~One~
A pic of Jayde Austin's ring gear. But imagine the shirt says 'The Renegade' instead. ^^^ And no, Becky Lynch is not Jayde Austin.
"Come on Jayde, suck it up." Her dad said, as he nodded his head in encouragement. He stretched out his hand to help her off of the matt and Jayde gladly took her father's help. This has got to be the fourth time she failed to execute the move perfectly, her father either countered her or she just feel to the matt while doing it. Her frustration was starting to show, as she ran her hands through her hair.
"Hey come on now Jayde, no need to get frustrated. You can do this, just focus." He said with an encouraging smile. Jayde took in a deep breath and nodded her head in reply. The father and daughter circled each other, never taking their eyes away from one another. Before her dad could react, Jayde kicked him in the mid section and underhooked both his arms, this time successfully delivering an Underhook Powerbomb. Her dad climbed back to his feet with a proud grin on his face. Jayde also had a smile as he pulled her into a bear hug.
"Well done Sweetheart." He pecked her cheek.
"Thanks Dad." Jayde replied, as she hugged him tighter. They both rolled out of the ring and took big gulps out of the bottles of water set on a bench. Jayde grabbed the towel that was placed right next to it and wiped the beads of sweat on her face. Jayde had always been trying to perfect that move for while now, mostly because that would be her finishing move so she had to perfect it as much as she could. A wrestler is known for his or her finisher, a signature finisher is one of the most important things a person needs in the sport of Pro Wrestling.
"You know dad, I am so excited for tonight. It's like little butterflies are fluttering around in my stomach." Jayde grinned. Her dad let out a chuckle as he gave her a knowing look.
"Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. I was just as excited for my first match too." He said, as he chuckled to himself at the memory. Here in the city of Denver, Colorado, Jayde Austin would have her very first match, and she couldn't be more excited. She had been dreaming of this day since an early age of three, all those years watching her dad on TV or on live shows, make history ever time he stepped into the ring. Jayde feel in love with the sport of wrestling at a young age and since then she had had an unbreakable passion for pro wrestling. It was all she wanted to do. Wrestle.
She had started training with her father at the age of 13. As soon as she graduated from high school, she spent some of her college years attending wrestling schools all around the state. She wanted to learn more and more as the days went by. Adding to her strong passion for pro wrestling, Jayde was also a second generation wrestler. First daughter of Stone Cold Steve Austin himself.
She glanced at her father as that thought crossed her mind. The Texas Rattlesnake. The biggest badass in all of wrestling. He was a true icon. A man people look up to and wanted to be like. He is a role model to so many people around the world. And Jayde wanted to be just like him. To also be a role model to thousands of people. She wanted her name to be as big as her father's. He wasn't just an icon to thousands of people around the world, he was an icon to Jayde as well.
Jayde had always wanted to follow in his footsteps. And deep down Jayde knew her dad wanted it too. She wanted to be just as great as him, maybe even greater. She wanted to be the next Austin. She wanted to carry on and elevate the family name and legacy. She wanted people to know that she was Stone Cold Steve Austin's daughter.
And Jayde knew she could do it, after all she had the passion. She had the raw talent. Jayde was talented in every area of this sport, she had all the tools, everything just came so natural for her. As if she was meant to do this. She had the determination, the perseverance and the charisma. She knew she had it all. She was prepared to succeed. She was prepared to follow in her father's footsteps.
But she wanted to cement her own legacy. She did not want people to say that she was just riding on her father's coattails. She didn't want people to say that she was just using her last name to her advantage. She did not ever want people to compare her success with her father's. She wanted to become successful on her own. She wanted to forge her own legacy on her own. All while carrying her family name proudly. Jayde knew that in the world of wrestling, not every one will like you, their will be some haters but she wanted them to look at her and say yes, she did forge her legacy on her own.
