Eugenie always gets so blissful and excited whenever her grandchildren visit her. Staying home alone with no children playing around makes her feel sad and lonely. To cast away her loneliness, she sometimes goes around the neighborhood and plays with the children in the park and also invites them to her house. Looking at children playing around makes her heart warm.
Eugenie led her grandchildren to the common hall and gestured them to seat on the couches and had their lovely talks. Most of the talks were initiated by Isaac and Eugenie while Evelyn stayed composed and listened to her brother and Nana in anticipation. Evelyn was never a big fan of talking much, but she really likes to listen to people talking.
After some good hours of spending with their grandma's, it was time for Isaac to leave as he has his flight back to Northern in an hour to catch.
"Take care, Little Sis," Isaac said softly and placed a soft kiss on his sister's forehead. "Remember, your brothers are always here for you. If anything happens, you must tell us, alright!" He smiled and cupped her both cheeks.
Evelyn nodded at him with a sad smile and hugged her brother tightly, not wanting him to go. She has never stayed away from her brothers. All her life, she grew up in their presence. And now, it was the time for her to grow up in the absence of her brothers, the very reason she didn't want to study away from home. She and Brian could've gone to the same college, but she decided to stay and do her college in her hometown because she didn't want to leave her brothers. But yet, fate was really stubborn to let her stay away from her brothers and here she is going to start her college away from home.
"I'll miss you all so much," Evelyn said under his chest.
"We'll miss you too," Isaac said softly placing a soft kiss on top of her head. Evelyn pulled away and smiled up at her brother. Isaac returned and cupped her cheek, gently caressing his thumb over her cheek.
"I should go now," Isaac told her softly to which she nodded at him. "Nana, take care, I'll see you both soon." He said in a wide grin before getting inside the car. Soon the driver hit the gas and drove away.
"Your Aunt will be here soon with your college paper works, and she'll take you to your hostel," Eugenie informed sadly looking at Evelyn.
"Don't be sad, Nana," Evelyn said quietly, "I'll come and disturb you every weekend," She added in a jested tone to which Eugenie laughed softly.
"It will be my pleasure to be disturbed by you, my dear," Eugenie said enthusiastically.

It was in the evening and so as said, Caroline came to pick up Evelyn to escort her to the college. Caroline greeted her mother with a warm hug before going to Evelyn. She gazed at her from head to toe with a warm smile and hugged her.
"It's so good to see you after so long, dear," Caroline said softly before pulling away.
"It's good to see you too, Aunt," Evelyn said with a smile.
Caroline and Evelyn exchanged their goodbyes to Eugenie before getting inside the car and driving off.
"These are your documents—" Caroline said placing a file on Evelyn's lap. "Everything is settled. You can start your classes tomorrow." She informed.
Evelyn nodded at her and opened the file and started to go through the academic courses for the first years.
"Your main course subjects will be taught in the second year. First years are mandatory to take all those classes—general classes." Caroline started to explain about the college education system. "The general subjects are—English, Economics, Geography, Physics, Mathematics and History. Other co-curricular activities are Music and Dance classes but it's not compulsory."
Evelyn regarded her Aunt's words before flipping on the next page of the files. She frowned looking at the square box-like a card clipped between pages. She took out the card and started to scanned it.
"What is this?" She asked.
"That's a Special class card. First years are provided with a Special class for an hour—like a private tutorial class with limited students." Caroline informed and looked at her. "I have chosen you the Special Class no. 1—this class is occupied with the most intelligent students, only nine of them."
"Thank you, Aunt," Evelyn said sincerely with a smile.
"We're here," Caroline probed.
Evelyn leaned closer to the window and saw the large black painted Iron Gate slowly opening to them. The car drove smoothly over the asphalt and in some distance, she can see the building—the college building. As the car passed by, she gazed at the college building in admiration. Though it was dark, the electric lights still provide the college to look magnificent and historic. As expected, Outrival College was huge and ancient.
The car pulled over in front of a building, and they got out of it. The driver went around and took out her luggage from the trunk and followed behind them.
