Hemanshi's POV

I brought him to my hotel, I made him sit on the bed and gave him a glass of water but he refused to drink it. I could see the desperation in his eyes to know what happened after he left. How much humiliation I faced and how my own family treated me.

I sat down beside him and held his hand "tumhare jaane ke baad main toot gayi Aarav.. Uss Saahil se shaadi ho hi jayegi yahi soch liya tha maine par.. Uss din" 

"uss din kya" He asked with curiosity 

I glared at him "bata rahi hun suno chup chap" I replied

He made a cute face and apologized "sorry tum bolo" 

Flashback

I have Shreshta with me who will handle me but him? "Sambhal lena khudko.." I said as I know he will be all alone.

"Hmm.." he replied. Saahil shouted "bahar nikalo iss besharam insaan ko.."

Aarav got up and walked out of the hall by himself. I eyed him and hoped for him to turn back but he disappeared and the hall door gets shut. I closed my eyes all disheartened and shattered. I lost him again, Saahil held my hand and picked me up,

"Bahut ho gaya ye tamasha chalo shaadi karni hai humhe" he said

I eyed him, the way he was holding my arm was hurting me. I said "Saahil chodo mujhe dard ho raha hai"

Saahil didn't listen and took me toward the mandap. He signaled me to sit down, I sat down without creating any more scenes as I had already faced a lot of humiliation in front of everyone. My mind had stopped working and my destiny was pushing me toward this man who had raised questions about my character in front of society.

The priest began to chant the mantra, I could see my future burning into the fire with him. I wished a miracle to happen but he is gone. I closed my eyes with tears rolling down my tears mixing with the mascara. 

Suddenly, I saw the water getting thrown into the fire. I looked up and it was my father standing there with tears in his eyes. A daughter plead was heard by a father. I instantly got up and run towards him. I hugged him tightly breaking down. 

His protective hands reached my head and smeared it softly. He consoles me "bas beta bas ab ek bhi aansu mat girne dena apni aankhon se" he said. 

Saahil was left in complete disbelief at my father's action. "Ye kya kiya aapne?" he asked in calm tone but it has a inch of anger in it. 

Alok glared at him, I looked up at my father and he cleaned my eyes with tip of his fingers giving me assurance till he is here no one can ruin my dignity. He tilted his face towards Shrestha who within a second walked closer to us. 

"Shrestha.. Sambhal ise" he said, she held my arm and I turned towards her. She pulled me into her embrace. 

He slapped Saahil hard on his face and a smile appears on my face.

"Tumne socha bhi kaise itna sab hone ke baad main apni beti ki shaadi tumse karunga" Alok yelled at him on top of his lungs. 

Rano held his hand and said "shanti se baat kijiye aapki tabiyat bigad jayegi"

"Kuch nahi hoga mujhe Ranoji! Aaj bhagwaan ne aankhein khol di hai meri" Alok said

"Alokji ye aap kya kah rahe hai?? Himmat bhi kaise hui aapki mere bete pe haath uthane ki haan?" Saahil's father spoke in firm voice

"Aur aapke bete ki himmat kaise hui meri beti ki ijzat iss tarah sabke saamne uchalne ki!" Alok yelled back at him.

I closed my eyes for a moment hearing his words "acha? Aur aapki beti jo jaane kitni raat uss escort ke saath raat guzar chuki hai tab uski ijzat nahi uchli?" he shouted

Alok grabbed his collar "bas.. Ek shabd aur nahi kehna warna mera haath tumpe bhi uth jayega" he said in anger and pushed him hard.

"Wo ladka jaisa bhi tha lekin usne anth tak meri beti pe koi ungli nahi uthayi! Are tumhara beta meri beti se shaadi karne waala tha aur sabke saamne wo video.. Wo toh uss ladke ne use band kar diya warna meri beti apne hi maa baap ke saamne nazrein nahi mila paati samjhe aaplog" Rano confronted him.

"Ab aap mujhe uss neech insaan ke saath compare kar bhi kaise sakte hai?" Saahil shouted feeling disgust. 

Alok glared at him "neech insaan? Haan wo bahut neech hai! Meri jaan bachana uski nichta thi... humse kitna mila wo? Muskil se ek do din par phir bhi hamari pasand jaanli aur gifts leke aaya usse meri beti ke chahre mein muskurat aayi! Kyuki tumhare liye toh bas tumhara parivar matter karta tha na.. Neech insaan hai wo itni insult hoti rahi phir bhi yahan khada raha sirf hemadri ke liye use protect kiya neech insaan hai wo jo usse shaadi karne ko mana kar diya taaki uske saath uska naam na jude aur badnaami na sehni pade" my father took my love's side. Just because he is an escort doesn't mean he should be seen as a disgraceful person. 

I cried more, Rano hugged me tightly and caressed my head "mat ro meri bachi.. Tune kuch galat nahi kiya hai! Sharminda toh hum hai jo teri shaadi isse karane chale they hamare saamne aise beizaat kar sakte hai toh jaane shaadi ke baad kya hi karenge ye log" Rano said with fear in her eyes for losing me.

