One Year Later

3rd Person P.O.V- The light and the life that once shone in Nick Groff's brown eyes has faded leaving behind an empty void in a shell that is determined to find that 'Life' within again. As he delved deeper into his research and dabbled with riskier experiments at the risk of losing his family and nearly ending his career, he is set on walking the line between life and death.

Cane Hill Hospital Croydon, England

Katrina- I look around the eerie room, in worry. "Nick this is a very bad idea."

Rob- I finish setting up the last camera. "Dude normally I'm all for your experiments, but..." I look around the room uneasy. "Don't you think this may be going too far?"

Nick- "Never...I'm perfectly safe!"

Katrina- (Mutters) "That's what you said last time." We had to stop the investigation and get Nick to the closest Hospital, because he flat-lined himself without us knowing.

Rob- I had a very bad feeling about this, honestly I did.

Nick- I remove anything metal in my pockets, then take off my shirt. I get up on the table and lay down. "If you both are that queasy then I have this handled."

Katrina- "LIKE HELL YOU DO!" I quickly take the paddles off him.

Rob- "You need someone to bring you back dumbass. Your experiments already cost you your family...you should stop, before you lose your life!"

Nick- (Sneers) "I have this handled!" I grab the paddles off Kat and shock myself.

Katrina- My eyes widen. "OH MY GOD!" I check for a pulse. "He's flat-lined himself!"

Rob- I get her out of the way and begin performing CPR on our friend. "Come on Nick."

Nick- I hear them...no I see them as they work around my physical body. ~Whoa~

Doctor- I look at the young male unamused. ~You are stupid to do such a thing...tethering yourself to this world is dangerous!~

Nick- I look at the man in the white coat perplexed. ~What do you mean?~

Doctor- (Laughs) ~He whom dances with the Demons will explain it all!~

Nick- In shock I sit up. "NO!" Gasping for air.

Rob- Kat and I step back quickly. "Dude..."

Katrina- "No...what?"

Nick- "I...fuck...I have to go to Vegas..."

Rob- Kat and I shared confused looks.

Katrina- "Alright, I mean if it stops you from killing yourself."

Nick- I ignore them and begin packing my things.

Rob- He just packs up and at this point we knew better than to ask.

Katrina- (Sighs Heavily) Another investigation we have to bail on early, add it to the ever growing list.

Airport/Airplane

Rob- We get to the airport and get through security. "See ya Later Kat." I give Nick his space seeing he is very distracted, then we all split.

Katrina- (Mutters Softly) Yep, hopefully he'll be back to himself." We go our separate ways, heading home.

Nick- I board my plane and sit next to the window with my headphones in. 'How the fuck am I even gonna begin explaining this mess to Zak?'
