Evelyn entered inside the room and saw Aaleyah busy studying over her study table. She chuckled softly before closing the door behind and walking towards her.

"You're working hard," Evelyn said in a mocking tone and came beside her. She gazed down at her notes and noticed that she was working on maths calculation. "I see you're working on your assignment that due date tomorrow," She said amusedly before going and sitting on her bed.

"How did-"

"I solved the questions for Brian some minutes ago," Evelyn softly interrupted her.

"Oh, you were with Brian," Aaleyah said quietly with a small smile. Evelyn hummed casually and nodded her head.

"We were at the study hall doing his assignment." She said. "If you need help, tell me," She said genuinely as she leaned against her headrest.

"You are just so perfect in everything, Eve," Aaleyah said quietly before going back to her assignment.

"Nobody is perfect," Evelyn said, looking at her. "But you can say that I am imperfectly perfect." She jested making Aaleyah stifled a laugh at her.

Evelyn and her girls reached the football arena and looked for empty spaces to settle down. Luckily, they found some empty space and quickly strolled towards it.

"Thank god, we found ourselves some spot," Cornelia said gazing around the noisy crowd.

"It's going to start," Aaleyah said excitedly as she noticed the players coming out from the entrance.

"NATHAN! NATHAN!!"

Evelyn rolled her eyes over, looking at Genesis and her minions chanting and screaming his name to their right, some distance away from them.

"It's not like he is the only one playing," Evelyn grumbled lazily throwing a bitter glanced towards Genesis and her minions.

"BRIAN! BRIAN!!" Cornelia and Aaleyah began to shout and cheered his name. Evelyn let out a chuckle before joining them. After a while, Emilia joined as well.

After the match, Evelyn parted from her friends and visited the coffee shop as usual. Cornelia and Aaleyah insisted her to stay for the party at the clubhouse thrown by the football club to celebrate their victory but Evelyn simply rejected them.

Evelyn glanced at the watch and read 7:30 pm. It's been three hours since she came. Time seems to run quickly when she comes and stays in here.

"Here's your coffee, dear," Dora said softly, placing the cup over the table.

"Thanks, Dora," Evelyn said with a smile.

"Let me know if you need anything,"

"Sure,"

Evelyn took the cup of her coffee between her palms and gently blew over it before sipping. She then turned her gaze to her left and stared at the night street through the windowpane.

"Would you mind if I join you?"

Evelyn creased at the familiar voice and snapped towards it.

"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the party celebrating your victory?" Evelyn asked under her frown.

"Not in a mood for the party right now," Nathan said in a shrugged before sitting on the chair opposite to her.

"Did I agree with you joining me?" Evelyn deadpanned.

"Doesn't matter," Nathan said quietly. "You were avoiding me the whole week," He said in an upset tone.

"Excuse me, I was minding my own business," Evelyn said bitterly.

"I thought we would get along after what happened in the Orphanage," Nathan said. "But then you're back to being arrogant and grumpy once we returned to college." He added under his sigh.

"Maybe it's the environment around which controls my mood," Evelyn said casually in a shrug.

"I got it that you don't have good terms with our class girls but why avoid me? Is it relevant?" Nathan asked, raising an eyebrow at her.

"Why does it even bother to you if I avoid you?" Evelyn asked crossing her arms over her chest. "It's not like we're close friends- oh wait, we're not even friends at all," She said in a sarcastic tone.

"You talked with all of my friends except me. Tell me why won't I be bothered by it," Nathan said firmly.

Forget about explaining her action towards him, she doesn't even know why she did that from the first place. Maybe she was afraid that something might happen which she never wanted for it to happen.

"Forget it," Nathan sighed tiredly and loosened his tie.

Evelyn frowned and regarded him for a moment before noticing his attire. He was in all black suits. She then drifted her eyes to his face only to see him blankly staring at the street.

"Are you okay?" She asked quietly grabbing his attention to her. "You seemed quite sad." She added looking into his eyes. Nathan simply gave her a sad smile and stared back at her. She could see the hurt and pain through his eyes. This was her first time ever to see him in this state. It pains her to see him in this state and yet she doesn't know why is she feeling in such a way towards him or maybe she knows but is not yet ready to accept it.

"I'm so sorry to break in your lovely eye contacts—" Dora said softly making both of them break their eyes away from each other. "Here is your coffee, Nathan," She said with a smile before throwing a teasing glance at Evelyn.

"Thank you, Dora," Nathan said sincerely.

After the coffee, Nathan offered a ride to Evelyn. Evelyn thought for a second before accepting the ride. After exchanging goodbyes with Dora, they walked out of the shop and made their way to his car.

Evelyn gazed at his black Mercedes, taking some moments of admiring it. She was reminded of the many cars she owned back at home—the cars she won during races.

Once they were settled inside the car, Nathan hit on the gas and drove off. Evelyn silently enjoyed the ride for some minutes until the car took the different route. She creased her brows and snapped towards Nathan.

"I hope you don't have any work at the hostel for now," Nathan said glancing at her.

"Not really, but where are we going?" Evelyn asked suspiciously.

