Chapter 2 The First Squad part 2
When Hannah got home she saw that her parents weren't back yet. She looked in the kitchen and saw a note that read "Dear Kids I'm going out with your father this evening so we'll be home late. I left you all some money so you kids could order take out. Hope you all had a great day at school, Love your mother." Hannah sighed as she put the letter down and went up to her room and started on her homework.
After about an hour Hannah was all done with her homework and was now doing her chores when she heard the door open. She looked and saw that her brother and sister had just got back from their after school clubs.
"Hey Little sis, how was your day at school?" Daniel asked his little sister.
"Oh, it was ok, I guess aside from when some bullies picked on me," Hannah said in a forced flat tone.
"WHAT! WHO ARE THEY? WHY I OTTA!-" Daniel screamed before Hannah could cut him off.
"Daniel, it's ok. A girl at my school helped me and she and her friends offered to let me into their group." Hannah soothingly told her brother to calm him down.
"Oh well that's good cause if any bozo tried to hurt my little sisters I'll show them what for," Daniel said while clutching his fist.
Hannah sighed as she went back to her chore which was emptying out the trash.
"Hey big sis, where's mommy and daddy?" Lilly asked.
"They will be out for a while so they left money to order take away instead," Hannah said while pointing to the money sitting on the table.
"Ok well come-on Lilly let's get our homework done then our chores after that we can order take out," Daniel said while taking his youngest sister's hand and leading her into the living room.
Soon Hannah was done with her chores while her older brother and younger sister had started on their own. Hannah went up to her room so she wouldn't be in the way. She sat down at her desk and turned on her computer.
After a while she got bored and then remembered the necklace that old woman gave her. She remembered that on her way home she put it in her backpack and it got buried in everything while she was walking. She then got her backpack out of her wardrobe and started scrambling through it. She managed to find it and once she did, once she straightened up the items inside, she placed it back in the wardrobe. She then placed the necklace on her desk and examined it.
"Huh, strange, it looks like that the chain of this necklace is made of gold and the gem seems to be a ruby. So why didn't that old woman take this to a jeweler and trade it for money? Anyone in her position would do so," Hannah posed this question to herself.
Hmm, if only I had someone who could analyze it and see if it's real or fake, Hannah thought to herself while leaning back into her chair. Then she remembered something that the others had said about Ed.
She remembered that Jenny had told during lunch about Ed that seemed like useful information. "Ed's the smartest kid in school. He's been valedictorian for three years straight. If you ever need any help ask him he loves helping others, as long as they're grateful for it," Jenny had said.
"That's it! I can ask Ed for help if he really is that smart, then he can help me find out if this necklace is real or fake," Hannah said out loud but then realized that she didn't know where he or the others where or how to get in touch with them.
She then remembered them talking about heading off to the ice cream shop down the street from school, so she decided to see if they were still there.
"If they're not there then I'll just talk to them at school" Hannah said to herself before leaving and telling her siblings she was going out for a walk.
She headed back in the same direction as the school and then took the route that led to the ice cream shop that her phone's GPS led to. On her way there she heard someone yelling. She saw a cram school that she had read about the week before when she was doing research on her own school. She looked to see a cram school student in a bad mood and yelling, about something so she decided to see what he was screaming about.
When she got closer she heard him yelling, "AGH, MOM WHY IS SHE ALWAYS LATE? COME ON WHY CAN'T SHE EVER BE ON TIME! GGRR!"
The boy screamed before he calmed down and said, "Ugh, who am I kidding? She works three jobs just to support us. I shouldn't be too hard on her because she's doing her best."
She heard another voice say, "Oh please, you're really going to let all that anger go like that?"
The cram school boy looked up and saw a strange looking man. He looked like he was in his late teens, possibly nineteen, and he was wearing lots of dark clothing.
The strange man said, "but you know what? It's all those positive feelings you have, so I'll just remove them." He then pulled out an orb and pointed it at the cram school boy. The orb then started glowing black and then blasted the boy. A white stream of light came out of the boy and went into the orb and soon the orb was full of that white light and the boy collapsed to the ground.
Hannah panicked and ran up to the boy to see if he was okay. When a black mass started covering his body. Then cracks appeared with a cracking nose similar to that of an breakin egg shell. Then like a shell, the black mass around the boy broke apart and the force had pushed Hannah back. When she looked, she was horrified to see that the boy had turned into an angry shadowy gorilla.
The stranger laughed and said, "Perfect, just the kind of anger and negativity I need to create a shadow monster. Now I can find Princess Iris."
Hannah just sat in horror while other people started running away out of terror from the scene. The strange man then looked at Hannah and smiled seeing the terror on her face, but then he saw the necklace that she had in her hand.
"Well, well, it looks like you have the red amulet of the Rainbow Squads. If that's so, then you must know Princess Iris. If that's the case then TELL ME WHERE SHE IS!" the stranger demanded.
"W-what?! I don't know who you're talking about. I-I don't know any princesses!" Hannah stammered.
"Oh really, then how do you have that amulet? But you know what I think, you're lying to me. SHADOW DESTROY HER!" The stranger commanded the creature.
