Later that day, Iris was getting her home ready for her friend's arrival for the sleepover. "Ohh Apollo this is exciting! I haven't had a sleepover in years!" Iris exclaimed.

"I know Iris and I'm glad your friends offered to spend the night here. I also want to let you know that I'll be doing some research on the matter regarding Hannah and the red Shard. So let the others know I don't want to be disturbed in the library," Apollo explained.

"Sure Apollo! I'll make sure the others will know about that when they arrive!" Iris promised.

"Good and once I find any information that could be useful I'll let you all know at once," Apollo said.

"Okay good luck with the books Apollo! I hope you find something that'll tell us why the Red shard sealed itself inside of Hannah's heart," Iris said.

"Thanks Iris and I hope so as well," Apollo said before flying to the library. Iris then went back to getting her place ready for when her friends arrived at her house.

Meanwhile at Hannah's house, she was in the bathroom looking at her reflection in the mirror. She put her hand up to her chest where the Red shard was. She still couldn't believe that it was in there and not even Apollo knew why it was in there. As she was looking in the mirror she heard someone knocking on the bathroom door.

"Hannah dear, are you done yet?" she heard her father ask.

"Um yeah dad I'm done, and don't bother making dinner for me. I'm going to a sleepover at Iris's place," Hannah explained.

"What? But we're having meatloaf for dinner tonight, don't you like it?" Hannah's dad asked.

"Well I kinda like it, but not really, I kinda hate your meatloaf," Hannah said as she grabbed her backpack and left the bathroom.

"What hey I'll let you know my meatloaf is..." Hannah's dad was saying, but trailed off when he saw Hannah's necklace.

"Um dad are you alright?" Hannah asked.

"Oh yeah I'm fine, it's just that, your grandfather had one that looked just like it," Hannah's dad explained before looking at an old photo of him and his father.

Hannah looked at the photo of her dad and Grandfather who passed away when her dad was only sixteen.

"Hehe, you know your necklace looks just like the one he had; however, he gave it to someone else. He told me that they needed more than he did," her dad explained.

"What was he like dad?" Hannah asked.

"He was brave, kind, smart, he had so much love to give to everyone around him. It's just sad to think that he's now gone, I still think about him sometimes and you're a lot like him Hannah," her dad explained.

"I am?" Hannah asked.

"Yeah, just like him you're brave, kind, and you also have a lot of love to give to everyone," her dad explained.

"Thanks Dad. I'm glad you said that, I love you," Hannah said before hugging her father.

Her dad smiled back and hugged his daughter back, he then said, "I hope you have fun at your sleepover, and I can't believe you don't like my meatloaf."

Hannah laughed before saying, "Let me tell you something dad, no one likes your meatloaf."

Hannah then let go of her dad and left to go to Iris's house for the sleepover.

"Ha she got you good, Dad," Hannah's brother said.

Dad looked back at his son and asked, "Son you like my meatloaf right?" Hannah's brother then looked to the side before going back into his room not answering his father, much to his disappointment.

Later, the Rainbow Squads were waiting for Iris to pull them up into her home. Soon a beam of light came down to them and they were all teleported up to her. Once they were up at Iris's house the light disappeared, which showed that Josh had jumped into Jake's arms.

"Josh really?" Jake asked.

"Sorry, I'm gonna need to get used to that," Josh said as he got down.

"Hey guys it's nice to see you all again!" Iris said, getting everyone's attention.

They all looked and saw Iris smiling brightly while practically skipping up to them.

"Hey Iris, are you excited for this slumber party?" Jenny asked.

"Yeah I am, and I'm also excited for the first day of the Springfield Valentine's Day festival!" Iris exclaimed.

"Same here the festival is amazing, and don't get me started on the amount of food that they have there!" Josh said excitedly.

"Every year my brother here gorges himself on all the food till he's sick," Lila explained.

"Hey it's not my fault that the food at the fair is good!" Josh argued.

