Daraksha Khan, princess of her "King & Queen", that's what she cal her parents as, lived together in their big  "castle", her house. Daraksha, a very kind, humble, innocent & a brilliant personality. She was very fond of books. She loved to read, as books were only her best friends. She gets everything under her nose, whatsoever she asks for as she's the exclusive child of her parents. She had plenty of friends, only because of her high status in the society. Dozens of maids to take care of her, but still the spark missing in her life. The reason was vivid, her parents used to be so busy with their business work, hectic schedule, so they hardly spent any time with her.

Somewhere in the crowded world, she was all alone, sad & gloomy.

One night, after offering her night prayers she remained vigil. She raised both of her hands up towards the sky & sobbingly made a wish to the Almighty to put an end to her loneliness. Day by day months passed by with her sobbing every night on the holy carpet.

One day her maid took her to the nearby hospital. No, not for checkup or consulting any doctor. But for something else. Something she never imagined. She kept on asking questions to the maid but she remained silent.

Once she reached the hospital, she found her father holding a new born baby in his arms. She ran towards him as fast as she could & excitingly asked, 'Is this ours?' Her father smiled & said 'Yes my princess! He is ours'.

Her happiness knew no boundaries. She felt like finally her prayers has been answered. She secretly thanked the Almighty by looking towards the sky & smiled elatedly. She was on top of the world.

On the following day, she screamed out loud to the whole world by telling them about the exquisitely blessing the Almighty had blessed them with.

She especially invited people for the 'Naming Ceremony', by personally visiting their houses with a box of sweets in her hands.

As the naming ceremony begun, everyone started congratulating her mother, father & her. One of the room was full of the gifts that the guests brought for the newest member for the family. Everyone was happy in their own happiness.

As it was the naming ceremony, therefore naming him was mandatory. Her father named him "Aqdas" meaning pure holy.

Later as the time passes by, both Daraksha & Aqdas grew up. Aqdas was 4 years old & Daraksha was 12 years old now. Like Daraksha, Aqdas too didn't got to spend enough time with their parents. So now both of them spent most of the time together.

In the starting, Aqdas had a hard time crying for his mother as he was too young to be separated from her. But Daraksha took care of him & never made him to realize the absence of his mother. She loved him as her own child. She used to play with him, give him a horse ride on her back, played with the remote controlled cars, made him laugh. She used to rush to get home as soon as her school gets over as her concern for Aqdas was growing day by day.

With time their eternal bond of love also got deeper & deeper day by day. Their bonding became too strong to be broken by anyone.

As the years passed by, Aqdas was now 17 years old & Daraksha was 25. She completed her Bachelors as well as Masters degree too & now their parents had started searching for the perfect match for their princess, whom they can settle down her with.

Aqdas just completed high school with an A+ grade. He was in love with his brand new Karizma bike which his dad awarded him as a present for scoring an A+ grade in high school.

He was so excited about his new bike that often he use to forget that it's a bike not a fighter jet plane. Many times Daraksha used to scold him for being a speed freak. She was very concerned about her bother as bike accidents were so often these days.

But all her warnings bounced over Aqdas's mind. He used to make her feel satiable with his buttering word. But still, Daraksha always remained worried about him.

Next day, Daraksha was crying in her room when Aqdas showed up. He sat next to her & started convincing her by saying that every girl has to face it one day sooner or later & getting married to the right guy is most important thing.

"Your marriage will be the best day of your life", he added. All of his talk wasn't enough to convince Daraksha for the marriage.

He wiped out her tears & hugged her & said "you call me the "spark" of your life but you know what? You're like an "angel" in my life. You've always saved me whenever I needed you. You were always there for me 24x7. You could remain awake the whole night without blinking only for me so that I can sleep peacefully.

I too am going to miss you a lot. Hearing this made her cry even harder.

"Just keep your faith in the Almighty. I, Mom & even Dad believes that he is a nice guy. He will always keep you happy & if he doesn't, just give me a call. I'll make his worst dream come true. Trust me" hearing this she laughingly said, "you mean the world to me too" & they both shared a warm hug.

"Aqdas, where are you?" Daraksha screaming out loud from one room to the another, but not a single sign of him was to be found.

Meanwhile, her mother grabbed her hand & ordered her to sit on the chair & let the beautician do the magic.

Finally the day of her marriage had arrived. "Stop looking for Aqdas, he will be back soon. He must be busy in some work", said her Mom.

Later, when Daraksha got completely ready *awestruck*. She looked like an angel just landed on the earth.

The scarlet red lehenga with the golden zardozi work on it added the extra glow to her look.

All that while she kept on asking about Aqdas.

As they were about to leave for the wedding venue, she found Aqdas standing in an off-white sherwani, holding a big box of gift wrapped in the golden gift paper.

As soon as she saw him, all her worries & anger melted down like a glacier. They exchanged a warm smile & left for the venue.

Everything went pretty great & now finally the time for the bidai arrived.

Daraksha had to bid goodbye to her family & leave her house to settle down in her sasural now. She hugged her parents & bursted into tears & then she hugged Aqdas as tightly as she could as she wasn't still ready to leave all of them.

Aqdas too couldn't stop himself  crying. But eventually they had to let it go. She asked everyone & specially Aqdas to be early for the reception, next day.

"Hurry up Aqdas! We're already running late. Remember Daraksha said to show up early", his mother said.

Aqdas told them to leave without him & that he'll join them afterwards. He was going to arrive at the reception on his bike.

By the time her parents reached there, the ceremony had already begun.

Daraksha was kicking her heels but as soon as she saw her parents arriving, her gloomed face turned into brightening face again. She greeted her Mom & Dad with a warm hug.

When she realized Aqdas's absence she started running her eyes from one end of the hall to the other and couldn't see him anywhere. She asked her Mom about him. Then her mother informed her that Aqdas will be joining them soon & that he is on his way.

Soon Daraksha got busy in greeting all the guests, family & friends & all the photo session thing.

After an hour or so Daraksha called her mother near her & whispered in her ear "it's quite late now. Where is Aqdas? Please call him & ask him to show up." To which her mother replied that she had been calling him since half an hour but the call couldn't be connect as his phone was out of reach.

Now Daraksha got distraught by this. She told her mother to ask her father about Aqdas as he might know something.

Later, a huge silence covered the whole surrounding. Her mother, father & her new family asked her to get into the car & then her husband started driving. All the way she kept asking zillions of question to everyone. "Where are we going? Why isn't anyone answering? What is the matter? Is everything alright? Is something wrong? But no one answered.

All of a sudden the car stopped in the middle of nowhere & everyone got out of the car. They started moving ahead taking her along with her.

Daraksha was still blank. She had no clue what was happening. Everyone stopped walking, down there was something covered in white sheet & then someone uncovered it & Daraksha appalled.

Her whole world turned upside down in just seconds. She felt like her heart just jumped out of her chest. Her body went freeze. She kept on denying that this couldn't happen & that all this is just a bad prank.

She kept on asking him to get up & tell everyone that this is one of your bad prank & this isn't real. But Aqdas kept lying there without making a slightest movement.

Her husband took her into his arms & said, "this isn't a prank & that this is for real. Aqdas had left them forever. He met with an accident while on his way to the hall & that accident took his life. She still couldn't believe it. She felt down on her knees near Aqdas. She was crying her lungs out but couldn't stop herself. Her world just brutally ruined up.

Aqdas was like her baby & she loved him more than anything in the world. She met him when she most needed someone's company. She remembered his words when he said to her once. "Your marriage will be the best day of your life"

Was it really the best day of her life?
