8: She Meets Her Alpha
Ash's pov
Once I got onto the highway, my phone buzzed with a text. Dylan grabbed it, looked at the text, and the look on his face wasn't one of joy, but of concern.
"Who texted?" I asked.
"Alu, she has a surprise for us back at the house and said that we have to get back there." Dylan said, turning my phone off and putting it back into the center console. I growled a little at that, and it seemed like Dylan didn't hear it.
I turned off of the highway, got back onto the highway on the side that goes back home, and drove. What's the surprise? Is it good or bad? Why did Alu send us off just to drag us back? A million questions popped into my head as I drove down the highway, passing cars and going over the speed limit. Whatever this surprise is, it better be a good one, or I will hurt that chic.
Once I pulled up to the pack house, I noticed a car that wasn't there before. We hopped out and headed towards the house, there was a couple new scents, which means that there's a couple new people here. Dylan opened the door and walked him, me right behind him.
"Isn't this nice? All of us here, together?" A guy with blondish hair said, a smile plastered to his face.
"Diamond and Jason are finally here." A brunette girl said, growling at the mention of what I was called back then.
"Do not call me that." I growled, the way this girl said that name made me feel unequal. In this pack, we should all be equal, no one above another.
The brunette stood up from the love seat and walked towards me, her wavy hair bouncing with each step. I could sense power radiating off this girl, like she was much more powerful than anyone else, and her scent was like the changing of seasons. Once this girl was in my face, she lifted my chin to get a better look at my face, then inspected my neck. She grunted in approval and walked over to Dylan, doing the same to him, which made me growl lowly at her.
"How dare she touch what is ours!" I heard someone say in the back of my mind. I shrugged it off and glared at the girl.
"Yep, definitely is Diamond and Jason. Now, why don't you go get your Luna, who is me, a glass of water?" She told me, making that simple request an alpha demand.
"Get it yourself, girly." I hissed, heading towards the stairs.
Everyone just looked at me, astonished, while Dylan just smirked. The bossy alpha girl then growled lowly, walking over to me, and grabbed a chunk of my hair. She then dragged me by the hair into the kitchen and repeated her demand, using the full alpha demand thing.
"Get it yourself." I stated, walking out of the kitchen and into the front room.
"Ms. Beta female has some sass!" The blonde boy said, smiling.
"I don't listen to little bossy Lunas who think they are better than everyone else, let alone everyone in this house." I then laid down on the armchair, my feet hanging off the armrest.
"I'm Delta, the Alpha. You are Diamond, right?" Delta, the blonde boy, asked me.
"The name's Ash, not Diamond, and nice to meet you." I said, my eyes closed.
"The girl who was demanding you to get her a glass of water is my mate, Summer. Her name corresponds with the seasons." Delta told me.
"So then you guys are the alphas of the Nine?" I questioned, lifting my head up to look at Delta.
"Yes, we are the alphas." Delta said, shrugging like it was no big deal.
"My mother is insane. She can't demand a beta to do anything, since they are equal in everything except rank." Alu said, growling at the last part.
Autumn, or should I say Summer, came out of the kitchen with a cup of ice water, walked over to me, and poured the whole glass onto my stomach. I stood up, glaring at her.
"What the hell was that for?!" I yelled in her face.
"For not doing an alpha's command. Now, go get me some more water." She said, shoving the glass into my chest.
I growled at her, a full on growl. Everyone was staring at us. Summer growled back, obviously not liking how I'm not obeying her, and then she pinned me against the wall by my throat. I managed to kick her in the knee and she dropped me.
"I, Luna Summer, now challenge you, Beta Diamond." Summer growled lowly.
"I accept your challenge, Luna Summer." I said 'Luna' with venom and distaste.
Everyone gasped, staring at us. I just accepted a challenge from an alpha, my own female alpha.
We all walked outside.
