a look that said I got you "you dig okay baby, wanna try some beer its the good kind" Two-Bit said smiling at me handing me the bottle of beer I take it and I'm about to drink it to mess with pony but then soda quickly says "come Two-Bit don't let her drink it its bad for her" "and you think its good for me? Everybody knows that beer is magic in a bottle" Two-Bit said laughing really loud "what was the point to that?" Pony asked "because beer really isn't good for anyone" Johnny said "wow you guys sure do know a lot about beer" I say with air quotes around alot.everyone started laughing a little but then it got quiet the TV was on commercial "well I'm going to the lot who wants to come?" I said changing the subject "I'll go" said Two-Bit, Steve, pony,johnny,even sodapop not Dally though I was surprised Dally would never miss a good hangout time but he didn't want to go he said he was going to go get drunk at Buck's place so we let him go.
