Chapter 11
I woke up this morning at 8:30AM. I had to leave for dance at around 7:00PM, I only lived around 15 minutes away from Studio19, and not and hour-and-a-half.
I had pancakes for breakfast, my favorite. Then I did my usual morning stuff. I was going to the park with that boy I've been talking to, Matt, at 1:00. I wore a dusty pink sundress and not so dramatic winged eyeliner. I put on white flats and headed out the door.
I walked there, it was only about a 5 minute walk.
I saw him in the parking lot waiting for me. He was wearing a red button up shirt and shorts that came down to his kneecap.
He walked over to me and gave me an awkward hug.
"Hey Chloe" He said and smirked.
"Hey, Matt." I replied smiling
He. Is. So. CUTE!!!!
He asked me what I wanted to do, I said we should go on the swings. We talked a bit and walked around until about 6:00PM.
I told him I had to go, and he gave me a hug goodbye. This time, it wasn't so awkward. I walked home to pack my dance bag. We left at 7:00PM
I wore my blue matching dance wear, and of course my dance shoes. I put on some normal jazz shoes, with all my others in my bag. In my bag I kept: my phone/phone charger, a cold water bottle, a granola bar for after, the rest of my dance shoes, and an extra dance outfit just in case I spilt something or it ripped or whatever.
~Time Skip To 7:20~
"Alright girls! A few things before we get started. First, Everyone please welcome Chloe Lukasiak!" Our dance teacher, Katie said.
I smiled and waved while everyone said hello. Katie continued:
"Second of all, congratulations on winning last competition! We have 2 weeks until the next one. And Chloe we know you are used to one, but now you have more time to perfect."
I half smiled.
"And now assignments. Our group number this week will be called Red rover. You all know that game, don't you?"
Everyone nodded and smiled.
"Its a dark, creepy peice that should give people chills down their spines. Anyways, solos. We have only one. And for a special reason. Chloe, its going to you!"
I smiled so big. everyone clapped, lightly. I wasn't any standing ovation.
"And the reason is, Well. Chloe, you will be going against the Abby-Lee Dance company. And against Maddie Ziegler."
I gasped. My heart fell to my stomache. I knew I HAD to win.
"Chloe, your solo is called The angels above. Its lyrical. I don't know what peice Maddie is doing and I want you to know that there's no pressure. I just thought that you would wanna win."
I spoke up.
"I do, I wanna show Miss Abby that I can do better without her." I said. Everyone 'wooed.'
"Adda girl!" Katie continued.
We worked on our dances for a long time. 2 hours of dance 6 days a week. I could do that. At least it wasn't 4-5 hours like it was with Abby.
After dance, we all headed to the dressing room. Everyone welcomed me for real and gave me hugs. Some of us extanged phone numbers and kiks, and a bunch of social medias. They were so nice. Of course Maddie, Kenzie, Nia, Kendall, and the girls I danced with at the ALDC were nice. But this was different. I could tell I would really like it here. No yelling, threatening, comparing; it was amazing.