"Ye shaadi nahi hogi! Main apni beti ko kuwara bitha sakta hun par Saahil tum jaise ladke se shaadi nahi kar sakta.. Jise apni hi patni ki ijzat karni nahi aati" Alok yelled at him

"Sahi kaha inhone.. Are Aarav na sirf iski balki hamari bhi ijzat karta hai.. Bhale hi uska kaam galat hai lekin insaan wo galat nahi hai" Rano said

"Maa.." I was surprised to hear her words

Rano smiled and cupped my face "haan hemanshi.. Aaj tum dono ko dekhke maine jaana bahut pyaar karte ho tum dono ek dusre se.. Uski chupi.. Teri tadap aur jab Saahil ne tujhpe ungli uthayi uski chupi ka tootna.."

Alok came to me and held my hand "aaj tera baap tujhe kah raha hai hemanshi bhaag jaa yahan se." 

I was astonished hearing his words. He choose my happiness over society. I can't run and let my parents face the consequences alone by themselves. 

"Nahi papa.. Main nahi bhaagungi agar aapko dukh diya toh Aarav ko acha nahi lagega aur maine usse wada kiya hai main aap dono ko aur takleef nahi dungi" I said with teary eyes.

Alok kisses my forehead and slowly the guests began to leave. We shared a family hug and Shrestha joined us "I am so proud of you chacha chachi.. Mujhe vishwas tha aap dono hema ke saath kuch galat nahi hone doge"

Rano smeared her head, Saahil fumed in anger and warned me "hemanshi Kashyap! Main ye insult yaad rakhunga.. Jeena muskil kar dunga tumhara aur uss Aarav ka.." 

Alok was about to speak something but I tapped his arm "ek second papa.."

I stared at him with teary eyes, he didn't have any guilt or shame in his eyes for ruining my dignity in front of many guests. I slapped hardly on his face and shouted "Mujhe kamzor samajhne ki koshish karna bhi mat tum mere maa baap ka saath hai mere paas.. Aur tumhe jo karna hai karlo.. Mere aur Aarav ke rishte ke baare mein duniya ko cheenkh cheenkh ke batana hai batado.. Kyuki main janti hun maine kuch galat nahi kiya! Pyaar karna kabhi galat nahi hota hai samjhe tum!"

"Chal beta yahan se.. Hum sab aaj hi wapas india jayenge" Rano said, I nodded and we walked out of the hall.

Shrestha booked the flight tickets while I packed my things. I had a smile on my face as my parents stood by my side. Within an hour we checked out of the hotel and headed toward the airport. I looked at the announcement board and the last flight to London had already departed. 

Aftermath, I got a job in Mumbai and got busy with it. My father took retirement and I began to support them financially. I had everything in my life but not the love of my life. I know we can't be together but I desire him. 

One fine day, I was sitting down with my parents and Shrestha.  

Shrestha received a text "thik hai na hema?"  

"haan.. she is fine" she replied 

I snatched the phone from her hand "kya tu messages mein lagi hui hai" She tries to take the phone back but I didn't give it to her. I read the texts and got conscious. 

I eyed back at her in a state of shock "Tu Aarav ke saath touch mein hai?" 

"haan wo tujhse toh baat kar nahi sakta toh hafte mein ek baar tera haal chal puchta hai mujhe.."  she replied leaving me astonished. 

I returned the phone to her. Not a single day I missed him. How can I move on? he is my first love. Rano and Alok exchanged glances with each other. 

Rano kept her hand on my shoulder and I smiled at her.

"Beta.. usse pyaar karti hai?" she asked

I didn't say anything, yes I love him but I didn't want to hurt them as I know they won't ever allow me to get back with him despite them knowing he is a very decent person. 

Alok said "Hema.. humhe bahut takleef hoti hai tujhe iss tarah uski yaad mein raat bhar jagte hue.."

I looked at him with moist eyes "papa.. Main  nahi bhool sakti use.. Aap nahi jante wo kitni parwaha karta tha meri.. Cramps mujhe aate they par pareshan wo hota tha.. Mere chehre mein ek smile laane ke liye wo aapke liye aur sabke liye gifts le aaya wo bhi tab jab main usse humiliate karne mein lagi hui thi.. Koshish ki maine use bhool jau par nahi hua papa.. Nahi hua aur dekho shrestha se meri khabar leta rehta.. usse puchta hai mera husband tang toh nahi karta.." I sighed deeply. 

Alok wiped tears from my eyes and smiled "toh mat bhool beta.. London wapas jaa aur uski galatfehmi door kar"

I looked at him totally amazed, "papa.."

"Haan beta.. Jitni badnaami honi thi ho gayi ye samaaj nahi samjhega par hum samajhte hai pyaar aur uski majburi... tu London jaa usse mil aur kah humhe tum dono ke rishte se koi aitraaz nahi hai" Rano said

I just couldn't believe their words, Shreshta smiled "haan hema.. Yahi toh wo chahta tha na.. Agar chacha chachi haan karenge toh wo tujhse shaadi karega toh jaldi se london bhaag use sab bata wo bechara toh yahi soch raha abtak teri shaadi saahil se ho gayi"

"Papa lekin yahan sab.." I was concerned as again questions will be raised about them

"Kuch toh log kahenge logo ka kaam hai kehna.. Hamare liye teri khushi mayne rakhti hai" Alok replied

I hugged him tightly and was elated to hear their decision. I just can't wait to see him and start fresh with him this time with my parents' blessings.

I came out trance of my thoughts and he was left stunned to hear me. First, he couldn't believe my words, he said "Stop lying hema.. Aisa nahi ho sakta hai ye sach nahi hai!"

"Yeh sach hai Aarav.. " I replied cupping his face.

He instantly hugged me and began to cry out loud.
