William simply stared at him for a moment before laughing softly and shook his head.
"So you're feeling guilty for shouting at her?" William asked amusedly.
Nathan glared at him before rolling his eyes over. "Never mind," He sighed and kept his phone back on the table. Then he sat on his bed and started to rub his towel roughly over his hair, drying it and letting out his frustration over his poor hair.
"Just call and talk to her," William said softly with a sincere smile. Nathan stopped rubbing his hair and looked at him.
"What if she's already asleep?" Nathan pondered.
"She read our group messages just two minutes ago," William said amusedly and showed his phone screen towards him. Wordlessly, Nathan reached for his phone on the table and search for Evelyn's contact number which he saved as 'Grumpy' on his contact list. He pressed on her number and kept it on his ear as he waited patiently for her to receive his call.
"What happened, Nathan?" Evelyn asked right after she received his call.
"Hello to you too," Nathan said and shook his head. Then he cleared his throat awkwardly before continuing to talk. "How are you?" He asked nervously. This was his first time ever talking to her over the phone.
William chuckled heartily at him before turning back to whatever business he was doing. "Damn, I have never seen you being nervous about a thing before," He muttered amusedly under his breath as he simply scrolled down over his phone.
"Nathan, are you okay? We just met some hours ago. Or do you miss me dearly?" Nathan's mouth fell open and gaped at her words.
"Stop playing around," Nathan said quietly. "I just called you to say sorry. I'm sorry for shouting at you earlier, Grumpy. I should have-"
"It's alright. I know you had a rough day today and I just made it worse for you. I'm sorry too," Evelyn interrupted and said. "And thank you for calling, I was wanting to hear your voice, now I can sleep peacefully," She added blatantly making him choked on the air.
"I'm going to sleep now, I"ll see you tomorrow, goodnight," Nathan said quickly.
"Alright, see you tomorrow, goodnight and I love you,"
Nathan was dumbfounded and his mouth fell open once again as he slowly pulled his phone away from his ear and blankly stared at it. He blinked multiple times as he thought about the last three words she just said to him.
"She's unbelievable," He gaped as he continuously brushed his hair with his fingers.
"And you are blushing," William commented amusedly. Nathan turned towards him and gave him a weird look. "What did she say to you that made you blush?" He asked.
"Fuck off, William," Nathan ignored him and quickly curled on his bed, lying on the bed facing the wall.
"Goodnight, Leader," William said amusedly looking at his lying back and reached his hand to turn the lamp off.

Evelyn and Eleanor took their lunches and strolled towards where their friends were seated. They were greeted with smiles as they joined them on the table.
"We're having a national holiday tomorrow followed by the weekend," Emilia informed with a sweet smile.
"Really! Then we can leave for the weekend today," Eleanor chirped happily.
"I have talked with Nathan and he agreed to tag all of us," Evelyn said glancing at her friends at the table.
"Eve," Cornelia said in an apologetic tone, "Mike and I have some plan this weekend," She said sheepishly and blush a little. Beside her, Aaleyah fake clear her throat and gave her a sly look.
"Well then, you enjoy your weekend with your boyfriend," Eleanor said amusedly.
"Talking about Mike, where the hell is he?" Brian asked looking around the canteen.
"His grandparents are here, so he went home to visit them," Cornelia drawled. Evelyn was lost in her own thoughts. She knew Cornelia and Mike are in love with each other but she just can't shake off this suspicious feeling about Mike.
"Hey, guys," Terrence and Russell came beside their table and smiled at them. Evelyn dozed out from her reverie and regarded them with a smile. "Since we're having a holiday tomorrow, we planned on going to the Abyss in the evening, how about you all?" Terrence asked politely.
"We were just thinking the same," Eleanor said cheerfully.
After lunch, Evelyn took her books for the Special class and made her way towards it. She glanced at the Special class 2 door and sighed inwardly thinking about Cornelia who has the same special class with Genesis and Keisha. She chuckled softly in thought when Cornelia told them about their first week in Special class. They always get into fight regardless of Professor's presence who later send them for detention. But now, they simply ignore each other. The same goes for Aaleyah's and Emilia's class too.
Somehow, she was thankful that she is the only girl in her class. That, at least, save her an hour from the glaring eyes of Genesis and her minions, and also, she won't have to take the trouble of dealing with them.
Evelyn entered inside the class and frowned looking at boys- they were only five of them.
"Where are the others?" Evelyn asked in concern as she went and settled on her seat.
"William and Jeffrey went ahead to the Abyss to prepare for the stay," Adrian answered while Evelyn made an apologetic face for troubling William and Jeffrey. "Kevin went home to see his sister and brother-in-law who came home for the weekend." He added with a smile.
"Really! That's nice," Evelyn said cheerfully, "But- wait, will he join us or not?" She asked under her creased brows.
"He'll join us but he'll be late," Terrence said leaning against his seat. "He told us to go without him. He'll be riding his car there," He added and winked at her.
Soon their History Professor entered and started his class.