"Yeah, yeah whatever, I'm just surprised that you don't need new clothes from how much you eat," Lila joked.

Josh just stuck his tongue out at his sister and she laughed at it.

"Hey, why don't you two stop teasing each other and let's go inside to have some fun!" Iris suggested.

"Sure, I brought some games we can all play together," Jake said.

"I also brought some movies we can watch as well," Josh said.

"Wow really! I can't wait to see what else we're all going to do!" Iris exclaimed excitedly.

"Me too, I've never had a sleepover before so I'm really excited for this," Hannah explained.

Everyone else smiled and went into Iris's home and started settling down for the slumber party.

"Hey Iris, where's Apollo?" Amara asked.

"He's in the library trying to figure out how the red shard was in Hannah's heart. He also said he doesn't want to be disturbed while he's in there, so don't bother him right now," Iris explained.

"AWW I wanted to play with him, I missed him so much while we all were separated," Umang whined sadly.

"Hey Umang it's alright we all can still play together," Josh reassured Umang.

"Thanks Josh, but still I want to talk to Apollo again. I missed him a lot," Umang said as he rested his head on the floor.

"Yeah I missed him a lot, but if he wants to be alone I'll wait for him," Faith said.

"That's good to hear, so what should we all do first?" Iris asked.

"Hey I got an idea, we should try out some face masks I brought!" Lila suggested.

"Ohh that sounds nice!" Iris exclaimed.

"Yeah and I can make us some food later, so we can have something to eat while we're watching a movie!" Jenny suggested excitedly.

Everyone got excited when they heard that Jenny was going to cook as she always made such delicious meals.

'Wow I almost forgot what a sleepover is like. I can't wait till we save my kingdom and my friends so we all can have a big sleepover at my castle!' Iiris thought to herself.

In the Shadow realm, Adrienne was in her room tidying up her hair when she heard someone come into her room.

"HEY! What do I say about coming into my room! DON'T DO IT UNLESS YOU KNOCK FIRST!" Adrienne screamed angrily at the person who barged into her room.

"S-Sorry your majesty! But I was told to inform you that your father would like to talk to you," the Shadow Shifter quickly explained.

"Ugh you're lucky it's important cause if it was a waste of my time I would have destroyed you," Adrienne explained angrily as she got up and went to her father's room.

She walked down the red and black corridors with banners with broken heart's oh them. She soon arrived in her father's room and opened the old dark red door and entered the room. When she did she went up to her father's sleeping form and waited for him to talk to her.

"Ah Adrienne my dear I'm glad you came here to talk to me," Lucifer said.

"Well what did you want to talk about father?" Adrienne asked.

"Well I want to show you what I have been working on with the negativity the Shadow Shifters collected," Lucifer explained.

"Ah and what is that?" Adrienne asked.

"I made these black orbs. I call them Night Orbs, they can do the same thing as the Crystal Balls, but instead they are absorbed into a human's heart and it'll turn them into a shadow. However what makes them different from the Crystal Balls is that the Rainbow Squads won't be able to destroy them as they'll be inside the human's heart. So unless they want to destroy the heart, which we both know they won't, they will have no way to stop the shadow." Lucifer explained to his daughter.

"Ah I see hehe great work father. I'll have Shade go out and test it out in the morning. I also heard from the Shadow Shifters that there'll be this festival in the city the Squads live in. So why not have him crash it and ruin it in the process of testing this out?" Adrienne asked.

"Haha, always bright as ever, Adrienne, I can always count on you to come up with such horrific ideas," Lucifer praised his daughter.

Adrienne smiled as she went back to her room, excited to initiate their plan tomorrow.

The next day, the Rainbow Squads were wandering through the streets of the city, admiring the beautiful decorations for the festival. They left their animal guides at Iris's house so they can all catch up with Apollo in peace.

"Wow this looks amazing! I love it!" Iris exclaimed happily.

"Yeah and my dad, who organized all of this, invited Love singer and songwriter Erna to come and sing at the parade later today," Ed explained.

