Cold Truth
Snugglemagne waited in the cold cell, alone in his very own dungeon. Well it was Luna dungeon now. He looks through the window of the cell, despite the steel bars preventing him from escaping. He wondered why Luna was doing this? He never did anything to treat her badly. He made sure she was cared for very much and showed her true love. He thought all this while the sun rays hit his fur, allow it to regain his natural creamy white fur color. He look to see his citizens, seeing them being carefree as they always been. He couldn't help but smile a bit, he was grateful that Luna was not going harm them.
Perhaps Luna could change. She may not truly be evil at all. He often noticed her eyes flash in sadness when she holds a picture close to her heart. Something triggered her to cause her to go down this path of darkness. He needed to ask about this, even if it means she would torture him later but it was worth the risk. He sighed greatly before his ears picked up the sound of footsteps coming down the stairs toward his cell. He slowly got up and waited to see who was coming to visit him. Even though he already knew who it was.
Luna had come down with a tray of food like she always did. On the tray was some mythical berry salad, a nicely grilled Tuna steak, and to wash it all down was a glass of lemonade that was a rosey red color. She hand him the tray and sat away from his cage, watching him as he begin to eat his meal. As always, he enjoyed the meal whole heartly.
"Thank you so much, Moon flower!" He smiled at her, after he finished his meal. He bow before her in his gentlemen way, causing the wolf before him to blush greatly.
"....Night" She spoke
His ears perked a bit as he lifted his head to look her in those gemstone like eyes.
"What was that?" He asked, making sure his voice was not rude to her ears.
" My name is Night" Night revealed her true name to him, he was powerless in his situation, so why bother to hide her identity to him anymore.
"Oh... That is a gorgeous name for a beautiful wolf such as yourself" He smiled, happy to learn her true name.
"Stop your pathetic attempt of trying to flirt with me! I will never fall for you nor will you ever see the sun beside you window. So stop acting like you actually care for me!" She snarled at him, causing him to flinched
"I was just being polite" He couldn't make eye contact with her, the fury in her eyes were burning whenever he attempted to look into her gaze
"Well stop. It is really getting on my nerves! You think I can easily be suave by sweet honey like words. Just get to the point that you are trying to make. Don't think you can fool me, you pathetic excuse for a ruler! You barely have guards doing patrols in the valley, hiding them all inside this small castle! A TRUE RULER SHOULD GUARD HIS PEOPLE AS IF THEY WERE AS IMPORTANT AS HIS OWN SAFETY! All you are doing is asking my anger, believe me when I say don't try to anger me.I have only two reasons for being here, you are certainly not one of them! So let out your true feelings, don't bother to sugar coat it either" Night was in a bad mood, so she decided to get real and put her prisoner in place.
The King sweat drop like bullets, his back was to the stone wall. He could hardly could gather the courage to speak to her. His mouth was so dry that it was a miracle that any words managed to even come out and not be dead silent.
"What two reasons?" He asked, barely able to be heard.
Luckily for Night she had enhanced hearing. She though about if she should actually tell him the truth. After what felt like an eternity, though in reality it was only for a couple minutes. Night decided to tell him the truth without sparing any detail.
She look back at him, watching his legs wobble and threaten to become jelly out of fear. Perhaps she should have been a bit less harsh to him. Well she could do nothing about it now.
"The first reason was to make my little brother, Timber dream come true. He always wanted to come to this valley. He often told me how he dreamed that he was the ruler of this place. He told me how he would improve the defenses and be a kind ruler of He ever came here. To see how it looked like, to meet the sweetypies who lived such carefree lives without a care in the world. Most of all, he wanted to see the Ruby that protects this valley. Sadly he can no longer achieve his long desired dream. So as his sister, it is my duty to make his dream into a reality, as the queen of Pure Heart Valley" Each word made her eyes threaten to drop tears of sadness, she forced herself that she would never cry in front of the citizens nor her enemies. She forced herself to continue.
Snugglemagne listen, he could understand why she dethrone him now, though why could get brother no longer achieve his dream. Was he sick? Traveling somewhere far away? Did he forget the dream from amnesia? There was only one way to find out.
"What happened to your brother?" He asked, getting as close as the steel cold bars would allow him to get.
Night eyes flashed with sorrow. It was obvious that this was a sensitive topic for her. Then after a few moments she laughed crazily, surprising the lion. She then smiled an evil Cheshire cat like grin.
