Ash's pov

I just challenged Summer, the Luna of the Nine, and I have no clue exactly why. I could either die, get seriously injured, or become the new Luna of our pack. Deep down, I want to hurt her enough for that I would win. Only problem is that I'm not a violent person, I barely even pinch or flick anyone.

So here we are, me and Summer, in the front yard of the pack house. Everyone watching us, eyes keeping an eye on what will happen. What will happen? Will she kill me? Or put me in a wheelchair? Or just not hurt me that much?

Alu started talking, "Luna Summer, Beta Diamond--"

"It's Ash." I growled.

"--one on one for the rank of Luna. If Luna Summer wins, then Ash must become the omega or be thrown out of the pack. If Beta Ash wins, Summer must become Beta or Omega, or become a rogue." Alu finished, growling out the word "rogue".

"You are so going to go down, little Beta." Summer hissed.

I rolled my eyes. She can't be serious!

Suddenly, I'm tackled to the ground, my head being pound into the dirt.

"If only your human family was here, to watch this." Summer growled, lifting me up by the throat. "But sadly, they are in the hospital!" She laughed.

Did she just say what I think she said?

I started clawing at her arm, making it bleed, just to get some air. "What do you mean?" I asked once she dropped me, her arm bleeding slightly.

"I almost killed them, your sisters and mother and your father. That brunette was pretty brave to protect the tiny blonde." She snickered.

"What did you do to them!" I screamed at her. No one should be able to hurt my family!

I could feel my wolf wanting to take control, just to calm me, but I wouldn't let that happen. Not yet, not ever. And so, I pinned Summer to the ground, pounding her head in, not caring if I'll kill her or not. She had hurt my god damn family! That is not something I can live with, the fact I couldn't help them. That this little bitch had injured them. My family. I will kill her. I will end her fucking life for hurting the ones I love!

"Ash! Stop!" I heard someone, most likely Alu or Dylan, yell.

Suddenly, I'm yanked away from Summer. My wolf trying her best to stop me from hitting anyone else, which she succeeded in.

"She's barely breathing, and has lost a lot of blood." I heard Tobias mutter.

"Ash, you almost killed her." I heard someone whisper in my ear.

"Beta Ash is now Luna Ash, which means Dylan is also Alpha. Delta, you can choose what rank you want for you and Summer." Alu said.

"Me and Summer will be Omegas, my mate is too crazy to become Beta." Delta said, nodding towards the girl lying on the ground.

I had beaten her to a bloody pulp, and it felt good to actually hurt her. Only her. She had hurt my family, the people that I have to help protect. She fucking hurt my little sisters!

Suddenly, my wolf takes over. She makes me curl into a ball in Dylan's arms, whining like a puppy.

Dylan's pov

Ash has made us the alphas, and she almost killed Summer. What happened? Now she's curled up in a ball in my arms, sounding like a puppy who did something wrong.

I stood up, Ash in my arms, and walked inside. I carried her up the stairs, into our room, and dropped her off on the bed. She then goes under the covers, hiding from the world.

"What have I done?" I heard Ash say, but it's not her exactly.

"You've made us the Alphas, and probably placed Summer in the hospital." I said, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"That's what Ash did, not me." She said.

"What?"

She then uncovered her head and looked at me. Her eyes were icy blue, which meant it was her wolf talking. Not her.

"Ash almost killed Summer, and I tried to stop her but failed. Thank you for getting her away from Summer that fast." She said.

"It was no problem." I stated.

"Ash really doesn't like it when I take control, even if she can't help letting me out. She loves that she can shift, and that you and her are mates, but she doesn't like the idea of me being around."

"Why is that?" I asked.

"I don't know. She won't tell me anything, except that I shouldn't be out very often."

And with that, Ash is back, and tears are in her dark blue eyes. She stands up and stomps right out of the room, I could hear her heavy footsteps go down the stairs then a door being slammed. I raced after her. Ash may be pissed off as all hell but she won't hurt anyone, unless they get in her way.

Ash's pov

My wolf fucking took over! I may be still pissed at Summer, but my wolf taking control isn't good for me. I could feel tears streaming down my face, my vision blurry, as I run into the forest. Where no one should find me for a while.

I shift into my white wolf right as I make it to the edge of the tree line that surrounds the pack house. The sound of my paws thudding against the forest ground, the feel of wind in my pearly white fur, and my vision no longer blurry. I'll stay in this forest for as long as I can, or until I have to go back to everyone else. My pack.

My new family, until I get to see my parents and sisters again. But for now, the pack is all I have, or so I thought.