"Really? Aww man, her stuff is amazing and she has a great voice too," Erick said.

"She does, but I'm more or less here for the food... Sniff, Sniff... Hey is that pizza I smell?" Josh asked. He then ran in the direction where he smelled the pizza, which was the nearby stand. Everyone giggled at Josh running to the smell of food and they all decided to go and explore the festival.

"Jane and myself are going to hit up the music stand and see what kind of love songs they've got," Erick said, before taking Jane.

"And I wanna show Hannah a little something special," Jake said, then took Hannah by the hand and walked off.

"And I promised Jason I'd help him find gifts for Mom, so I'll see you once I'm done with that," Lila said then walked off to find her dad.

"Okay then I'll be here... alone... without Light," Iris said sadly as she looked down with her heart aching for Light.

Josh came back with some pizza, he looked over at Iris and saw how sad she was. Feeling bad for her he decided to try to do what he could to cheer her up.

"Hey Iris, you wanna check out more parts of the festival with me?" Josh offered.

"Really? Thanks Josh! I wanna see more of what this festival has in store for us!" Iris exclaimed excitedly.

Josh smiled then took Iris by the hand and led her to another part of the festival where the games and food stands were.

In the Shadow realm, Adrienne handed Shade the Night Orb that Lucifer made last night and explained how it worked.

"So all I have to do is launch this at a human's heart and they'll turn into a shadow?" Shade asked.

"Yes and since it's in the heart The Squads won't be able to destroy it," Adrienne explained.

"HA! Well then let's see how The Squads try to defeat this!" Shade exclaimed evilly.

Adrienne smiled sinisterly as Shade headed off to earth. She knew that The Squads won't be able to do anything against the new Night Orbs and the shadows they will create.

Back On Earth, Iris and Josh were drinking some cherry and strawberry flavored boba teas that were being sold at one of the food stands. "Mhh this is really good!" Iris exclaimed as she took a sip from her drink.

"I know right this is the only time of the year where we can have this kind of tea! I don't know why they don't just serve it all throughout the year?" Josh asked as he drank more of his own.

"Well if they did it wouldn't be special now would it?" Iris asked.

"Hehe yeah, but it's still so good that I wish I could have it more often," Josh said as he took another big sip.

Iris giggled at Josh thinking he was really funny; she also smiled a bit as she was feeling a tad better despite Light not being with her on this day. Her heart still ached without Light there with her, but she knew that they would one day reunite and have the good old days back.

"HEY IRIS LOOK! IT'S ERNA!" Josh screamed then grabbed Iris by the arm and brought her over to where he saw Erna.

Iris looked and saw the singer surrounded by bodyguards and fans. The guards were trying to keep the fans away from Erna as she was trying to get around the streets. Josh jumped up excitedly as he loved Erna's music and Iris just smiled as while she had never heard Erna's music before she was happy with all the love going around.

Meanwhile Shade was up in the sky looking down at the festival with a scowl on his face. "Ecka! All this love and happiness in the air is making me sick! Why do humans enjoy this so much?" Shade asked.

However a memory then came back to him; it was when he and Iris were younger and it was the same day. Iris was giving him a present that was a golden locket with half of a heart on it.

"Here Light this is for you, I have one half, and you have the other, as long as we keep both halves we'll always have each other even when we're apart," a young Iris explained.

"Wow thanks Iris, I promise to never take it off. Pinky swear," a young Light said as he held out his pinky finger.

A young Iris smiled and wrapped her pinky finger around Light's while smiling warmly. After remembering that time Shade shook his head dismissing the memory entirely. "That was in the past, I'm not in love with the enemy," Shade said to himself.

He then looked down and saw Iris and Josh together now playing a game. When he saw them together he felt jealousy rise in his heart but he tried to suppress it. "No Shade, you don't care about Iris being with that other boy," Shade tried reassuring himself.

