In the midst of an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Y/N got the notification to be considered for a role in an upcoming movie called 'Sidewinder'. He was one of the two main characters and from the few infos he was given, it would take a lot of energy from the young man, thanks to fight scenes, running, stunts and so much more. So before the interview ended, Y/N cleared his throat and spoke louder to get everyone's attention.

Y/N:" Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, people of all ages. Just a moment ago, I was told to try out for a new movie. I usually don't toot my own horn very much, but I would love for all of you to support the project. The movie will be called 'Sidewinder' and any likes, reposts, mentions or whatever you can think of would really help. Once I have more details, I'll let you know. You've been wonderful, everyone. It was a lot of fun to be here, Jimmy. See y'all soon!"

Waving at the crowd, Y/N smiled as he left the stage. Honestly, support from fans was a big thing for the guy and winning new people over really helped any endevours he found himself in. The entertainment business profited as well, but the social aspect of it all was far more vital in Y/N's opinion. He didn't waste much time as he got in his car and called his manager to further discuss everything before putting the pen to the paper.

A few days passed until Y/N found himself in Buffalo, New York. He just got changed into his outfit for Sidewinder and stood aside while the rest of the crew set up the cameras and all. The producer heard a lot about him from previous business partners having followed Y/N's career closely. It was nice knowing the word would spread step by step, so maybe Y/N's dream to actually star in a blockbuster movie could come true. And just getting to know the people he worked with in every production was fun in general, but today didn't really offer such an opportunity. It went straight into the action as Y/N and his co-star Melanie Scrofano faced off.

Melanie:" Sorry buddy, but I don't do authority, alright?"

Y/N:" Neither do I, but you got something I want."

Melanie:" You mean the cube? Yeeeaah, I kinda need it more."

Y/N:" For what? You're just gonna sell it to the highest bidder later on or give it up for science."

Melanie:" So? I don't think you'd do better."

Y/N:" I'm saving this world!"

Melanie:" Oh please, what could be so dangerous about this thing?"

Y/N:" This cube has been around for millions  of years. It has eradicated several civilizations without leaving a mark. An unknown tribe did their best to hide it, so it wouldn't get into the wrong hands."

Melanie:" Oh..."

Y/N:" If you hand it over, the world will stay safe."

Melanie:" As much as I like the thought, I have a few friends who wanna study this thing. Either fight me or let me go."

That was the wrong kind of challenge as Y/N has been an experienced fighter for years, thanks to all kinds of training. He ran a hand through his hair before the fight actually started off.

Y/N:" Usually I don't hurt women, but the survival of our kind is on the line."

Melanie:" Oh I don't mind getting rough. You just sealed your fate, y'know?"

Y/N:" Oh yeah? What are you gonna do?"

Well, backtalk like that was a bad idea as well when Melanie managed to push Y/N away before unleashing her own wave of attacks, hoping to blindside the tall man one way or another.

Melanie knew how to defend herself, so the battle was quite even as strikes and kicks were exchanged. Truth be told, Y/N enjoyed being challenged every now and then because it brought more excitement to his workday. Eventhough he was more kniwn for calm or funny characters, once his serious side had a chance to come out, the whole world was on fire. Fans loved that about the characters he played with many wanting an actual series with him and a few others to do something intense. The idea was brought up in a meeting before, however nothing came from it yet. For now though, Y/N was taking another chance to keep Mrlanie off balance.

Y/N:" You're wasting valuable time, girl. It could've gone without trouble."

Melanie:" And I should leave everything to a shady smartass like you? Highly unlikely."

Y/N:" Just give up. You're too worn out to even defend yourself."

As Y/N was approaching Melanie though, he was surprised when finding himself looking down the barrel of a gun she just pulled from her back pocket.

Y/N:" Ooookay, that was dirty."

Melanie:" I always stay prepared. I'm doing what's best for all of us. If we manage to understand it, we might be able to deactivate this thing."

Y/N:" Try as you might, but you won't crack the code. Humanity is too screwed up to save itself these days. Sooner or later, nothing will be left of us."

Melanie:" I know. That's why we're going to stop it."

Y/N:" You're just delaying the inevitable."

Melanie was getting frustrated with Y/N's attempts of stopping her, so to put the final nail in the coffin, she shot right at his feet before turning around, flipping him off and leaving the scene.

Y/N remained in place for a few more seconds before shaking his head. According to script, he had something that was needed to even activate the cube. He couldn't just tell Melanie though, otherwise she would've thought he was crazy.

Y/N:" When will people learn that we're the architects of our own demise? They try to learn from what they don't understand. I might as well hit them in the head. It won't change a thing-"

Just when Y/N ran a hand through his hair, the sound of a hugh crowd running came closer towards him. Those were soldiers who followed him and Melanie to get the cube back, but with Melanie out of the shot, Y/N was the only suspect, so his instinct was to immediatly run away.

The crew kept filming for another minute or so, seeing Y/N hide as the soldiers scanned the area. It was right before a transition to a lab scene that was already dealt with.

After filming for the day was done and most things were stored as well, it was time to relax and have a few drinks. Y/N was seen chuckling when the camera man made a joke about his own job while Melanie took a sip from her cup of tea. She appreciated the new project and working with Y/N was quite the experience as well.

Melanie:" Do you accept every offer you get?"

Y/N:" The plot and script have to be good. I need a good base to work with before I decide, if I'll do it or not."

Melanie:" And what convinced you to do this?"

Y/N:" The personality of my character. I finally get to pack a punch and be more than just the lover or adorable idiot. Not that I mind, but serious characters are more to my liking."

Melanie:" I can imagine. During the fight, I knew you were going for the throat."

Y/N:" It's a natural killer instinct. Once I got in character, it's hard for me to get back out. But I don't wanna bore you too much. Same place, same time tomorrow?"

Melanie:" Count me in."

Y/N:" Wonderful. Here, take this."

Y/N quickly grabbed a flower and handed it to Melanie before surprisingly kissing her cheek.

It caught just about everyone off guard with Melanie blushing while Y/N was already on his way out. He wasn't a playboy or anything by any means, but the way he surprised people and knew how to hook the ladies were something special. Filming the remaining scenes was going to be interesting.
