"Luffy! Have you finished your meal?" Shuli take a look at his plate and it was finished clean with no grain of anything being left behind.

"Yep! I finished all of them!" Luffy grinned at his sister who just wiped his mouth with a serviette. "At this rate, you'll get big Luffy."

Then the door was opened, Shuli hoped to be shanks but it turned out to be the bandits from a few days ago.

Her eyes widen and looked at Luffy with her -- squinting at him. "Luffy, don't say anything okay?"

"Makino-san I'll help you!" She got ready to serve the booze that they have. With no ounce of respect, she was getting, Shuli was shoved by them but managed to be light on her feet.

Once everything was served, the bandits started their ridiculous sayings about shanks and his crew.

"You see the looks on those pirates' faces?! He got covered in booze but didn't say a goddamn word! Talk about pathetic!" One of the bandits spoke out to his leader.

"Pirates are just a bunch of wimps so they're all bark but no bites."

"STOP IT!"

"Luffy! What are you doing!" Shuli went to him and tried to shut him up but was a failed attempt. "Makino-san please help!"

"Stop making fun of shanks and the others!" Luffy angrily scolded them while Makino was trying to make him stop getting him into trouble. "They are not wimps!"

"Stop, Luffy!" Makino scolded the rubber boy.

"Stop making fun of shanks and the others! You stupid bandits!!!"

"One of you guys... Grab the boy and teach him a lesson that he'll never forget. Let's go to another place to teach him a lesson." The bandit leader ordered one of them as they almost grab the boy with force but Shuli won't let that happen on her watch.

She took a pocket knife and waved it from the bandit who got caught in the slash.

"OW! You fucking brat!"

"Get her too, give her a lesson to not mess with the adults when they are talking."

Both of them were being grabbed by the bandits, Luffy tried to bite the bandit who tried to grab Shuli but got caught and punched before he could even do it.

"You dickheads are gonna regret doing that to Luffy!" Shuli deathly glared at the leader before her hair was grabbed harshly and dragged outside to teach them a lesson.

Once they were there, Shuli got harshly thrown onto the well's bricks along with Luffy. "Apologize to us brats." The leader looked down on them while Luffy looked at Shuli with worry but stared angrily at the leader.

"You shitheads should apologize to shanks and his crew! You guys only loiter around like parasites while shanks have a cool ship! So apologize to them!" Shuli shares the same anger with Luffy but she should know she is supposed to do the opposite action, right now she feels infuriating.

"Apologize to shanks, you stinky bandits!" Luffy snarled at them and the leader who got enough of them stepped on Luffy's head but before he could do anything, Shuli hugged Luffy tight making sure he doesn't get injured by them.

"Oi brat! Stay away from that other brat!" He stomped on Shuli's head towards the wall of bricks like it was nothing.

"Shuli!! Are you okay?!"

"I-im okay." Shuli managed to speak out a few words, she doesn't try to pull away from Luffy as her body was slightly wider than Luffy's.

"No one has ever made me mad and live to tell the tale." The bandit leader grasped on his sword's handle to pull it out.

"Wait! Please!" The mayor of the town came to the scene. "Please! Let them go! I don't know what the both of them did but please, those 2 are just kids! I'll pay you to let them go!"

The mayor then drop to his knees and bowed his head to the ground. "Just spare them both please!"

"What are you doing mayor!" Shuli coughed before looking at them both.

"Shuli my goodness! Your head is bleeding!"

"Sis your head..." Luffy looked terrified at the sight of it. "I'll be okay, don't ever let go of me until we're safe."

"Leave it to senior citizens to know how to the world works huh? But never, it's too late for them anyway. After all, that boy made me angry and that girl belittled me first time I came in." The leader unsheathed his sword.

Shuli's eyes widening at what would happen next made her instinct go haywire, she blocked every potential injury that could conflict on Luffy was blocked by her body.

"You're the bad guys! You guys are a bunch of mountain apes!" Luffy screamed at them.

"Luffy, I would appreciate if you could not make things any worse but you're right." Shuli inhaled all the courage she can and spat her words. "You guys are a bunch of mountain trash." The seriousness in her face was there, she already had planned on how to get out of here already to call some help from an adult.

"Both of you guys are a lost cause. You both can regret all this in the next life!"

"Luffy!"

"Please both of them are just kids!"

"I was wondering why the bar is empty, I can see why now." A familiar voice came to the scene of execution. "Looks like it's those mountain bandits from before."

"Captain!"

"Shanks!"

The girl who always greeted the captain back, stayed quiet. She couldn't let Luffy go or her guard down because they were still in the enemy's range.

"Shuli? Luffy? You guys are always in trouble, Luffy don't drag your sister into this everytime you get into trouble." Shanks smile at them before realizing a ooze of blood came from shuli's head.

"Welcome back... Uncle shanks." She smiles at him making the scene even worse for them.

"Have you been cleaning the village since you guys are still here?"

