James was an orphan who grew up on the streets of his hometown giving little care to others unless he saw they needed help. As he grew his desire to protect the innocent grew with him to the point where he joined up with some Mercenaries that had a strict code. The leader took James in at 18 and trained him to fight against government corruption and was for a short time a police officer assistant due to helping bring in a government official for corruption and other serious charges. But after 4 years as their group grew so did the groups desire for money which made James leave before joining up with G.I.Joe.
