The night (OS)
Warning: It's Unedited!!!
Deva ran towards the garden panting and gasping for breathes. His eyes filled with unshed tears
Maine apne dost apne deva ko kho dia. Aag mein jal ker mritiyu ho gayi uski.
Jhooth kyun bol rahi hain aap Tara mem saheb? Main mara nahin hoon.
Deva thought. The world around him blurred. He couldn't hear anything. Sweat dripped down his forehead. His heart suddenly felt too heavy for him to carry. His breathing stopped and he gasped. The words playing in his ears on loop.
Maine aag nahin lagayi. Tara mem saheb batao na inhein main toh aapke sath hi tha na?
Yeh mere sath nahin tha. Yeh jhooth bol raha hai
As the words played in his mind. Tears welled up in his eyes. His legs grew weak. He was about to fall but held a piller for support panting and gasping for breath.
Mem saheb yeh kya keh rahe ho aap? Aapko pata main jhooth nahin bol raha hoon
Nahin maine kuch nahin kiya.
Deva mumbled. His breath still stuck in his throat. Tears continued to roll down his cheeks and he shut his eyes tightly. His lips parted slightly. The weakening of his legs and the heavy feeling in his heart increased and Deva knew he was getting a panic attack.
He gasped and panted for breathes and fell down on the ground finally giving up.
He gasped and panted for breathes. For a moment, Deva thought that it was death and if it was death then he was ready to embrace it. He wanted to die but he was not dying. It was way worst then death. It was his personal hell.
Main toh tumhein ankhein band ker ke doondh loon. Mujhe na tumhare sanson ki ahat sunayi deti hai.
Meem Saheb!!!
Agar main bahot door chala gaya jahan aapko mere sanson ki ahat sunayi na de toh aap kya karoge mem saheb?
Toh uske liye ankh aur kaan nahin uske liye dil chahiye. Kyunke hum uski dhadkan kahin bhi sun sakte hain.
Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!
Deva let out a heart wrenching scream. Tears of mixed emotions streamed down his face.
He shut his eyes again. He gasped and panted for breathes. Tears continued to roll down his face like a waterfall. He couldn't breathe. His face paled as he reached out blindly, hoping to get a grip on something to try to stable himself. He felt caged, caged in a small box, never to be free.
Instead of finding some object to hold onto, he found a hand, a soft hand.
Tara mem saheb.
Deva whispered. Tara was shocked seeing Deva having a panic attack. She sat besides him and gently cradled his face. Her touch tender and loving.
Deva.
Tara called out worriedly. Her heart shattered loudly in her ears seeing his condition as she stroked his cheeks with tenderness.
He looked at her with tears rolling down his cheeks and barely opened eyes.
Please make it stop.
He chocked out. Tara held him pulling him closer. Her hand dropped from his cheek and she held his hand.
Kyun kiya aapne mem saheb? Kyun kiya aisa? Aapko muskaan dene ki yeh saza di aapne...
Deva fumbled with words, his breath hitching in his throat Tara cried, tears of guilt blurring her vision.
I'm sorry Deva.
Tara said, her hand cupping his cheek gently. She breathed forcibly. With a mixture of hesitation and longing, she cautiously circled her arms around his broad shoulders pulling him into a tender embrace. Tears rolled down her cheeks seeing his condition and her one hand reached up, caressing his hair with a tender touch.
Deva.
She whispered in his ear, her voice was shaky with pain unable to see his state.
Door hatiye mujhse.
Deva said weakly trying to pull away from her embrace but failed as Tara tightened her arms around him not ready to let him go.
Nahin jaungi. Kabhi nahin jaungi.
Tara said, her voice tinged with honesty as she pulled him closer.
Deva, already weak and vulnerable felt her warmth against him and let his hands find their way to her waist. He held the curve of her waist, his grip hesitant.
Tara slightly pulled away from the hug but not completely.
Their eyes met. His black orbs filled with vulnerability reflected into her warm brown ones. She cradled his face gently in her palms, her eyes a mixture of regret and love as she looked at him, her heart ached for him as tears rolled down her cheeks.
Deva tumhein yaad hai tumne bachpan mein mujhe saat sur ke bare main kuch bataya tha?
Tara asked in an attempt to distract him. Deva blinked his eyes.
Kya thy woh? Haan. Sa re ga....
Tara stopped and breathed out in frustration.
Mujhe nahin aa rahe.
Tara said frustrated upon not getting them right.
Deva smiled shakily. Their eyes locking.
It's sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa.
Deva said, fumbling on the notes, his voice was feeble.
Sa re ga ma pa dha.......
Tara repeated the notes but ended up forgetting again. She slapped her hand on her forehead.
Sa re ga ma pa dha ni sa.
Deva repeated again, his voice was feeble, fumbling on the notes.
Sa.... Mujhse nahin hota.
Tara was frustrated forgetting the notes again and again.

This time Tara repeated the saat sur without any mistakes. Tara noticed the shivering in deva,s body had decreased and his breathing had also started to turn normal and smiled slightly.
Okay deva ab back counting wali game khelte hain. Take a deep breath.
Tara said holding his slightly shaky hands and instructed him taking a deep breath herself. Deva followed her lead and tired to breathe but it came out in short gasps.
Now count with me.
Tara said holding his hand. Her voice was gentle and she breathed again.
Deva,s breath came out trembling.
Ten
Tara counted. Her eyes searching Deva,s hopefully.

