Something that annoys me #1 (because trust me, there will be many, many sequels)--

Because of the holiday spirit, I present you something that annoys me about society and Christmas. No, not the songs. I actually look forward to the songs.

During Christmas time, instead of asking everyone, "Hi, how are you?" it turns to "Merry Christmas!" for about a month. 

You've probably said it to tons of people. The worker at Chick-fil-A, teachers, friends, family, etc.-- in that order. 

Do people ever get offended? DO THEY? 

In my experience, no. They smile. They respond with something like, "Thank you, you too." They do not freak out like, "OH MY GOSSSSSSHHHH, HOW DARE YOU, I'M NOT RELIGIOUS, AHH! BURN HEATHEN." A lot of people will ask what your plans are for the holiday.

Seriously, most of the world celebrates Christmas. Even though it is a Christian holiday, you do not have to be Christian to celebrate it. Most people who aren't religious still celebrate Christmas. 

So what really aggravates me is the school system (it always comes to them, doesn't it) being like "Weeeeell, we don't want to offend anyone, so we'll call it Winter break."

No one calls it 'Winter break.'

It's Christmas break.

No one is offended.

It's actually kind of offensive to Christians that our religion is apparently considered offensive, even though LEGIT EVERYONE CALLS IT CHRISTMAS, EVEN PEOPLE WHO DON'T CELEBRATE IT.

Geez.