As soon as Jayde graduated college she started going for tryouts all over Colorado and Ohio for about four months, until she finally got invited to do a match at an indie show called PCW Ultra. PCW Ultra was pretty popular around Colorado but that was it. Despite the company having so much phenomenal talent, PCW Ultra wasn't all that popular around the wrestling world, if at all. But Jayde planned on changing all of that pretty soon. But as for tonight, Jayde planned on showcasing her amazing talent to the hundreds of people who would be in attendance.
Jayde glanced at the clock on the wall. 7:35 pm. Only a few more hours till her match. Her match was scheduled to be the last match of the night. It was the most important match of the night simply because the name Austin was involved. Jayde knew her last name gave her the advantage she needed to climb her way to the top but she wanted to get there on her own. Not because she was Jayde Austin, but because she was Jayde. She wanted to build her name up. Little by little. And what better way to start than to start small right. After all, that's how her father started his journey.
Her match was scheduled to start at exactly 10 o'clock pm. That was about three hours from now. But Jayde knew she had to get ready to be able to get to the arena on time. PCW Ultra would be held in the Airborne Wrestling Center not too far away.
"Dad it's almost 10 o'clock, I better get ready." She told her dad, as she headed into the bathroom that was on the far side of the wall ajacent to the ring. She closed the door behind her and proceeded to splash some water on her face to get rid of the sweat and took a short shower. After she was done, she wiped her coconut scented hair and body with a white fluffy towel. She ran the towel through her damp hair due to the absence of her hairdryer. Luckily for her, the towel helped to dry her hair quicker than she expected, leaving her hair in its natural loose curls flowing down to her lower back. She tied the towel around her body and then proceeded to pull out a black duffel bag out of a wide wooden cabinet on the bathroom wall.
She placed the duffel bag on the sink and zipped it open, to pull out her ring gear. A proud smile graced her face as she admired her ring gear. She had specially chosen this ring gear because it just matches who she is. Badass, simple and unique. She wasn't one of those girls who wore crops tops and pantie shorts as their ring gear, she wasn't like that at all. Her ring gear is more unique and matches her personality perfectly and that's why she chose it.
She then proceeded to put it on. First the black fish net, then the shorts, then the black sleeveless shirt that said 'The Renegade' in bold white letters, then her knee high, black leather boots that had her surname imprinted on them, and finally her black leather jacket. She wrapped her both her hands, up to her wrists, in black tape, this was to prevent any injuries to her knuckles or wrists.
And finally, she was ready.
She took one look at herself in the mirror and grinned before exiting the bathroom. She met her dad talking to a gym member. Jayde's dad had opened this gym here in Colorado a few years ago to keep himself busy with work and it was going pretty damn great for him. The gym was always packed with people every single day of the week and it helped him generate a lot of money. When the conversation finally ended, the buffy guy walked away with a smile as her father finally turned around to face her.
His eyes lit up and a smile graced his lips. Jayde could practically feel the pride coming off of him in waves. He was proud of her. That alone made Jayde smile. She wanted nothing more in this world than to make her father proud of her in every and anything that she does. He pulled her into a side hug and ruffled her hair, to which she responded with a playful glare as she ran her hands through her ruffled hair.
"You look like a total badass." He commented as Jayde lets out a chuckle.
"Thanks Dad, I better start heading to the arena now." Jayde said as she glanced the clock again. This time it was already 20 minutes past 8. He nodded as he placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Go out there and be the best Jayde." He said with a proud grin. Jayde understood what he said instantly. Go out there and make me proud. Go out there and be the best you can possibly be. Jayde nodded as she pulled him into a hug before heading out through the front doors of the gym and into the massive garage right beside the building of the gym. She walked into the garage and climbed into her red Semi Truck. Jayde wanted to make a badass entrance into the Airborne Wrestling Center and what better way to make a badass entrance than to come in with a Semi Truck.
She started up the truck, as the engine roared to life. She bit her lip to hold in a goofy smile as she pulled out of the garage. She drove down the road with only one thought in her head.
A dream she had had since she was just a little girl was finally going to come true. She would finally have her first wrestling match.
