Every little girls grow up in the eye of their parents, and they become their parent's sweet little princess but Evelyn grew up differently. She grew up hating her parents. She was only six when her parents divorced. And she and her brothers ended up under the custody of their mother. Her mother was always busy with works and hardly stays home whilst her father's whereabouts became unknown after the divorcement, and he never cared to pay a visit to his children.

Her three beloved brothers were the only reason she didn't run away from home. They looked after her, and she grew up with them. She was broken, hurt and longing for parents love and her brothers somehow filled a small part of such void. Her brothers are the only angels she loves with all her heart.

Evelyn is not like any normal teenage girl who dream to fall in love and make the most beautiful moments out of it. She's rough, tomboyish and has an unruly attitude. She crashed whoever or whatever comes in her way. She can be as bitchy as she can be.

An open book? Absolutely not.

A true friend? She's one ride-to-die friend.

But not every friend stay with us all the time. Afraid of being left alone, she often tends to push people away from her before they do it to her. Her perspective of having a close attachment to other people are not to get too much of attachment with them. True friend is indeed a rare gift to find in this world of fake. But she has got one, her ride-to-die best friend, Brian Wright who is always there for her through every roller coaster ride of her life.

Evelyn stayed inside the principal's office, waiting for her mother to arrive. She tapped her feet on the floor impatiently and stared blankly at the principal who was sitting opposite to her by the table.

"How many times will I tell you not to fight?" Mrs. Evergreen grunted and pinned her with a stern look. Evelyn rolled my eyes over and crossed her arms over her chest, giving the principal a dull expression.

"I don't know. I lose count of it." Evelyn said in a bore tone before turning into an angry bird. "But why am I the only one to get parent's called? I'm not the only one who got involve in a fight, the—"

"After what you did to them, you think they'll be able to stand right now in my office." Mrs. Evergreen cut her off angrily, "For god's sake, they are in hospital now, Evelyn," She sternly spoke to which Evelyn rolled her eyes over and huffed.

She knew what she did, and she made a mistake losing her temper over those dramaqueens. She should have known that they were a professional actress in playing fake roles. She simply threw a soft punch at each of them, and they were all acting like they've been shot by bullets.

"You have a very unruly attitude, Evelyn. I warned you number of times but this time it's out of hand, the parents are complaining and wants to deal with you on their own," She sighed in exasperation.

"Let them come then," Evelyn deadpanned under her sigh, "You care about their complaints but you can't see the bruises on me, don't you? They started it first and attacked me, Principal." She said under her gritted teeth.

The door clicked open and Mrs. Summer strode inside with her usual cold facial expression.

"Good afternoon, Mrs. Summer." Mrs. Evergreen greeted her in a forced smile before gesturing her to sit on the empty seat beside Evelyn. Evelyn glanced up at her mother who was already looking down at her, analyzing her discolored skin on her face.

"What did my daughter do?" Mrs. Summer inquired calmly looking at the principal. Evelyn became furious but wounded at the same time by her mother's questioned, but she didn't let it show. Nobody asked her about the rational motive for why she got caught up in fight because all of them think that she started it first—not even her mother cares to know about the reason behind it. She expected it but it always wounded seeing her mother being so regardless about her.

"Evelyn got involve in a fight and sent three of the girls to hospital. This is not her first time involve but this time things is way out of our controlled, so I had to call you up from your busy schedule," Mrs. Evergreen said in a tone of disappointment. "She acts like a gangster and brawl anyone who comes in her way." She added, glancing a glare towards Evelyn.

"I was defending myself from getting bullied, they were the one who started first," She deadpanned and defended. She knew it was no use pouring her reason out, but she just couldn't stay put while she's the victim here.

"What do you want me to do then?" Mrs. Summer asked pinning the principal with her cold look. Evelyn scowled visibly and glared at her mother.

"The parents are furious about it," Mrs. Evergreen answered in a bit of nervous tone. Mrs. Summer knew what to do then.

"Don't worry about it, I'll pay a visit to the hospital." Mrs. Summers said and stood up from her seat. "Prepare the paper works for transfer. She won't be doing her studies in this college—" She added giving the principal her signature smile—the smile that's indecipherable and very uncanny.

"But Mrs. Summer, you don't have to do that, I was just—"

"I have other plans for my daughter," She interrupted coldly and glare-glanced down at Evelyn. "My Secretary will be here for the paper works tomorrow." She added and strolled out of the office. Evelyn stood up from her position and hung her backpack over her shoulder and walked out of the principal's office.

The moment Evelyn and her mother reached their car, her mother snapped and regarded her in angry expression.

"You know how busy I am. Why do you have to—" Mrs. Summer spoke up in an elevated tone but stop midway when Evelyn ignored her and walked away from her. "Evelyn Summer, where do you think you are going?" she growled in a low voice.

"Why do you care where I go?" Evelyn turned and asked bitterly.

"Don't forget I'm your mother," Mrs. Summer said in a stern voice.

"Are you? Since when did you start to act like one?" Evelyn prompted, shoving her arms in the air. Her mother remained silent and regarded her with a cold look. "I'm very sorry for disturbing your busy money making schedule." She said sarcastically and turned, walking away with heavy steps.

Evelyn went to the park and sat on her regular spot, the wooden bench beautifully placed over the green grass on the garden. She always visits the park to clear her mind and watch the children playing around with their parents which always leaves her in nostalgic feeling. This is the only moment she let loose of her emotion once in a day before going back to being tough. After all she's a human, and she gets tired too. Keeping everything inside her was what she's been doing for the past twelve years, and she's a very good keeper. But sometimes, it becomes unbearable so to ease her heavy heart, she goes for the street and fight her emotions out.

Later in the evening, Evelyn got home and headed to her room directly. She then walked inside her bathroom and took a long warm shower. After the shower, she walked out of the bathroom and sat on the bed, rubbing her damped hair with the help of her towel.

"Let me do it," She heard her brother chancing and removed the towel from her head to see her brother standing in front of her.

Jeremy smiled down at her and took the towel from her hand. He placed it over her hair and gently rubbed over her hair.

"You have a lovely hair, little one. You should rub it gently or it will form lots of split ends." Jeremy said softly. Evelyn slowly tuned her gaze down and hugged her brother over his stomach.

"I'm always here for you, Eve." Jeremy said in an untoughened tone as he continued to dry her hair. "Your brothers are always here for you. You can share us everything,"

"I know," Evelyn whispered softly and closed her eyes, feeling calm and soothe from her brother's caressing her hair. Though she loves her brother so much, she has never shared them anything about what she feels, but they understand her without a word and always comforts her. She finds it very difficult to open up with anyone and always tends to stuff everything inside her.

Jeremy hung the towel on the stand beside the bed and shift slightly before kneeling in front of his sister. He scanned her face and saw the light bruises on her face.

"You fought again," He tells looking in her eyes to which Evelyn turned her gaze down and remained silent. "Who did this to you?" He demanded but softly.

"Tell me what happen, Eve. It always hurts to see when you come home with bruises. Stop being so hard on yourself, please tell me or Isaac or Aaron. Your brothers are always here for you." Jeremy said softly but in an urge tone and cupped her both cheeks.

"I'm absolutely fine, Jeremy." She said quietly and smiled at him.

"No, you're not," a sharp male's voice echoed inside her room, and they both turned towards the door.