However when he looked back he saw Josh giving Iris a stuffed unicorn he managed to win in the game. Seeing Iris smile brightly as she cuddled the toy sent him in a spiraling rage as jealousy fueled his heart. He then flew down to the two so fast that he almost crashed into the ground. Thankfully Shade was able to stop himself before he could make contact with the ground.

"Hey you two look at me!" Shade called out to Josh and Iris.

The two looked up at him and were shocked to see Shade shaking with so much rage.

"L-Light?!" Iris said, startled and surprised.

"My name is SHADE, not Light! Now I don't know why I'm so annoyed with the two of you hanging out, but I think it's because it's to do with how happy you both seem to be! So I'm going to change that!" Shade exclaimed angrily.

"And how are you planning on doing that? Using your crystal ball? HA! You forgot we can easily destroy them," Josh explained a bit mockingly.

"Oh, is that what you think I'm going to do? Well I'd love to disappoint you, but I've got a little something new to use," Shade explained.

"Um what's that?" Josh asked while cocking his head in confusion.

Shade then pulled out one of the Night Orbs he had and looked to the side to see Erna with her secretary. Shade smiled evilly and launched one of the Night Orbs he had towards the singer, using his magic to shoot it right at her heart. When the night orb hit Erna's heart she collapsed to the ground which caused everyone to freak out.

Josh and Iris were both shocked by this and confused about what was going to happen to Erna. A black smoke then surrounded Erna's body and she turned into a shadow wolf with red glowing eyes. Everyone who saw this screamed and started running away from the area in order to get to safety.

"IRIS, JOSH, WHAT'S GOING ON?!" Lila screamed in a panic. Lila along with the rest of the squads all came running into the scene and saw the newly formed shadow wolf.

"What the heck! Of all days, why today on the first day of the Valentine's Day festival?!" Erick asked, annoyed at the situation.

"I don't know but you all know what to do right?" Hannah asked.

"Oh yeah let's do this!" Josh exclaimed as he and Iris went up to the group.

"ALL TOGETHER! RAINBOW POWER ACTION!" the Squads all screamed together and transformed into their Rainbow Squad forms. Once they were done transforming they stood together and said, "Shining Bright In the Darkest Night! Here Are the Rainbow Squads!"

When Shade saw this he felt tense but he remembered that the new Night Orbs weren't like the crystal balls so the squads wouldn't be able to stop the shadow. "HA well if you all think you can defeat this new kind of shadow!" Shade said.

"You always say that, and I'm starting to think you're getting a big ego! So I'll show you what happens when you get a big head!" Erick stated as he summoned his guitar and used it against the shadow.

However the shadow didn't even flinch at Erick's attack and instead opened its mouth and shot out a magical blast at the squads. Jake then summoned his shield and used it to block the impact. However when it made contact with Jake's shield it instantly shattered on impact causing everyone to be thrown back and Jake groaned in pain.

"Ugh Why did I feel like someone just hit me with the world's largest frying pan?" Jake asked as he tried to get back up.

"I don't know, but you ain't going to get away with doing this!" Josh exclaimed then got out his gun and fired a shot at the shadow.

However it just opened its mouth and ate the blast before firing it right back at Josh. Josh screamed and jumped out of the way of the blast.

"HAHAH! I didn't think that this shadow would be this powerful!" Shade laughed, mocking the Squads.

"Agh, well just you wait Shade once we find the Crystal ball this shadow won't be around for much longer!" Jane exclaimed.

"HAHAH You Squads dont seem to get it do you? I said this was a new kind of Shadow and I don't need a crystal ball to turn humans into my shadow minions. I used a little something called a Night Orb and it is absorbed into a human's heart, so unless you want to destroy that heart you Squads won't stand a chance!" Shade explained mockingly with an evil tone.

"WHAT! That is just all kinds of sick and wrong Shade! Not to mention that is just plain cruel!" Jenny exclaimed angrily.

