No one's POV

Currently, a 7 year old Sora Yatagami has just finished playing with his friend Momiji Takamine

Sora: I think it's time we head home!

Momiji: Yeah it's already this late. I'll see you at school tomorrow.

Sora: Right.

Sora is currently walking back to his house and when he arrives the house is completely dark and empty. Sora had a confused look because he know that his parents were supposed to be home by now.

Sora: I'm home. Mom, Dad??

After waiting for 3 hours Sora heard the door open and it was his Uncle.

Sora: Uncle!

Uncle: Yatagami! Have you seen your mom and dad?!

Sora just shook his head and he see some of Uncle co-workers searching the house looking for his parents.

Uncle: Did they tell you where they were going?

Sora: No...Did something happen to them?

Sora Uncle just look at him with an annoyed look.

Uncle: Your parents stole money from the company and then vanished!

Sora look at his Uncle completely and utterly shocked at what his parents had done.

Sora: Your lying!

After that Sora has to move to one of his relatives since he was to young to defend himself. His relatives live far away from his current home.

BR: Hiya, Yatagami! I'm sure we'll get along great!

Sora just nod at him. After living with his relatives for a week he had just finished school and arrive at his relatives house.

Sora: I'm home.

BR: Hey, c'mon!

Sora just look confused and decided to eves drop on the conversation.

BR: I'm in a bind myself after what that kid's parents did! Honestly, I can't even stand to see the name "Sora"! Take him off my hands!

Sora look completely shocked after hearing what his relatives just said.

Sora: So he lied to me...

After that Sora been living and moving from one place to another. All of them lied to him through their teeth. And after moving for 7 years Sora completely lose trust in people and the thought of being in a family.

Currently Sora is 14 years old and he is currently on his way to his new house in Kawagoe.

BR: Welcome, Yatagami. This is your home from now on.

GR: You can stay as long as you like.

After arriving at his new house, Sora just put his backpack and didn't even bother to unpack that much because he knew that he will move again anyway. Suddenly he heard a knock on his door.

Sora: Come in!

Sora see it was a girl with blonde hair, blue eyes and has a green ribbon on top of her hair.

???: Hello my name is Rumia Tingel. Can you tell me your name?

The girl name Rumia said with a big smile on her face. But Sora just answer her coldly.

Sora: Sora Yatagami.

Rumia look Sora in the eye and she can tell the sadness and loneliness in it, but she just shook it off her head and look Sora with a smile on her face.

Rumia: Well then Sora since you will be living here, I hope we can get along, little brother.

Sora look surprised that Rumia called him little brother, but shook his head because he knows that it was just a performance to gain his trust and than turn their back when they got the chance.

Sora: Right.

After living there for 2 weeks he didn't even bother to talk to his stepfather and stepmother. While Rumia on the other hand keep asking Sora to come hang out with her, but he politely decline. Sora just stay in his room all day and night, after he finished school he just head home and stay in his room until it is time for dinner. His record about what his parents had done was leaked to the students of the school and in turn, they all looked down on him and treated him like garbage, and some even went so far to physically abuse him and beat him.

(Timeskip)

Currently Sora just finished school and is heading back home when suddenly 3 bullies stop him in his track.

Boy1: Where do you think you're going?

Sora: Move!

Boy2: You think you can just run away like that.

Boy3: It's time for your daily beating because we don't need a criminal in this school.

The 3 bullies started beating Sora, giving him bruises all over his body, and one of them punch Sora in the face so hard that his head hit the wall and blood started dripping on top of his head. The other students didn't even bother to help him while they just giving him a pity looks.

Rumia: Hey! What are you doing to him?!

Boy1: Huh?

Rumia suddenly move between the 3 boys and protecting Sora with all her might. While the other Students look confused that she's protecting him.

Boy2: What are you doing?

Rumia: What am I doing, no what are you doing? Why are you guys hurting him and why are the rest of you didn't even bother to help him?

Boy3: He is a criminal, didn't you see his record. His parents were a criminal they stole money and sell drugs to other people.

Rumia: What his parents had done got nothing to with him. And don't hurt my little brother!

Sora looked shocked that Rumia is protecting him in front all of the Students before passing out. The other students looked surprise that Sora is Rumia little brother.

Boy1: YOUR LYING?!?!

Boy2: He is your little brother??

Boy3: How could someone like you have a little brother like him? Come on, answer us!!

Rumia: He is adopted. Now don't you dare hurt my little brother ever again!!

Rumia went to Sora and pick him up and brought him to the nearest hospital.

(Timeskip)

Sora started to slowly open his eyes to a bright light and he see he's in a hospital room.

Sora: Where...? Where am I...?

???: You're at the hospital.

Sora then looked to his right and saw Rumia sitting on a chair looking at him with a worried look.

Rumia: Are you alright? You took quite a beating, there's a huge scare on your face.

Sora: Why...? Why did you help me?

Rumia: Because...It's the big sisters job to protect her little brother...

Sora: Why do you keep calling me your little brother? You have to know about it... About my past, about what my parents had done, so why do you keep calling me your little brother? Your parents never cared for me. They just give me a cold look every day.

Rumia: What your parents had done got nothing to do with you. All I see in you is someone who needs a family. That's why I'm helping you.

Sora looked at Rumia completely shocked at her reasons for helping him. And Rumia speak again.

Rumia: Hey can you please tell me! Everything about you and your parents, what kind of a person are they?

Sora was unsure at first but decided to tell Rumia everything about his parents.

Sora: I know my parents, and they will never do such a thing. My parents is the kindness, sweetest and loving family I've ever known, there is no way in hell they would do something like that. But the others just believed in those rumors and pinned the blame on me, because I was their child.

Rumia looked surprised that Sora finally spoke to her. And the entire day Sora tells Rumia about what happened to him for the past 7 years, and Rumia was shocked by how much he went through and how the people treated him.

Rumia: Well, I won't be like those people who force you to move in and move out, I will always be your big sister.

Sora looked at her completely shock and Rumia just continue talking.

Rumia: I won't turn my back on you, no matter what! Little brother, I will always be by your side.
And I will always be your Big Sister.

Sora eyes widened completely and utterly shocked as tears started streaming down his face that finally, he found someone that considers him as a family and Sora hugged Rumia, crying.

Sora: Big Sis...!

Rumia then hugged Sora back and rubbed his head.

Sora is currently setting up Rumia NerveGear in her and Sora's room as the 2 of them were getting ready for the Sword Art Online closed beta.

Rumia: Are you done?

Rumia said with an exciting look on her face. Sora then finished setting up Rumia NerveGear and he sat on his bed while Rumia sat on her's and the 2 of them laid down next to each other.

Sora: Ready, big sis?

Rumia: Always, little bro!

Sora and Rumia then closed their eyes and said command to activate the NerveGear.
