A few days later...

The heroes have begun to pack their things before heading off to their next destination quite early the next day.

Clous: "So far, all that we've found is that four people of varying races have encountered some cloaked woman just before they were hit by The Night's Taboo."

They all get their bags.

Rez: "That isn't everything."

Emarah: "Huh?"

Rez: "Have you also noticed that us and Fiola possess no traces of racism?"

They exit the room with that thought.

Emarah: "Now that you mention it..."

Rez: "There's something deeper going on here."

They return their key before leaving the building.

Clous: "But why is that the case?"

???: "Maybe that bitch wants us for something."

Fiola is leaning against the wall of a building just outside.

Emarah: "Fiola!"

Fiola: "Then that just makes it all the more likely to find her if I go ahead and ditch this town."

They all join up.

??? 1: "About time you left you bitch!"

??? 2: "And you thugs!"

??? 3: "Take that scum as far away as you can!"

The citizens of town are more than eager to be rid of the four.

Rez: "Then we're heading to the Scalebound home next. Are you coming with us?"

Fiola: "Better be with people who can hold their own rather than going solo."

She lets out a soft smile.

Fiola: "I'll tag along."

They pick up the pace to leave town.

Clous: "Then welcome aboard this ragtag ship. We may not have much, but we make it work!"

Fiola: "Just try not to get on my nerves."

Her forearm metal glistens in the sun.

Fiola: "I'll make sure you don't."

They let her take an extra step ahead.

Th Others: "Y-Yeah, we won't! It's a promise!"

Fiola: "(sighing) Just don't pull anything stupid."

They head west to where their next destination lies, the home of the Scalebound...