Mark parked his BMW in front of the common hall building with Russell's Audi R8 and Terrence's black ford mustang parked behind him. He got out from his car and smiled widely looking at the girls but frowned while he didn't notice Evelyn among them.
"Where's Evelyn?" He asked looking at Eleanor.
"She went to visit her grandma after receiving a call some hours ago. She said she'll join later," Eleanor answered.
"Alright, get in," Mark said and gestured them to get inside his car, tilting his head.
"Hey, roommate, ride with me," Russell poke his head out from the window and shouted at Brian.
"Sure," Brian grinned widely before going towards the Audi and getting inside it. "Where are the rest?" He asked as he settled on the passenger seat.
"Some already went ahead and some will join later," Russell answered in a smile before hitting on the gas.
After an hour ride, they reached the Abyss. The girls got out of the car and their eyes went wide in awe looking at the magnificent mansion in front of them.
"Welcome to the Abyss, ladies and gentleman," Terrence told amusedly to which the girls giggled softly under their hands.
"You guys are finally here," Jeffrey said out loud.
"Adrian!" Lucy shouted cheerfully and ran towards him. Adrian smiled widely and lifted her up on his arms and placed a kiss on her cheek.
"C'mon, Lu, we need a hug too," Russell said and fake pouted at her.
"Is Easton here too?" Stephen asked with a chirpy smile and looked at Nathan.
"Yeah, he's playing video games with William," Nathan said and shook his head.
"I see pretty girls this time," Lucy said and smiled adorably looking at Aaleyah, Emilia and Eleanor. "Hi," She waved at them and giggled shyly making the boys chuckled at her while the girls looked at her in complete adoration.
"But I don't see Evelyn, where is she?" Lucy asked under her pout and looked at her brother.
"Evelyn's got some work, she'll come later," Emilia said softly with a smile to which Lucy smiled cheerfully.
"Alright, everyone, let's get inside and settle down first and then we can talk," Jeffrey said as he clapped his hands together and gestured them to get inside.

Kevin glanced at his watch and read 7:30 pm. He was thankful that his mother and sister has finally left him alone and were out to attend a party. But he does feel guilty for leaving his brother-in-law with the ladies. But he didn't have any choice because he has to go to his friends. And he has to get out of here before his father arrived from his own party and forbid him from going anywhere since his sister has come home after a year.
He grabbed his car key from the nightstand and made downstairs but his track stopped at the edge of the stairs, looking at his father who was already home and was now seated on the couch of the living room.
"You seemed to be in a hurry." Elvis monotoned and stood up from the couch. "Where are you going?" He asked looking at his son.
"Nevermind," Elvis sighed while Kevin took his time to answer. "I bet you didn't have your dinner yet since your mother is out. I bought us some chicken." He added reaching for the food parcel over the table. Kevin frowned deeply and slowly walked towards his father.
"But Dad, you don't like chicken. You're allergy to chicken," Kevin said carefully and reminded him. Elvis stared at him like he was being caught but then quickly turned away from his son and cleared his throat awkwardly.
"Just take the chicken and go wherever you were going," Elvis said quickly without looking at his son. Kevin felt awkward too because his dad was acting really weird since the college jubilee.
"Alright," Kevin fiddled and took the chicken from his dad. "I'll be going then," He said under his careful titled head and turned towards the door.
"Are you spending the weekend with your friends?" Elvis asked making him turn to look at him.
"Yes, Dad," Kevin said quietly.
"Alright, enjoy the weekend then," Elvis said quietly looking over his shoulder. Kevin awkwardly nodded at him before turning away and walking towards the door.
"Evelyn, what did you do to my father?" Kevin muttered under his breath in disbelief and quickly got out of the house, making his way to his car. He got inside his car and placed the chicken on the passenger seat. Then he stared at it for a moment before picking it up and opening the box. He chuckled softly looking at the spicy chicken thighs, which was his favourite.
"Forget about chicken allergy, you can't even handle spicy food and yet you bought spicy chicken," Kevin muttered softly looking at the chicken.
A smiled escape his lips knowing that his dad has bought this for him. Amusedly, he kept back the parcel on the seat and started his engine, slowly driving through the driveway and riding off from his home.
Kevin finally reached the Abyss after riding solo for nearly an hour. He took the parcel and got out of the car. He got inside the house and made his way to the kitchen to keep the chicken on the fridge and as he took a step inside the kitchen, he frowned deeply as he watched Emilia screaming and running towards him and embraced him tightly, still screaming under his chest.
"What happened, Emilia?" He asked in concern.
"I'm scared. There's a black cat which appeared suddenly by the window." Emilia said, halfway shouting and halfway shuddering, and tightened her embrace around him. Kevin rolled his eyes over and chuckled softly.
"You're scared of cats?" Kevin asked amusedly. Emilia slowly pulled away from him but then she quickly closed her mouth in shock and looked at him in wide eyes opened as the realization hits her. She just hugged one of the Elite members.
"I'm sorry, Kevin," She said sheepishly looking down on the floor.
"It's alright, Emilia. I don't mind." Kevin said in a smile and walked past by her. He glanced towards the window and saw the cat sitting innocently on the countertop near the window. He chuckled amusedly and strolled towards it.
"Come here, Jackie," Kevin said and lifted the cat on his arms. "You shouldn't scare beautiful ladies, that's a very bad manner," He amused and walked towards Emilia who involuntarily took two steps backwards from him.
"Please, Kevin, I have a bad experience with cats." She begged and gave him a dreadful look. Kevin regarded her for a moment before putting the cat on its feet and gently pushing him towards the backdoor of the kitchen.
"You can relax now, it's gone," Kevin said sincerely. "Wanna have chicken?" He offered casually, gesturing to the box in his hand.
"No, thank you," She rejected politely. He nodded at her before turning towards the fridge and keeping the parcel inside it.
"Where are the others?" Kevin asked as he closed the refrigerator door and looked at her.
"They're by the pool, preparing for the BBQ night," Emilia answered in a smile. Kevin simply wore a smile and openly stared at her. Emilia slightly creased her brows and slowly looked away from him and involuntarily tugged her hair at the back of her ear, looking here and there continuously. She gets nervous and blushes easily when people stared at her for a second longer.
"I think I should go and join them," She said quickly and scurried away from the kitchen.
"She's so cute and innocent," Kevin chuckled softly and shook his head.
