*Chloe's POV*
"Let's do this.." I said to Madelyne as we walked on stage to do our duet. We went out there and did it the best we could. I thought it was amazing, but you never know what the 3 judges are writing on their papers. Next was the group.
*Katie's POV*
"Okay girls!" I said. "Hurry up so we can run the number!" The girls were getting ready for our national group dance, Fiesta. Once they were ready, we ran the number. It looked good. Maybe not enough to beat Abby's girls.. But we'll see.
*Chloe's POV*
It's time! We walked out on stage to preform our group number. We forgot a small part, but Katie told us that if we forget just do 4 fouttes. Luckily all of us forgot so it looked like it was supposed to be there. When we finished, we went to get our Studio19 jackets and do awards.

Time Skip To Awards~
"For the top 10 junior solo category.. We have in 10th place- All Gods Creatures, Maddie Ziegler!" The man said.
Oh.
My.
God.
Maddie got 10th place!! That's unusual.
The man continued, saying random peoples names. No Mackenzie, Jojo or Kalani.
And in 1st place, with a score of 232.."
He paused. Torturing me. Was it gonna be me? Probably not.
"Little bird, Chloe Lukasiak!"
I just beat the ALDC's solos BIG TIME!! I was so happy.
"And now for duets.. Top 10!"
He started saying random names I didn't know.
"In 7th place... The little girl down the lane, Mackenzie Ziegler and Nia Frazier!" Wow.
"And in 5th place.. Walking through a storm, Maddie Ziegler and Kalani Hilliker!"
"Now 2nd and 1st place are only 1 point apart.. I would like them to come up. In no order. Chloe Lukasiak and Madelyne Spang, hanging by a thread, and Kendall Vertes and Jojo Siwa, Play to win."
We went up, and Kendall waved. I smiled a bit.
"In 1st place.. Winning the duet national title...
Hanging by a thread, Chloe and Madelyne!" Everyone clapped but I could barely hear. I was so happy. If we beat the group.. This is gonna be it.
"And now groups.. Top 10!"
The ALDC wasn't called once. In 1st place.. Fiesta!" We came up and he asked us what studio we were from.
"STUDIO 19 DANCE COMPLEX!!" We yelled. Abby's team didn't place. My mom looked like she was gonna come up on stage and toss us all up in the air. This was officially the best day of my life!!

We went backstage and Katie came up to me.
"Chloe dear, someone wants to speak with you on the other side." She said. I went over to the other side of the backstage area, and you wouldn't believe who I saw. Abby Lee Miller.
"Chloe!!" She said, about to cry.
"Hi Abby.." I said.
"Chloe.. We need you here at the Abby Lee Dance Company. You've improved so well. Please, come back."
I paused for a minute for 2 reasons.
A) Why was she begging for me to come back when she treats everyone terribly?
B) I've improved with a studio that isn't hers. I got my standing back tuck the first week I was at Studio19 and I've been practicing it there for years.
So I spoke up.
"No. You've always treated me like crap alog with almost everyone else. After about 2 weeks you'll do that to me. And we BOTH know it. I don't care if it's preparing us for the real world. You were supposed to teach us DANCE. You could tell us what would happen, not demonstrate it evey single day. I'm happy here at my studio." I said. I went off. She deserved it. She stared bawling too.. I guess I felt a little bad on he inside, but I was angry.
"Save your tears for your pillow." I said and walked away.
