A/N: I'm so sorry!!! I know I updated late, and I know this chapter is short, but I promise it's worth it! Read ahead to your liking.... :)

“We have a critical situation.”

            Those were the first words Emma heard when she walked into school on Monday.

            “Emma Andros, please report to the main office.”

            She said bye to her friends and dashed to the main office. What had she done wrong? When she reached there, she saw the principal and her dad in deep conversation. They were whispering, so she only caught a few words of the conversation:

            “… Got attacked… Saturday… Warriors”

            “… Not safe… captured… battles”

            That was all she needed to hear. Walking up to the front desk, she informed them she was there.

            “Hello Emma, how are you?” asked the principal politely.

            “I’m fine,” she replied, “What’s going on?”

            “Well, you see,” began her dad, “I was just telling your principal how you got attacked on Saturday by some Warriors.”

            “It’s not safe, Emma,” added her principal, “You could be captured. We are thinking of starting the battles early, that way the enemy doesn’t have an advantage. After all, you are ready.”

            “Sir I am not sure that I am completely ready…”

            “I’m sure you are,” disagreed her principal, “The battle will begin in five days. Please get yourself ready to fight.” And with that, both of them left the room.

            Emma screamed in frustration. Five days to get ready? Was this some kind of sick joke? She had to fight Jake in five days. She had to mentally prepare herself in five days. She had to physically prepare herself in five days! Thank goodness for the ninja masks, she thought, then I won’t be able to see his face and won’t get distracted.

            Emma couldn’t concentrate in school for the rest of the day. During her free times and lunch, she explained the situation to her friends. Shocked, they agreed to help her.

            In those five days, Maddy helped her concentrate on anything but Jake, Emily helped her with fighting techniques, Katie helped her with battle tactics, and Liz and Nina kept the mood light for her. She had never been more stressed before, even for her exams. But she managed to improve greatly. Soon enough, she was ready to fight.

A/N: The next two chapters have the battles and then there's just a conclusion. I can't believe the book is almost finished already! This was my first book on Wattpad and I had tons of fun with it.