"He was killed by the Mao clan. I was ten at the time. I was asleep after doing my chores and making for sure that Timber was sound asleep. My parents had to go to meet up with some old friends, so we just went to bed. The smell of toxic fumes from the smog of our house woke me up. I saw the crimson red flames as they were engulfing much of the place I lived for my first few years. My first instinct was to get my brother to safety. I disregard my very own safety, he was the only thing that I would die for after all. It was my job to protect him, I was not going to let the fear of death stop me. Once I made it to his room, there was a call of fire blocking me from him. I had to get to him, so I leap throught the blazing embers and grabbed him. As a result, my eyes were damaged and the burns caused disgusting scars " Her heart aches at the memory of that night that always plagued with in her mind.
"Though your eyes look fine" The King could see no scars and it was clear to him that Night had excellent vision.
"DO NOT INTERRUPT ME! I AM NOT FINISHED TALKING!" Night hated to be interrupted, she was getting to the part about her eyes.
The King help a bit but apologized, letting Night continue her story. He was cautious though, she was evil so she could be lying to him. Her words and the emotion into them told a different story. His mind was against her, though his heart only felt pity for this wolf that was telling him this tale.
"As I was saying! My green eyes were badly damaged, so I piggyback my little brother to the front door. The door handle was too hot to touch and Timber was not going to last much longer of he breathe in more of the fire poisonous smog. I made sure he covered his eyes and head as I used my body to ram against the window and escape the house. The fresh air was such a relief to my lungs. Sadly the relief did not last long. Timber inhaled too much of the smoke and died, before he died he used the last bit of magical power he had to trade his blue eyes for my damaged green ones. He should have heal himself instead. He always cared about others even in his dying moments he was thinking about helping me. He smiled even in death..." She paused, she had to before the sadness overwhelmed her as it does often.
"I'm so sorry Night. That must have been so heart breaking...no lady of your beauty such have to suffer such heartaching sorrow" He managed to squeeze his paws through the bars just enough to place it on her shoulder comforting like.
Night shrugged off his gesture of comfort. She did not need his comfort. Comfort was a form of pity, she despites pity seeing it as a sign of weakness. She glared at him coldly before continuing speaking.
"I held his body in my paws, feeling his warmth slowly leave his corpse. He truly was too young and pure, it should have been me that day. I am not worthy of his eyes, and yet they are all that I have to honor his sacrifice. I had to inform my parents of this tragedy, so I looked around for them. The very first sight I saw with my own eyes was the bloody corpses of my parents. My heart sink to the abyss of darkness in that moment. I had lost my home, my parents, and the most precious person in my life, my little brother Timber. When I glanced around, I saw the ones responsible. It was two daughters of Shin Mao of the Mao clan. The one who wields the golden spear, Brunhilde and the one who wears the golden contacts. They were there, the spear covered in blood and the one who wore the contacts had a torch in her hands. It was clear what they had done. Since that day, my heart is now filled with hatred that is roaring towards that accursed clan!" Anger was spat at from each word that Night spoke, she hated all those cats. Not just because she was a dog but because she had a reason. A very well worth reason
The King was speechless upon hearing this. The Mao clan were a family of heroes. They were the family of his sheriff, the two who she described sounded like the sheriff's legendary sisters. The hatred in her voice wasn't faked at all, she was telling the true.
"So after achieving my my legendary villianess status, I when to learn the locations of all the members. As it so happened, the only son of Shin Mao is the sheriff of this valley. He was the one who scarred me. So when I destroy him, if his family chooses to come to his funeral, they will soon have their own" Her Cheshire smirk returned
The King just silently listen,he was unsure what to say after hearing this. He knew that was a very good reason for Night to become a villian. Her scars also appeared to be made from a blade. Mao Mao does have a golden katana, he could caused her to receive those scars on her left cheek. Night was most storytelling the truth. Though he did not approve of her to kill the Mao clan, it would not bring back the loved ones.
Night then got up and go ready to leave. Though she spoke before she decided to go.
"The sheriff will soon lose more and more since I will use something I recently discovered. Someone close to me has fallen for a certain badger. I will use this to slowly destroy the faith and truth the department have in each other. Starting with Bagerclops and Mao Mao" Shadows allowed her to disappear as she ascended up the stairs.
This worried the king greatly.
What was Night going to do to the sheriff department?
