chapter 2
Kirako Nara got home to her apartment. She didn't live with her uncle, because he didn't know she existed.
"You are fast," a male gasped. "What else can you do?" She growled in anger and tiredness.
"Troublesome," she whispered. "Okay one, I've always been fast. Its a trait I've learned to except it. Two, I'm a civilian. Any evading and seeing what's not there is because I have raised, and been pranked by, Naruto Uzamaki." She flopped down on her coach. They waited in silence for a few minutes before she lazily raised three fingers.
After a second she counted down and pointed to the window. "Dang it," a loud voice rang in the small apartment. "I'll sneak up on you someday." He got a chuckle in response. "Hey Riko who are they?"
"Sorry gaki," she looked at the blue eyed blonde. "You got caught. They're here to take you to see the hokage." He pouted and stood waiting for them to take him. "Be better next time, or do as I say. Don't ever get seen."
"Hai Kirako," he sighed as the ANBU took him to see the hokage. When they got there Naruto piped up, "You realise you just got played, right?" The silver haired one looked at the tinny blonde. "She is good at side tracking people. Does it to keep her family from realising she is alive."
The two ANBU leave the hyper blonde with an angry Ibiki and laughing hokage.
"We are supposed to be geniuses," the long dark and angry, haired male kicked his speed up a notch. "I'm betting if we tell Nara-sama she will have to be an ANBU." Both men turn to the Nara compound.
"Now why would you do that," arms crossed. "Don't you have students to teach?" A hidden look of shock. "Really? Masks don't change who you are. I'm surprised that no one knows all the famous ones. Puppy here is a Hatake. And you with the feral ferret are an Uchiha."
"We need her in TI not ANBU," was the reply.
~hokage's office. Again.~
"Have you ever thought of getting carpet?" A not very amused teen looked at the ground. "Get it blood red and you can hide all the stains. Or black, only white would bother it. Though its hard to see what the floor has now." Papers were everywhere. "Hey Naru. I wasn't paying attention this morning. Is it always like this?"
"Yep," he popped the 'p'. "And I know the secret, but don't tell him." She laughed. The hokage jumped up.
"Tell me!"
"Okay," the two give each other a look. "Closer," they erg. "SECRET!" One yelled. The other laughed till they couldn't breath.
"But seriously a couple of you would totally turn this around. I wonder what the floor looks like. How tall is the paper floor," naruto babbled.
"That would be so cool," kirako sighed. "I wish I could use chakra like you guys do."
A purple dragon shimmered into existence around her neck. 'Hey Kirako. Boss asked when you were going to train Naru to call us?' It pouted as much as it could. She only shook her head in a mock, what am I going to do with you, way.
"Amorta," Naruto called. "Could I even learn to call the Ryuu?"
"Explain," the hokage growled.
"My full name is Kirako Nara-Ryou. My dad was the Nara. I've never met him. But mama, before she died, said that he was intelligent and brave. For someone so lazy that is."
"I just realised something," the hokage gasped. "Shikaku doesn't have a brother."
"What do you mean? Did mama lie?" Kirako looked at the little dragon. "Do you know Ama?"
"Nope," the little dragon moved to nuzzle her cheek. "Papa might know him. Apparently they met and your dad won in a game of shogi." The little dragon disappeared and another dragon came back with her. This one wrapped around her body.
"Tatsuya I can't move," the Nara layer her head back letting the serpent take her weight.
'Hello to you too,' the dragon chuckled. 'So you want to know your father? He is Shikaku Nara.' The men had minimal reaction.
"Does this make me the heir of the Nara clan now," she asked. "Cuz I don't wanna." A yawn escaped her afterwards. "Tatsuya can I take a nap?" The dragon agreed.
"Naruto go get Shikaku," the genin did as ordered. The all the males looked at her thoughtfully. "She is still on your team."
"No she can't," Dog growled like his name suggests. "I won't work with her. She can't even use chakra."
"I meant both teams," the old man smirked. "She could probably get Sasuke and Naruto to work together for once. Off the battle field." The men jerk slightly. "She already knows who you are. It won't matter if she wakes up now," Ibiki, who was clean..ish now, chuckled from his hidden place behind the hokage.
"She makes a point though," the man was serious then. "A mask only hides your face. The way you walk, battle, talk, execute a jutsu. It stays the same. We must really be unobservant to not know the famous ones. Like Dog and Weasel here."
A giggle came from the supposedly sleeping girl, "oh this is priceless. Dog is Kakashi Hatake. Weasel is just that Weasel. Well with a better name and a spoiled brat little brother. Itachi Uchiha. Nice to 'meet' you by the way."
Itachi growled. Only person who could talk bad about Sasuke was himself and Naruto. The dragon however growled scarier.
Shikaku came in to this scene:
Itachi and Kakashi, with masks off, were being held down by dragons. As an 8ft dragon curled in a snake like fashion with a teen girl practically asleep in the coils.
"Yes Lord Hokage?" The older Nara yawned.
"Yes do you remember an Akira Ryou?" A nod. "That sleeping, hopefully, dragon child is her daughter. And apparently yours."
Shikaku Nara's brain literally stopped. For the first time ever it couldn't think of an answer.
Memories of their times together came up, but none of that nature. He didn't believe it could happen.
'We made it happen,' the dragon she was asleep on spoke. 'She needed Kirako and you were the best we had ever seen. That blood we took was how we did it.' Shikaku looked relieved. She sleeping teen did look like his Shikamaru. So maybe another girl in the house wouldn't be all that bad.
"Is Riko-nee going to leave me?" Naruto's normally loud voice, was quiet. "Its okay if she does. She has family now. I won't stand in the, WOW!" Amorta pulled him to the teen. She curled around him and snuggled in to the dragons coil's for the warmth she lost.
'I guess I'm taking both home,' Shikaku sighed. "Troublesome. I have to go explain this to my wife. Can I get a dragon to come with me?" An elder flapped its way over to him. "I'll be back for those two." 'Double troublesome.' Then her was gone.
