With Christmas Break approaching, I was glad to finally get to go home. I was tired of school, as much as I loved it. I decided to invite my friends over for Christmas, but I didn't know if they'd be able to come.

   "Hey Naddie!!" I said as I sat down in a compartment. She and Zoey were sitting there already. "Hey Zo!"

   "Hi," they said. They were bundled in blankets and scarves, as it was unbelievably cold out.

   "Ready for Christmas?" I asked. They both nodded.

  "I'm sure Mum and Dad will let me come," Nadia said. "Can Nickolas come too?"

  My face turned a little red. (apparently Lyssa likes him so imma go with it😒 Raf;Cheer up a bit Maddie!It's not that bad!). Zoey looked at me and smirked.

  "Yeah, of course," I said, looking away from them. I could almost feel their smirks burning into me.

  **time skip to after the train has arrived, and after the letters and such. A few days before Christmas.**

  "Mom!" I said. "Dad! We have to hurry!! They'll be here any minute."

  My mom waved her wand, putting all the books and things on the floor in their proper place. I scrubbed the dishes quickly and set the table. My friends were due to arrive any-

  POOF. I heard the sound come from the fireplace as it erupted in green flames. It was Zoey.

  "Hi Zoey!" I said, tackling her in a hug, covering my white sweater in black soot. "How was your dinner with Beatrice?"

"Oh you know," she said, brushing herself off. "Same ol' same ol'."

  "When will Nadia be he-" I started, only to be interrupted by another flash of green flames.

  "NADIA!" I cried, only to see it wasn't her at all. It was Nickolas (you guys should be happy about all this lovey stuff I'm putting in here!! This is breaking my vow as a Hunter!! Luckily it's Lyssa and not me. 😐)

"Hi!" He said cheerily. "Nadia's on her way!"

  "Err- okay?" I said, aware of the fact that I was going red in the face. Hopefully my parents wouldn't notice.

  Another poof of the fire.

  "Nadia, you're here!" Zoey cried. I ran to her and tackled her into a hug, like I'd done with Zoey.

  "Hi guys!" She said. "Ready for Christmas?"

  "Totally!" Zoey cried.

  "Cmon let's go upstairs!" I said excitedly. Nadia, Zoey, and Nickolas followed me to my bedroom.

  I had a feeling this was going to be the best Christmas ever.