"Yeah, but what can we do against this new shadow? It's really strong!" Ed said scared and wondering what to do.

Hannah thought about what they could do against the new shadow. She remembered the fight they had against Adrienne last month. She recalled the new move they did to weaken her and she thought that they could use it to stop the shadow.

"GUYS I HAVE AN IDEA!" Hannah shouted.

"What is it? And you better say it fast cause I think that Shadow is getting ready for another attack!" Jake explained, scared and backing away.

"Well, remember the attack we did on Adrienne?" Hannah asked.

"Yeah How could we forget it? That was amazing!" Erick exclaimed.

"Yeah well why don't we try it on this new shadow?" Hannah asked.

"Hmm you know that sounds like a good idea!" Jane said.

"But will it work? That's the main question," Lila explained, worried it might not work.

"Well unless anyone around here has any other idea then I'm all ears!" Hannah exclaimed then waited for her friends to say something. However no one said anything so they all agreed to go with Hannah's plan to use Rainbow Collision.

"What are you all going to do now? I told you already that this shadow is impossible to destroy, you all might as well just accept your fate!" Shade explained getting frustrated with the Squads.

"Sorry Light, but we will never accept such a horrible fate. As long as we all live we all will continue fighting till our kingdom is restored and the darkness within your heart is gone!" Iris exclaimed with her eyes glowing bright with hope.

When Shade heard the name Light he felt something in his heart again but quickly shook it off. "SHADOW DESTROY THEM NOW!" Shade commanded his shadow and it obeyed.

The Shadow then started preparing for an attack; however, the Rainbow Squads were quicker and started using Rainbow Collision. They got into the shape of a heart and channeled all of their positive emotions into their amulets.

Once they were done with that their eyes glowed and they all said at once "RAINBOW COLLISION!" A blast was sent right at the Shadow who tried to fire a blast right back at them. However the blast was immediately disintegrated by the magic the Squads sent and the Shadow was hit. The Darkness that was in the Shadow here disappeared and it turned back into Erna whom Iris caught as she fell to the ground.

When Shade saw this he couldn't help but get very angry as the new Night Orbs had failed. He flew off grumbling to himself but also wondering how he would tell Adrienne about this.

Iris looked up and saw Shade teleport away, her heart ached badly as she missed the Light she knew and loved very fondly. She then felt someone put their hand on her shoulder and looked up to see Josh.

"Don't worry Iris, we'll get Light back and you two can be together again," Josh said.

Iris smiled at his words and thanked him for telling her that before giving him a one armed hug.

"Ugh w-what happened?" Erna in a dazed voice asked.

The Squads looked and saw that she was waking up from her pre-Shadow turned state.

"It's a long story but the short version is that you got turned into a Shadow and we saved you," Iris explained.

"Really? Well thank you... hey you all are the Rainbow Squads! That's great, my niece and nephew are big fans," Erna explained.

"Aww thanks, let them know we appreciate any fan," Hannah said.

Erna smiled then got up with some help from Iris as she was still a little dazed from what just happened. "Hey I'm not sure if you all are aware of this but I'm singing in this year's Valentine's festival and I was wondering if you all like to join me on the float I'll be on?" Erna asked.

When the Squads heard that offer they all got excited but they knew that they couldn't accept it. "We appreciate the offer but we're just here to help protect the citizens of this world, but again thank you kindly for the offer," Erick said in a respectful and thankful tone.

Erna smiled and said, "I understand then I will just have my song dedicated to you all as a thank you for saving me."

The Squads smiled before bidding Erna a goodbye and leaving as people returned to the area. Later that night everyone gathered at the sidewalks and watched the parade go by.

Soon Erna arrived on her float and said, "This goes out to the Rainbow Squads who earlier today saved my life, if you all are hearing this then I wanna say thank you all!"

The Squads who were now back in their regular forms cheered loud and proud as Erna started singing. The Squads were so happy and their amulets glowed brightly as everyone cheered becoming stronger with the more positive energy in the air.