Deva,s voice trembled as he repeated after Tara.

Tara back counted again, his voice was shaky as he attempted to take a deep breath.

Tara back counted, locking eyes with Deva.
Deva looked at her, his voice wavering as he repeated after her.

Tara allowed herself a small smile, her eyes brimming with tears as she said after taking another breath.

Deva looked at her, his grip on her hand slightly tightened as he let out another shaky breath. His voice wavering.

Deva repeated finally able to breathe out as Tara pulled him in her embrace. He went willingly hiding himself against her,
Kyun kiya Tara mem saheb?
Deva questioned, his voice muffled against her Saree.
Tara pulled back slightly and cupped his face, fingers gently brushing against his cheek in a tentative, affectionate touch, wiping the crystal droplets away that clung to his cheeks Her heart cracked as tears rolled down her cheeks unable to be held back.
I'm sorry Deva. I'm sorry meri wajah se..
Tara trailed off, chocking on her breath.
Aapne mujhe apne chehre per muskaan lane ki itni badi saza di?
Deva asked her, his voice trembling with vulnerability, his eyes shining with unshed tears.
The beating, bullying, Tara,s betrayal everything flashed across his eyes like a movie and he separated their frames taking a few steps back.
Aapne mera chand jala diya Tara ma'am.
Deva spoke, his eyes ablaze with fire.
Kyun aayi hain? Chali jaiye. Jaise saalon pehle mujhe chod ker gayi thi. Jab aapki wajah se mujhe jail jana pada.
Deva spoke. The pain and hurt evident in his eyes.
Deva,s words prickled her already broken heart like sharp darts. With tears rolling down her cheeks, she took a step forward, towards Deva.
Deva mujhe maaf ker do. Mujhe bola tha ke woh tumhein bacha lenge.
Tara said, her voice shaky with pain. She cradled his face in her palms, her touch tender and loving. Suddenly there was a noise of lightening, a low toned thunder and then followed by a heavy downpour.
Iss liye aapne Meri zindagi barbad kerna sahi samjha.
Deva continued to pour out his pain, his voice trembling with emotion. The pressure over his head was suffocating him.
Apnon ko bachane ke liye meri zindagi barbad kerna sahi samjha?
Deva asked, now tired. His strength drained and he was about to fall but Tara was quick, she took a step forward and held him, his face burried the crock of her neck, his hot breath made her shiver.
Deva mujhe nahin pata tha aisa kuch ho jayega. Mujhe nahin pata tha. I'm sorry.
Tara looked down, her voice quivering as she felt Deva,s pain, cutting through her heart like a sharp knife.
Tara caressed the wet locks of his hair, her hand slipping through them, the trembling of her form evident as she let out a trembling sob. A wave of tenderness washed over Deva as she caressed his hair. Despite his pain and greif, he couldn't deny the love he felt in her touch.
He gently held her hand, locking his fingers with hers as he pulled away. Their eyes met, the world around them seemed to blur into insignificance leaving only the two of them in this moment of vulnerability. As they gazed at each other, their love and vulnerability reflected in their eyes. Then tenderly Deva raised his hand but stopped just inches before her face. The hesitation between them was pulpable. He felt his heart crack open at her vulnerable sight and his hand moved to cradle her cheek with tender reverence. He looked into her eyes. She shifted closer, her eyes fluttered shut and he cradled her cheek tenderly, wiping away the tears from her cheeks with a loving touch. Despite his pain, he couldn't see her crying.
Shh. Tara mem saheb.
Cupping her face with tenderness, he wiped away her tears and pulled her closer. With a mixture of hesitation and tender reverence, he cautiously circled his arms around her petite frame. Surprise flickering across Tara,s features as she felt the warmth of his body against her, despite the heavy rain. With newfound courage, Tara,s hands found their way to his waist and she shifted closer, basking into the warmth of his embrace.
Rona band kijiye. Tara mem saheb. Mujhe acha nahin lagega.
Deva said, his voice softening as his one hand caressed her hair.
Maaf ker sakte ho mujhe?
Tara asked, still in the hug, her voice heavy from crying tightening her arms around Deva.
Deva continued caressing her hair as he spoke
Asaan nahin hai, par na mumkin bhi nahin hai.
Deva responded, his voice softening more with each passing second, his words tinged with honesty.
Tara smiled hopefully as she spoke, her voice muffled against his black coat.
I won't stop trying.
Suddenly Tara pulled back, locking eyes with him. She asked, her voice tinged with hope.
Aaj se start kerte hain.
Deva chuckled, a rich, hearty sound dancing in the air.
Kaise?
He asked, amusement dancing in his eyes.
Tumhara favorite khana bana ke.
Tara responded, her excitement evident.
Deva chuckled softly at her innocence.
Favorite khana baad mein banayenge per pehle andar chalte hain warna thand lag jayegi.
Deva said softly. Tara gasped and then nodded her head in positive. She held his hand, locking her fingers with his. Deva looked at her. Tara raised an eyebrow at him and he shook his head sideways and they both walked inside the haveli.
