I was walking next to mother as we patrolled the snowy forest we called home. I was in poke form, loving the feeling of fresh snow under my paws. Although all Pokemon could say the same, I was no ordinary Alolan vulpix. At will I could change to a human form. But I preferred not to. Human's were vile. I felt disgusted that human blood ran in my veins. They capture us and force us to hurt one another!

"Is something wrong, daughter?"

"Huh? Oh nothing. Just those red and white things."

"Hmhmhm. They're called pokeballs, I believe."

"They're terrible! Keeping us in those and forcing us to fight!"

"It will be fine."

"Yeah! We-"

Mother put a paw on my mouth. I was about to ask when I heard heavy footsteps. These were not Pokemon footsteps. Humans. I felt my blood boiling as a trainer appeared in front of us. He threw a pokeball and out came a Gengar.

"Gengar, Shadow ball."

I sent an ice beam that stopped the dark sphere from hitting us. Suddenly from behind us we heard lots of yelping. My sisters and brothers were calling out.

"Mother! They found the den! You need to help them!"

"I'm not leaving you alone here!"

"Go! I'm just one pup! Save the others!"

Mother seemed to hesitate. She kissed my head with her snout before turning towards the den.

"Don't show them. I love you."

"I love you too mother!"

With that, she ran off and I turned my attention to the trainer. He threw a pokeball at me, but I swiftly dodged and sent icy wind their way. Gengar was paralyzed and I tackled them. The trainer sighed and sent out glaceon. She sent down ice spears and I dodged. As an ice Pokemon, I decided to converse with her.

"How can you stand to be on the side of a human?!" Icy wind. *not paralized*

"He's a great trainer! You don't understand!" Ice beam. *miss*

"I understand perfectly! They capture you and force you to fight!" Tackle.

I pinned her to the ground and growled loudly. *attack lowered* I jumped off and did an ice beam. *glaceon fainted*. As I backed away, I felt something hit my back. I turned to see the haunting red and white pokeball there. I felt myself getting sucked into it. I struggled and got out of the ball. He threw another and I broke out of that one, too. He used five pokeballs before taking out one that was blue and red. He threw it at me and I got sucked in. I tried to break out like the other times,but after three tries, it locked and I couldn't get out. The top was clear and I saw him come up and pick up my container. I was strapped to a belt on his waist and he started out of the forest. On his backside, I could only paw at the sides of the ball as my home grew smaller and smaller into the distance. Surprisingly, the pokeball was about three times bigger than myself, so it was very comfortable. Curling myself up like I would at the den, I drifted to sleep.
