Ash's pov

"I gotta go somewhere, see you two later!" With that, Alu left me and Dylan alone in the cave.

I poked Dylan with a stick a few times, we didn't really have anywhere to go so then we decided we could do something that we couldn't really do around others, or we could look for whatever's left of The Nine.

"I could try to shift?" Dylan recommended suddenly.

"Okay."

Dylan then went outside of the cave, leavin his shirt and jeans with me, and then I hear him yelp in pain and a few pops. A black wolf comes and sits on my lap, snuggling it's head under my arm. The wolf barked, knocked me over onto my back, and started to growl in my face. One second this wolf is nice, the next it wants to kill me!

I notice the wolf's eyes, the same eyes that Dylan has. "Dylan?" I asked the wolf, fear laced in my voice. It stopped growling but it held that scowl on its face.

The wolf's eyes then widened and it ran to the mouth of the cave. The wolf then curled up into a ball of black fur, whimpering a bit. I crawled over to it, and started to pet the poor wolf.

I kept by the wolf's side until I passed out, when the sun was coming up.

Dylan's pov

I had gone out, stripped, and shifted. It was easier than I thought, but very painful. Once I was in wolf form, I went back into the cave and sat in Ash's lap, keeping her arm warm. I could tell that she was happy because she was smiling, even though I could tell that it wasn't obvious to her.

I suddenly pinned her down, and growled. So not like me, at all.

"Dylan?" Ash asked, fear in her voice and eyes.

I made myself stop growling, even though it was really hard. When I finally gained control of my body again, I ran to the mouth of the cave curled up into the tightest ball I can as a wolf. I then felt someone petting me. I just stayed there, curled up in a ball as a wolf.

Hours went by. I finally uncurled myself and noticed that Ash had her head on me, and she was asleep. I carefully got out from under her head and went back outside, I shifted back to human and got my clothes back on, except my shirt because I heard whimpering from inside the cave.

I went back in, shirtless, and saw Ash was awake but theres was some kind of wolf pinning her down, trying to bite her throat. I ran over to them, got the wolf off Ash, and managed to pin it down. Why was this wolf trying to kill Ash? I thought. Right then, I noticed the wolf's eyes, red like blood. What happened to this wolf to make it's eyes go red?

I was pulled back to reality when I was shoved to the ground. I noticed there was a white wolf, standing between me and the red eyed wolf. They were growling at each other, the white wolf looked like it was about to rip the other wolf to shreds.

The red eyed wolf pounced, aiming for the white wolf's neck. The white wolf dodged and clamped it's mouth onto the throat of the red eyed one, the smell of blood in the air. The white wolf lost grip and was thrown against the rock wall of the cave, the red eyed wolf then started stalking towards me. A flash of white and the white wolf had the red eyed wolf by the throat, blood oozing out of the red eyed wolf's neck and the life seeping away from it's eyes. Once the white wolf was satisfied, it let go of the red eyed wolf's lifeless body and walked over to me.

The wolf checked if I was alright, inspecting every inch it could see. It then licked my face, obviously happy.

"Thank you?" I said, but it turned out more of a question.

The wolf only nodded, then it went over to a pile of torn clothes. Thats when I noticed that Ash wasn't around here. Maybe she ran when I got that wolf off her? No, Ash wouldn't do that.

The white wolf then took my shirt from where i dropped it and ran out of the cave. That was my favorite shirt! I ran after the wolf but somehow I had lost it. I heard some pops a few feet away, I ran back to the cave to grab some kind of weapon but when I got there, Alu was there with some girl.

"Stupid rogue!" The girl yelled, kicking the dead wolf.

"Where's Ash?" Alu asked me.

"I'm right here." I heard from behind me.

I turned around and saw Ash in only my shirt. She looked like she was in pain and her eyes were a icy blue color, weird. Very Weird.

"Are you guys okay?" The girl asked, wrapping the dead wolf in some kind of fabric.

"Dylan's fine, I'm not sure about myself." Ash almost whispered, swaying a little side to side.

I walked over to her and wrapped one arm around her waist to keep her standing.

"Ash, why are you only wearing my shirt? Where did your clothes go?" I questioned her.

She simply rested her head on my shoulder and groaned in pain. Her left hand was resting on her head and she groaned again, her eyes squeezed shut.

"What saved you guys from the rogue?" Alu asked, smirking.

"A white wolf appeared out of no where and killed a red eyed wolf that was trying to kill me and Ash, but when the white wolf killed the red eyed wolf Ash wasn't here." I said, pulling Ash a little closer to me.

"Did either of you guys shift?" Alu asked, that smirked plastered on her face.

"I shifted, not for long though." I admitted.

"Dylan, did you see Ash shift?"

"I didn't see Ash shift, I was occupied with a wolf that was trying to kill us!" I snapped.

"Ash, did you shift?" The girl asked Ash.

Ash nodded. She nodded... That means she did shift! I stared down at her.

"It must have been Ash who killed that wolf, to protect you. Her eyes are icy blue because her wolf had to take control to save your butt, and it explains why she's wearing your shirt." Alu explained, smiling like a psycho.

I slowly sat down, Ash in my lap. Alu and the girl dealt with the dead wolf and then came over to us, coaxing Ash to get off my lap but she just ignored them.

"She's in pain. Leave her be." I growled at Alu and the girl. Yes, I mean "growled" like a wolf growls.

"Go ahead and take her home, she needs to rest then." Alu reluctantly said.

"Make sure she gets better!" The girl said quickly.

I stood up and picked up Ash. We all walked out of the cave to the cars that were parked just outside the forest. I placed Ash in the back seat and got into the driver seat. Alu got into her car with the girl and we all drove home, where me and Ash live. After high school, me and Ash decided to move in together and we both go to college so then we got a house that our college pays for.

We got home and I parked the car in the driveway. I got out and saw that Alu had already grabbed Ash and was by the front door. I quickly opened the door and ushered them inside, I took Ash from Alu and brought her into her room. Yes, we have separate rooms even though we are a couple.

When I got back to the living room, where Alu and the other girl was, I heard them whispering and just went to my room. Too much has happened in so little time. Me shifting, a red eyed wolf trying to kill us, and Ash shifting.

I layed down in my plush bed and eventually fell asleep. A dreamless, deep sleep.

Ash's Pov

The last thing I remember is the taste of blood and a red eyed wolf. My head is pounding like mad and I'm in nothing but one of Dylan's shirts. What the hell happened?!