"I need some fresh air." Nathan sighed. "And I could use some company," He prompted giving her a corner glance.

"Should I be honoured or insulted?" Evelyn asked amusedly and jerked an eyebrow at him.

"What! You should be honoured, you know most girls die to be in the place you're sitting right now," Nathan said trying to be casual but yet his expression was still lingering with sadness.

"I'm not most girls," Evelyn said quietly, staring at him.

"I know, that's why you are here with me right now," He said quietly before sparing a soft glance towards her.

Evelyn's eyes went wide for a moment, not knowing in which way to take his words. She could feel her heart going all yippee-yippee and butterflies growing inside her stomach. She quickly looked away from him and try to shook off this foreign feeling inside her. But yet, she doesn't know if she wants to let this feeling go away.

After some minutes, Nathan gradually slowed the speed before killing the engine. Evelyn gasped softly looking at the breathtaking night view of Dublin city through the windshield. Nathan looked at her amusedly before getting out of his car. He leaned against the hood of his car and shoved his both hands in his pant pockets, gazing at the city lights displaying beautifully in front of him.

"This is beautiful," Evelyn came and stood beside him.

"I always come here when I feel like talking to my mom," Nathan said wistfully gazing up at the sky. Evelyn creased her brows and turned to look at him. "Today is her death anniversary." He grimaced.

"I'm sorry to hear about your mother, Nathan," Evelyn said quietly.

"It's alright, it's been two years ago," Nathan said offering her a small smile. Evelyn returned back the smile before settling herself beside him. "My mom and I often come here for stargazing—how she would lecture me about the astrology of each star." He reminisced.

Then they sat there silently right beside each other, gazing up at the beautiful and calming night sky. Evelyn has never felt so much at peace like she was feeling right now. She turned down her gaze at him and stared at him. As she kept staring at him, she realized that she was actually falling for him. She might have realized days back but yet she didn't want to accept it. She tried to keep the feelings from growing which suddenly struck her heart out of nowhere. But now, she doesn't want to stop this feeling from growing.

Nathan gently turned her gaze towards her and found her staring at him. Evelyn smiled at him as she continued to stare without any hesitation.

"You look like you're under some spell," Nathan chuckled softly.

"I guess I am," She smiled widely before looking away from him and landing her gaze back to the night sky.

"Will you be back to being arrogant and grumpy once we get back to college?" Nathan asked amusedly.

"Obviously, that's who I really am. But I'll try my best to be as sweet as I can be to you," Evelyn jested making him chuckled heartily at her.

"You don't have to be sweet, I like the way you are, Grumpy," Nathan said with a sincere smile and gently patted his hand over her head. Evelyn's heart skipped for a moment and looked up at him. "But I do hope that you heal from whatever is broken inside you," He said softly as he continued to pat her head.

Tears slowly formed in her eyes as she sadly looked at him. She then gently removed his hand from her head and looked away from him.

"I'm not a kid." She said quietly before wiping her tears away.

"There's always a kid hidden inside all of us," Nathan said under his sigh as he turned and looked up at the night sky again. Evelyn silently regarded his words and gazed at the night sky as well. Then they spent their silent and peaceful moment for a while before deciding to head back.

*

"Miss me?"

Evelyn creased her brows and turned to look back. She immediately frowned over on encountering Nelson standing some good steps away from her. He was suspended for three weeks due to the illegal act he did back in the clubhouse party and now he was back.

"Welcome back, I guess." Evelyn drawled lazily.

"Because of you, I got three weeks suspended and home grounded. I'll make sure to get my revenge on you." Nelson seethed glaring at him.

"Excuse me, you dare drugged my friend and now you're playing the victim here," Evelyn growled and charged a step forward while Nelson involuntarily took a step back from her out of defence.

"Stay away from me," Nelson quivered, his guts to avenge her disappeared into thin air within a second.

"Gladly, but if you dare try anything funny again, I'm coming for you," Evelyn said cockily and gestured him to get out of her sight. Nelson squirmed in his position and glared at her before scurrying away from the locker hall.

"Coward," Evelyn muttered under her breath before going back to her locker.

After taking her books, she made her way to her classroom and for the first time in her life, she was glad that those drama queens have not yet come for the class. Maybe it is because she came early than usual, leaving her friends behind. She saw Russell already seated in his seat and was busy reading a book. She shook her head before going towards him.

"I see you're early today," Russell told glancing at her.

"It's because I left my friends behind," Evelyn commented before sitting on her seat. "I see you are reading a new one." She added motioning at the book in his hand.

"Yes, I started it last night," Russell said amusedly.

"Probably a mind game book again," Evelyn sighed before drifting her eyes to see the rest of the Elites except Mark, entering but quickly frowned over on noticing the drama queens behind them. She looked away from them and kept her eyes busy staring at the trees near the window.

Once the students settled in their own respective seats, Mr Hamitch entered with a wide warm and happy smile as usual- the students considered it to be his signature style. The girls smiled at him while the boys mirrored his signature smile and threw back at him. The boys almost resemble like him when they do that.

"Goodmorning, class," Mr Hamitch greeted. "We have a new student with us today,"