"Luffy, I thought your punches are like pistols?"

"S-shut up!"

"I don't know why you're here, but best for you to leave before you get hurt. Any closer and you'll lose your head." The bandit warned him but once shanks noticed the condition of both are worse. He was no longer smiling.

The gun was aimed right beside shanks's head. "He said don't come close, don't make me blow your brains off." The underling taunted shanks.

"You put your life in the line." Shanks talked back.

"Huh?!"

"Now that you've drawn your pistol, put your life on the line."

"The fuck you talking about?"

With a crazed look on shanks expression made it clear of what he's tryin to do to them. "I'm saying those guns aren't for threatening people."

Before anything was done, Lucky roux was there to pull the trigger without any noises made.

Everyone was shocked at what just happened.

The kids can't do anything but to only watch a life taken away. The dirty deed was commenced.

"Now you've done it!"

"You pirates are playing dirty!"

"Dirty? Cut the bullshit. What do you think you're dealing with saints or something?" Benn Beckman lit up his cigarette and exhaled the smoke.

"You guys are looking at pirates!"

"Shut up! You guys got nothing to do with in the first place!"

"Listen bandits...whether I'm splattered with food or alcohol or even spit on, most of the I'd just laugh it off and not paying attention to it but no matter the reason, anyone who hurts my friends has to pay!" Shanks was no longer looked like the friendly captain that Luffy and Shuli looked up too and played with.

"Shanks.."

The bandit leader laugh at his speech. "Has to pay huh!? Lousy pirates! Kill them all bandits!"

The fighting between them started, only Benn came forward only with his gun. "I'll handle this, it looks easy." Not even firing his gun but he chooses to beat them with the handle of the gun.

"So cool..." Luffy muttered before looking at shuli, seeing how badly her shape is. "Sis! It's okay! We're safe!" The sight of his beloved sister was enough to break his heart seeing how weak he was but shuli understand that both of them are nothing but a child.

"If you wanna fight us, then go drag a warship or something." Benn finished the fight and aim the pistol at the bandit leader.

"H-hold on! The kids attacked us first!" He spouted.

"You are a wanted man." Shanks finally spoke but never smiling to see how dire the situation is seeing one of them got injured pretty badly.

"Damn it!" The bandit leader screamed and threw what it looked like a smoke bomb to the ground as he took both kids with him.

Shuli never once let Luffy go until both of them are safe. "You fucking brats, let that boy go or I'll kill you both!"

"Wanna fucking kill Luffy?! Than you gonna have to go through me first!" She snarled at him.

The bandit started to take a boat and row it to the sea. "Fine by me! Don't ever regret that your life will end because of defending some kid!"

The bandit managed to separate the both of them with his strength and threw Luffy in first. "Luffy!"

"Sis!" He groggled and Shuli with no ounce of waiting for the bandit to throw her, she jumped to the sea and swam to Luffy.

"It's okay Luffy! I'm here!" The dark-green haired girl act as a life buoyant. Knowing he doesn't have the ability to swim thanks to devil fruit he ate few days ago.

"Die you fucking kids." He aimed the Glock that he stole from one of his men.

"You're the one who's gonna die! I'll beat you up for harming shuli!" Luffy snarled at the man.

"Luffy! Close your eyes!"

"You're in a death row kid!" Before he could shoot, the sea started to vibrant very violently. There came a large creature emerge from the vast of sea, before any screams could exchange. The bandit leader was eaten by the sea creature.

"Luffy! Whatever you do, don't open your eyes until I say it's safe!" She coughed and began to mutter what Luffy thought was a prayer.

"Come on! Work already!" Shuli screamed at her legs trying to get her legs to do something.

Her actions are not fast as the creature went vastly fast at them.

Before anything could happen, shuli tried to swim as fast as she can either to dodge or to outrun but either is impossible. She's not strong enough to do anything yet but someone managed to get them just by thin hair.

"W-who..." Shuli's eyes slowly opening to see who they're saviour was and saw that the red haired colored her view, she knew who it was.

"S-shanks.." Luffy opened his eyes and saw he still smiling down at them before looking at the sea monster menacingly.

"Get lost..." He told the creature.

The tension and power that shanks has was familiar to someone. "Uncle...shanks."

The power that he holds and forward it to the creature was a sight to see. The sea monster immediately cowered and swam away deep to the abyss.

Luffy and Shuli started to cry towards to shanks seeing the outcome of their actions.

"Thank you both, Makino-san told us that Luffy defended us and you joined too to not let Luffy discouraged his actions." He smiled so kindly towards them but both of them just cried even harsher.

"Hey, don't cry! You're a man y'know! You have to be strong." He laughed.

"B-but uncle shanks...!"

"Y-your arm!"

"It's only an arm. It's no big deal... It's a small price to pay." Once again that ounce of kindness and relief that both of them and still breathing. "I'm glad that both of you are okay."
