One

Taehyung looks down at his boyfriend's body, not moving and not breathing— not that he was breathing in the first place. Yoongi was a vampire just thirty minutes ago, but now, he's actually gone— not alive for real.

He's frozen as Jimin starts to beg Hoseok for whatever reason. Begging him to go to his grandmother, begging him to talk her into saving Seokjin, who is also lying in his chair, completely dead as well.

Two dead people. Best friends.

Taehyung's boyfriend.

He simply stares down at the wooden patio, not caring to look at Yoongi or anyone else anymore. He can't find it in himself to beg like Jimin is doing. It's too much to handle.

"Please, Hoseok."

The air goes silent, none of the remaining five speaking. Jungkook is sat down, looking away just like Taehyung is, and Namjoon is sitting down with his hands covering his face.

Jimin stands in between Hoseok and Taehyung, trying his damndest to talk Hoseok into saving them somehow.

And though Taehyung thought that it was all over, that he has lost his lover yet again, Hoseok sighs out in defeat.

"Shit. Fine," he lets out. Taehyung looks up at him only then, eyes widening a bit. "I'm not sure if she'll be able to just save them like that, but she may can do something," he says, talking about his grandmother— a witch. A which who can save their friends.

Before Taehyung knows it, Jimin is quick, hustling over to Seokjin's body and lifting him, then eyeing the rest of them as if to ask them what the hell they're waiting for.

Taehyung doesn't want to lift Yoongi's dead body. How could he ever?

But there's a bit of faith in him still, though he's tried to revive Yoongi in a past life and it didn't work. He knows the pain that Jimin is going through and he knows that things may not play out how they want them to, but it's been years and years since Taen had died— since he had marked Taen.

Maybe there's a new trick, a new type of magic that has been discovered since then. Maybe she can bring them back now, though she couldn't all those years ago.

So, they all gather up and make their way to Hoseok's grandmother, not a single word coming from anyone except for Jimin, who keeps mumbling things to Seokjin's blank face and wiping the blood off of him.

Taehyung held onto Yoongi, but it didn't feel right. The stillness from Yoongi was too loud. The thin line of hope versus grief was too suffocating.

When they got to the little house that Hoseok led them to, Jimin was the one to speak to the woman who answered the door, not even letting Hoseok try to explain anything.

Jimin explains their situation to her and she frowns at all of the boys, then her eyes land on Hoseok. Hoseok has tears in his eyes still and she can see that— they all can.

"Is there any way you could help us?" Namjoon finally speaks up, his voice dry, yet steady.

The older woman sighs, then opens her door wider. "There is a way." She looks up at Taehyung. "You." She takes a look at Yoongi in his arms and purses her lips together. "I can try my best, but this young man right here, I may have a problem with."

Taehyung frowns at her. "Why?"

  She ignores the question.

She lifts her hand and urges them to come into her home. The place is nice and cozy, filled with antiques, and she pulls out chairs for the two lifeless bodies to be settled down on. They put Yoongi and Seokjin down, then watch as she examines them.

"Hmm," she hums as she looks at Seokjin. "You know, with what little magic and vampire blood I've got, I've been able to live for years and years. I know that there's a way to bring him back, but..." She turns to Yoongi and Taehyung's spirit drops.

"But what?"

She examines him for a little too long as if she's reading him.

"I can do it, I believe." But she hums to herself, a hand on her hip as she still looked at Yoongi. "He's going to be a little difficult, though. I'm not so sure about him. But Seokjin-ssi won't have any problems."

Taehyung's shoulders drop. "Why is there a problem with Yoongi and not him?"

Hoseok steps forward. "I think it's because of how recently magic has been used on him. The magic was still settling in as he... Yeah. It's not a bad problem, hopefully. He may just be ill or something once he's back. Magic is never really predictable— not this kind."

"So can you do it?" Jimin asked.

The older woman nodded. "Anything for my Seok's happiness." She smiled up at Hoseok, who smiled back at her. "Besides, it wouldn't be the first time I've used magic on him," she said as she looked down at Yoongi.

Taehyung let his head drop.

"Just go settle down on the couch, lovelies. I'll be done in about an hour." She waved her hands to the boys, urging them to leave the room.

It didn't feel good, leaving Yoongi like that, and Taehyung knew that magic was always something to be cautious around, so he was. He took one good look at Yoongi before he finally disappeared into the living room with the other boys.

