Prolouge

A pale white dragon was struggling through the snowdrift, trying not to lose her valued cargo. The mountains seemed endless, and for where Snowstorm was going, they were only going to get more improbable.

Snowstorm was determined to get to the mountains, but her limbs were screaming in pain. 'Just a thousand more steps to go...' Thought Snowstorm. Through gritted teeth, she repeated the same sentence over and over, fighting against her aching bones.

She made her way through the snowy peaks, taking short (but long in her opinion), breaks. Snowstorm knew that the last step was to get past the Outland guards, which was going to be very easy on one condition.

Snowstorm came up behind one of the guards and said, "Hello, Tavern." The guard turned around with wide eyes.

"Your Majesty!" Gasped the guard. "What are you doing so far from the palace?" The other IceWing grunted. This soldier had a long scar running along one arm, probably from fighting a SkyWing.

"Oh, just something I decided I needed to do. Now let me through." Snowstorm motioned to the father area that the soldiers were blocking.

They both looked at each other and moved back letting her through. The one with the scar looked at her as if he wished she wasn't there. But Snowstorm shook the look off and flew into the icy air.
                                                    ...
Snowstorm was thinking about why she'd even gone on this exhausting journey anyway. 'It's just for the egg. It's just for the egg.' Snowstorm was trying to find a way to get the egg somewhere away from her. No one was safe with her. Not even, and especially her own dragonet.

Snowstorm was torn between leaving her dragonet and keeping her. But Snowstorm was sure that she had chosen to leave her.
...
Snowstorm had almost reached her destination. The Snowy Deep was just within range. The Snowy Deep was a large canyon filled with 6-feet deep snow. "Just the place for my egg," said Snowstorm.

Snowstorm landed on the crunchy snow, sinking slowly but surely about a foot deep. She looked around, to see if anyone was there, but the canyon was empty.

'Okay,' thought Snowstorm, 'I can do this.' She pulled out her egg and dug a hole in the snow. Slowly, she rolled the egg into the hole. "There you go little egg." She whispered. Then she waved her talon and the snow swirled around and neatly filled the newly dug hole.

"This is for the best." Snowstorm whispered to herself. "She'll find a home better than here."

Two Days Later...

"The egg meets the description of the prophecy completely!" Said Gellis. "I know," groaned Nightroar, "That's the problem."

"I said it might be the Ice Queen's egg! I can't be sure!" Exclaimed Gellis.

"It's the only egg that fits the prophecy, there can only be five dragonets," said Searing, "We already have the other prophecy dragonets, this is the final one."

"Then we must keep them away from the Ice Queen." Explained Beluga, "That was our original plan anyway."-

Beluga was almost interrupted by a crackling sound. "The eggs are hatching!" Said Fennec. The IceWing egg was wiggling, and it was cracking open.
...
The baby IceWing was surrounded by five humongous dragons. "It's hatched!" Exclaimed the light blue dragon.
"It's more purple than I thought it was going to be." Said the sandy yellow dragon.

"Ark?" The baby dragon squeaked. "We have to give it a name." Said the dark smokey gray dragon.

"How about Snowskull? It's unique." Said the orange dragon.

"That's a great way to put it." Said the yellow dragon, "But it's the name we have. Hello, Snowskull. Welcome to the Protectors of Resistance."