"This is the common hall building—" Caroline tells as they stood in the middle of the large living room. "There's Library, dance room, music room, canteen, laundry," She informed as she directed her finger at each of the doors. "And the first floor is the mess hall." She added pointing her finger upwards. Evelyn regarded her words with each nod and gaze around. She saw some students sitting on the couches in the living hall who were already throwing curious glances towards her. She frowned inwardly before ignoring all the existence lurking around the living room.
"This common hall building is a thick barrier between the boys and girls hostel," Caroline told her in an amused smile. "To the left is the boy's territory and to the right is the girls' territory, c'mon let's get you to your room." She added and gestured her to follow her. Evelyn nodded at her and followed behind, the driver mirrored her.
"All your uniforms and books have been kept in your room," Caroline said as they ascended the stairs. They made it to the third floor and walked through the corridor before coming to a dead end in front of a door.
"Alright, this is your room," Caroline said and turned to look at Evelyn. Evelyn gave her a smile before turning towards the door. She read room no. 45 inside her head before turning back to her Aunt. The driver placed her luggage in front of the door and Evelyn thanked him sincerely to which he offered a warm smile before making his way toward downstairs.
"You must be tired. Have a good rest, dear. I'll see you tomorrow—goodnight," Caroline placed a soft kiss on her cheek and waved at her before turning on her heels. "Oh yes," she yelped out of remembrance and turned back, "Curfew after midnight," she informed in an amused smile before walking away.
Evelyn stared at her Aunt's back for some seconds before taking her luggage and pushed the door opened. She strolled inside the room and saw two beds at each corner. She grimaced at the thought of sharing a room with someone—never in her life has she ever shared a room with anyone apart from her brothers. But now she has to deal with all the things going to change around her.
Evelyn placed her backpack on the bed that was not occupied and started to unpack her things and organize them. Like Caroline said, her books were beautifully piled up on her study table and her uniforms were hung beside the bed.
The uniform semblance was a white shirt with both half and long sleeves—all-black blazer—a black pleated skirt with two white borderlines at the hem of it—and a black bow tie. And as for the P.E uniforms—it was a simple white t-shirt and a black short pant.
The bathroom door clicked opened and a girl emerged out in floral printed pajama and a white t-shirt. Her hair was covered with a baby pink towel. She was tall and has a pale skin and naturally rosy cheeks, her eyes were glistening with hazel. And she was very beautiful. Unlike her, Evelyn was some inches shorter and has a regular fair soft skin.
"Hi there," The girl half squealed and offered her a welcoming smile. She has a sharp but calming vocal. "So you are the new girl," She said excitedly and strolled toward her.
"Yeah," Evelyn said in a nod.
"I'm Aaleyah, in short—Ayah." Aaleyah smiled beautifully and extended her hand for a shake. Evelyn took a moment and stared at Aaleyah's hand before accepting the shake.
"Evelyn," She said shortly and pulled her hand away.
"Evelyn, since we are going to be a roommate for a year, why don't we get to know each other?" Aaleyah said and offered her a smile.
Evelyn skeptically tilted her head sideways and regarded Aaleyah in her small stare. She never really had a girlfriend in her whole life. It was always Brian and her since they were five.
"Sure, but I'm afraid you'll find me boring if you get to know me," Evelyn said in a small shrug.
"Don't worry, I like boring things," Aaleyah said in a sweet voice and smile cheekily. Evelyn raised her brows at her before letting out a soft chuckle.
"Ayah!!" The door flew opened and two girls barged into their rooms. Evelyn snapped towards it and narrowed her eyes at those two girls.
"Oh, hey there," One girl chirped on taking notice of Evelyn and made her way towards her while the other girl followed.
"I'm Cornelia and this is Emilia," Cornelia introduced dulcetly.
"I'm Evelyn," Evelyn said.
Cornelia was the tallest among them and her physiques was perfect—she looks like a runway model. Her light brown wavy hair falls on her upper chest and her eyes were as blue as the sky. Emilia was a tad taller than Evelyn. She has a blonde wavy long hair and her eyes were the ocean of green. Evelyn silently regarded them and inwardly appreciated the beauty of the ladies in front of her.
"Evelyn, we're having a party in an hour, why don't you join us?" Cornelia offered.