They didn't stay there long, though, a weird feeling settling in their stomachs. Instead of sitting in the house and listening to the woman work her magic, they decided to go outside for fresh air.

Jimin curled over onto the walkway up to the door and let out a relief of a laugh. "Fuck."

Jungkook sat next to Taehyung, not speaking a word, and neither did the others. The weird feeling was still settling in Taehyung's stomach and as if on cue, he heard a suspicious movement coming from beside the house.

He immediately looked over and searched for anyone, scared that another hunter was near them and that they were in danger. The others must've heard as well because Jungkook quickly stood up and Jimin turned around as well.

A tall man came around the corner. "Ah, I see you guys caught me."

Taehyung narrowed his eyes at the unfamiliar guy, but Jimin let out a gasp.

"Who are you?" Namjoon asks as he steps up to protect everyone. But Jimin quickly made his way to Taehyung, cursing to himself.

"Long time, no see," the guy smirks as he peeks over, "Jimin-ssi."

Jimin groans behind Taehyung. "After all these years, you show up now? Now isn't a good time."

"Oh, I know." The guy smiles almost mischievously. Taehyung doesn't like him already. "I see Kwan did her job, huh? It's so sad to see her ripped to shreds. I really thought she'd last."

Taehyung turns to Jimin and tilts his head. "Who is this? He knows Kwan?"

Jimin frowns, ignoring him. "You're the reason that bitch did all of this, aren't you? You did this?"

The guy smiles. "I told you you'd regret leaving me, Jimin."

But Jimin laughs, amused. "Si-woo. You made my life a living hell." He turns to Taehyung, finally. "Meet the asshole who turned me into a vampire, guys. He's always been an asshole, please excuse him—"

"I'm not here for your little jokes, Jimin." The guy, Si-soo, sounds stern as he speaks, so Namjoon steps up to him.

"Then why are you here at all?" Namjoon asks.

Si-woo glances at Jimin. "To let my presence be known. I'm sure I'll be seeing more of you, so don't you worry, big guy." He smirks at Namjoon before speeding away, leaving the conversation at that.

Jimin growls to himself and clenches his fists. "Fucking asshole wants revenge because I left him years and years ago— how pathetic."

Before anyone can question anything, the door to Hoseok's grandmother's house opens, revealing the little lady.

Jungkook straightens up. "A-Are they okay?" he speaks for the first time in hours.

She's about to talk, but suddenly, Seokjin walks out from behind her, smiling as soon as he sees his friends. A few gasps of disbelief are let go, but Jimin's gasp is more filled with surprise.

  "Oh my God," he mutters.

Seokjin smiles bigger. "Would you believe me if I told you that I was a ghost the whole time?"

Namjoon is smiling back at him and Hoseok is already pouring tears and can't speak. "I wouldn't believe you for a moment, hyung." Namjoon laughs out of relief from Seokjin's joke, seeing his friend back as normal.

Before anyone else speaks, Jimin lets out a sob and makes his way towards Seokjin. He wraps his arms around the older's neck, ignoring everyone else.

He's crying as he starts to press kisses all over the oldest's face and they all just watch in awe as Seokjin slowly closes his eyes and smiles, taking the kisses as if it's totally normal for it to happen.

"Don't you ever leave me again," Jimin chokes out as Seokjin starts to wipe his tears for him.

Taehyung starts to tear up as well, watching Jimin pull Seokjin into a very much long and awaited kiss. But something in him sinks as Hoseok's grandmother walks up to Taehyung and takes his hand in hers.

  "Where's Yoongi?" he asks.

She gives him a small smile, but Taehyung doesn't trust it. He doesn't like the pity in her eyes as she looks up at him.

Everyone goes silent yet again, wondering where Yoongi is during all of this.

"Well," she sighs, "he's alive as well, believe it or not, but he's resting right now."

Taehyung feels almost immediately relieved. "I can go see him then, right?" He smiles at her, but she purses her lips in a way that makes Taehyung's smile fade. "What's wrong?"

"He lost some of his memory," she tells him. Everything is silent again. Nobody moves. Nobody speaks. "I'm sorry."

Sorry? Yoongi lost his memory... to what extent? He remembers Taehyung, right?

  Right?
