Baker's Tin

CG crept in the door

hopin' to give him a surprise

but the shop was empty

when someone covered her eyes

She tried to pry the fingers

when she was swung around

out of breath she stood

in his strong arms bound.

He gently whispered

"Don't try to be a prude!

Stop strugglin', will you

It's mighty rude."

"Let go of me, you...you

You're the best man

don't bring dishonor

I'll hit you with a tin can!''

He gave her a naughty grin

It was hard to dismiss

but he let her go

Later, there would be more and a kiss.

"Everythin' is ready

the delivery, I myself will make

don't you worry a bit.

Here's a muffin, for my cupcake."

She gave a him a wink, sayin

'"Pick me up at 3. Don't be late."

"If I bring you 2 muffins

Would you call it a date?"

CG slipped away