It started charging at Hannah which prompted her petrified body to start moving. Hannah turned around and ran as fast as she could, but the shadow creature was inhumanly fast and it was gaining on her. Hannah felt tears of despair running down her cheeks as she desperately tried to get away.
"AWW, THIS IS HOPELESS, I WISH WE NEVER MOVED HERE!" Hannah screamed out of despair feeling even more homesick and scared than ever.
"Oh stop being so negative," a female voice gently reverberated in Hannah's head. This took her off guard as she tried to figure out who that voice belonged to.
It continued saying, "I know you're homesick and you want to go back to your old home. But your new home has so much to offer as it means that you'll have even more friends and even more happier memories than you could have had back home. Now stop being so negative and put on that necklace and say, 'RAINBOW POWER ACTION!' "
Hannah then thought about what that voice said and remembered something that her old friends said to her the day she left. Back on that day Hannah was talking to her friends as it was the day she had to leave. "Guys I'm going to miss you all so much I wish I didn't have to move to the city."
"Oh, it's okay, Hannah we'll miss you too," one of her friends said.
"Yeah but think of all the opportunities you'll have there!" another friend exclaimed.
"Yeah, you'll meet new friends, try new things, and hey if we get the chance to meet your new friends then we can all hang out together and become one big friend group," another friend said trying to help Hannah look on the bright side.
My old friends are right, why am I so upset? After all this is a great opportunity to have even more friends and to try new things. It's normal to feel scared and home sick but I won't let those negative feelings get in my way of enjoying this new life! Hannah thought to herself.
She then stopped running and faced the shadow monster and the guy who made it.
"So you decided to accept your fate?" the guy asked.
"NO because I'm not going to let you hurt anyone else and I'm saving that student. He has a bright future ahead and I won't let you ruin it! NOT NOW, NOT EVER!" Hannah exclaimed then put on the necklace.
"If that's how you want it, then FINE BY ME! Shadow destroy her!" The guy commanded and the shadow started charging at Hannah again.
"Ok let's do this. RAINBOW POWER ACTION!" Hannah screamed as loud as she could and the necklace glowed and she was surrounded by a rose red light.
Immediately she started to transform. Her normal boots turned into red and white dress boots, her clothes turned into a beautiful red dress with a stream of white down the middle with a big red heart in the front part of it where the red gem lies. Her hair then glowed before turning from purple to red and becoming much bigger and bouncer and to top it all off a golden crown with a heart red gem appeared on her head.
Next, she stood planted on the ground and said, "The color of roses and the color of love. I'm The Red Squad of the Rainbow Squads. Those of you who need some love in your life, I'm right here to give it to you, feel the colors of the rainbow!"
The guy looked shocked by what he saw before screaming, "AGH! So you are A Rainbow Squad you've got to be kidding! But wait, that means that Princess Iris is indeed in this world. Then I must thank you for this because now I'm one step closer to finding her."
"I might not know who you're talking about, but I won't allow you to find her." Hannah replied.
"Hmm, whatever. Now shadow do your thing!" the guy demanded.
The shadow nodded and then charged up to Hannah again but this time she didn't run away. Instead she ran right at it and stopped him with her bare hands and to her shock the shadow did indeed stop as Hannah was now holding it up in the air.
The stranger was shocked by this and the shadow was trying to get Hannah to let go but she was able to throw him. Hannah was extremely shocked by how strong she was now. The shadow became as big as her own house and was clearly very heavy, but it had felt like a feather to her.
Once again she heard that female voice who exclaimed, "Good job! Now focus all your love and determination into your heart and channel it into your gem. After that say 'Heart! Sword! Power!' and slice through that crystal ball."
Hannah nodded and did so as she gathered all the love in her heart and transferred it into the gem. As she did this, it started glowing brighter and brighter. Soon it opened up and Hannah saw the base of a sword poking out of it. She grabbed a hold of it. It was indeed a sword but the sword guard was in the shape of a heart and the blade was also decorated with hearts.
As she turned to the guy and saw that he still had the crystal ball in his hands, she knew what she had to do. She charged up to the guy and he thought she was going to fight him so he got into a fighting position. However this was a mistake as his hand that held the crystal ball was in front of him and Hannah took advantage of this by kicking it out of his hand.
She then screamed " HEART! SWORD! POWER!"
These words caused the sword to glow a bright red and sent beams of light at the crystal ball as Hannah sliced through the air. The beams cut right through the crystal ball and it shattered causing the light inside it to flow out. It headed towards the Shadow and went into it.
The shadow then felt the love and positivity burning strongly inside his heart. Cracks then appeared on the shadow again, this time white ones and the black shell broke apart and it turned back into the boy. He sat up rubbing his head wondering what was going on and why he had such a big headache.
As Hannah looked around she saw light shining all around and everything that got damaged in the fight went back to normal as if nothing happened.
Hannah then looked to see where the stranger was, but he was gone. She looked up and saw that he was flying away while muttering something to himself before he disappeared.
Hannah then floated back to the ground and sat down exhausted from what had just occurred. She was once again surrounded by a bright light and her clothes changed back to normal.
After a moment Hannah looked at the necklace and she still couldn't believe what had just happened. She had powers now and she just fought a giant shadowy gorilla
"I have a feeling that this is the start of a great adventure" Hannah said to herself as she got up and went back home.
