Rescue For Some
Marinette and Tikki wandered the halls of the station, trying to identify it's purpose. Most of the rooms they found were trashed, and bullets riddled the floors. Had the station been attacked?
One room showed promise, however...It appeared to be a bedroom, though empty, and the bed still unmade.
She saw a hairbrush on the nightstand, next to a photo. She picked it up, examining it closely.
The picture was of a human girl about her age, her blond hair pulled back with a headband. She was tightly hugging a black anthro hedgehog with red streaks and eyes, whose face showed he hadn't expected the sudden hug, but was smiling all the same.
The back of the photo read: Maria Robotnik and Shadow, 3685.
"3685...?" Tikki whispered. "That's in the faroff future!"
"Maybe back on Earth, Tikki, but not here...I wonder what happened to them..."
Suddenly she heard voices in the hall, and she ducked into a closet to hide. She left it open a smidge to watch as the door opened, and two larger robots tossed their prisoner onto the floor, the same hedgehog from the photo.
His wrists and ankles were cuffed together, along with his mouth gagged, and he didn't look happy at all as he struggled.
"Ha ha!" A large man stepped into the room, taking Shadow by the chin. "Nice try, Shadow! Your attempt to stop me was a noble gesture, but fruitless!" He pulled Shadow closer. "And don't bother struggling, those cuffs were designed just for you, and drain your Chaos Energy the more you struggle!" He knocked Shadow onto his side, grinning wide.
As the man and the robots left the room, cackling evilly, Marinette slowly opened the closet and stepped out. "Hey..." She whispered.
Shadow looked up at her, his enraged gaze softening a little with confusion. "I don't know if I can remove the cuffs, but at least let me get this gag off."
She helped him to sit up, then untied the gag. "Puh! Thank you...but what are you doing here? Are you another one of the doctor's goons!?"
"No no no! I don't work for him! I got dropped here by a portal from another dimension...What is this place...?"
"Space Colony Ark...I was born here, fifty years ago."
"You look young for your age."
"Gee. Thanks." Shadow mumbled. "I could get you back to the surface, if my hands and feet were free."
Marinette looked around, then pulled out her yoyo. "Let's hope this still works...Lucky Charm!"
She tossed the yoyo up, then it dropped back down, along with a bobby pin. "Now this'll work!"
She took the bobby pin, slipping it into the cuffs. "Now let's see..."
"What do I call you?"
"...Lady."

The horrible smell only got stronger as Chat, Plagg and Solaris dashed down the street, pausing to look down at an old building by the docks. "Bingo..."
"Whew!" Chat waved a hand in front of his nose. "It smells worse than Plagg's breath after he eats a piece of Camembert...!"
"Hey!" Plagg complained. "I have perfect breath!"
"Perfectly stinky."
"Shh!" Solaris hissed. "Forget about the smell, we won't be dealing with it long."
"How do you know your wife's down there?"
Solaris didn't respond, instead taking off towards the building, and Chat had no choice but to follow.
He knocked the door down, stepping in. "Charcoal Grey!" He growled.
As Chat stepped in, he saw how similar he and Charcoal looked. Charcoal's fur was the same blond as his, and he had the black ears and tail, but the mask wasn't a part of his face, like Chat's was now.
"Oh look, your Hubby's come to rescue you! How sappy!" Charcoal sneered.
"Yeah..." Abbie was hanging upsidedown from the ceiling, looking down at them. "I would've freed myself, Phil, but I'd rather not fall on my head."
"Oh! And you brought a little sidekick, too! How quaint...!"
Solaris looked to Chat. "You think you can handle this guy?"
Chat grinned. "No problem...!" He gave a yowl as he jumped into action. "You're not Copy-Cat, but you'll do!"
He kicked Charcoal back, though dodging a lashing swipe by the villain's claws. "You're calling me the copy cat!?"
"At least my mask is natural!" Chat reached out and tapped the mask, disintegrating it off with his Cataclysm. "See!?"
"Why you little-!"
Chat yelped as Charcoal's claws got his cheek, stumbling back. "I have the upper hand here!"
Chat growled, holding his cheek. "Not quite...!" He ran forward, then slid under this adversary and rotting the floorboards as he did so.
Both cats broke through the floor, Charcoal splashing into the water below with angry yowl.
Chat clung to the edge of the boards, his claws digging into the wood and his cheek throbbing with pain.
"Adrian!" Plagg tried to pull his friend up, but in this instance, his small size was no help.
Chat struggled to get back up, his ears flat against his head. "This cat doesn't have nine lives!" He shouted.
"Hold on, kid!" Solaris called towards him, but that was when the boards broke. "No!"
Chat splashed into the dark water below, and struggled to find the surface. Finally his head broke the surface, and he gasped for air. "'Cough!' 'Cough!' Plagg!" He called up.
Suddenly he had Charcoal jump onto his back, pulling him under again.
He struggled to remove the enemy from his back, twisting and fighting, but that used up what little air supply he had in his lungs. They burned, and his thoughts were blurring.
Was this it? Was he going to drown?
Suddenly something solid came up under him and shoved him upwards, bringing both to the surface.
Chat collapsed onto what was a large piece of crystal, gasping for air.
More crystal pried Charcoal off of him, slowly lifting them both up to floor level.
"Adrian!" Plagg lifted his friend's head up as he coughed up water. "Come on, buddy! Don't go out on me!"
"'Cough!' I'll be okay, Plagg. 'Cough!'"
Abbie, now free, grabbed Charcoal by the collar. "Now that I have my feet on the ground, we can settle this...!"
"You wouldn't...!" Charcoal hissed. "You don't have the guts!"
"I'm a nurse, I deal with guts all the time...!" Her hands glowed, and Chat watched as the cat transformed into a little kitten, wet and sniffling. "Oh stop that, you'll be back to your normal age in a few hours... Now to deliver you to the police..."
"And I believe you and I had an agreement?" Solaris reminded.
Chat nodded, getting up onto his feet. "Yeah...Let's find Ladybug."
